オーストリアに競り勝ったクロアチアが初のベスト4進出《UEFAネーションズリーグ》

UEFAネーションズリーグ・リーグA・グループ1最終節、オーストリア代表vsクロアチア代表が25日に行われ、1-3でクロアチアが勝利した。

3位フランスと1ポイント差の最下位オーストリア(勝ち点4)は、アラバやザビッツァー、アルナウトビッチらが先発となった。

一方、2位デンマークと1ポイント差の首位クロアチア(勝ち点10)は、モドリッチやブロゾビッチ、ペリシッチらが先発となり、[4-3-3]で臨んだ。

互角の攻防で立ち上がった中、6分にクロアチアが先制する。ヴラシッチのパスを受けたモドリッチがボックス右からニアサイドへシュートを蹴り込んだ。

しかし2分後、オーストリアがすかさず追いつく。左サイドからのザビッツァーのクロスをバウムガルトナーがヘッド。これが決まった。

その後、ブロゾビッチが負傷してピッチを後にしたクロアチアは、オーストリアに押し込まれる状況が続くと、44分にピンチ。

シュラーガーのラストパスを受けたアルナウトビッチにボックス右から決定的なシュートを許すも、GKリヴァコビッチがファインセーブで阻止し、前半は1-1で終了した。

迎えた後半も互角の攻防で立ち上がった中、65分にオーストリアがグレゴリッチュのヘディングシュートでオンターゲットを記録。

しかし69分、クロアチアが勝ち越しに成功する。ボックス左からペリシッチがクロスを入れると、ファーサイドのリバヤがヘッドで押し込んだ。

そしてクロアチアが一気に突き放す。72分、ショートコーナーの流れからソサのクロスをロブレンがダイビングヘッドで押し込んだ。

終盤にかけてはクロアチアが試合をコントロール。3-1のまま勝利し、3大会目にして初のベスト4進出を果たした。
