シティは4日に行われたCL準決勝2ndレグで、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)とホームで対戦。1stレグを1-2で勝利し、有利な状況で迎えたこの試合でも2点を先取。その後は相手の反撃を許さず、2-0で勝利した。
この結果、2戦合計4-1となり、クラブ史上初となるCL決勝進出が決定。悲願のタイトル獲得まで、残り1勝という状況になっている。
この勝利には、多くのOBも喜びを露わに。シティで公式戦348試合に出場し、守護神としてチームを44年ぶりのプレミアリーグ優勝に導いた経歴を持つハートも、イギリス『BTスポーツ』に出演した際に喜びのコメントを残した。

アヤックス、シティの逸材WGボルジェスを獲得! 総額29億円
