今夏のユベントス退団が度々報じられているポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド。その噂を一気に加速させる出来事があったが、どうやら無関係のようだ。

2018年夏にレアル・マドリーからユベントスへと移籍加入したC・ロナウド。チームの得点源として活躍し、3シーズン目で通算100ゴールを達成するなど、衰えは見せていない。

一方で、チャンピオンズリーグのポルト戦やパルマ戦ではFKの壁に入ったものの、シュートを防ぐ動きを見せずにファンから大きく非難されていた。

また、ユベントスが来シーズンのチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)出場権を失いそうなことに加え、代理人が否定はしたものの、C・ロナウドの母が「スポルティング・リスボンに戻るように説得する」と公言したことで、退団の噂が加速していた。

そんな中、16日にC・ロナウドがトリノのガレージから自身のスーパーカーを移動させていたことが報道。イタリア『Persemprecalcio』が動画を公開し、リスボンに本拠をかまえる輸送会社「Rodo Cargo」のトラックに積まれ、ユベントスを去る準備をしていると大きな騒動となった。

しかし、イタリア『コリエレ・トリノ』によると、全くの誤報とのこと。この動きは、1年前に新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)のピークでできなかった車の点検をドイツでするためとのこと。メンテナンスのための移動だったようだ。

とはいえ、ユベントスが来シーズンのCLに出場できない場合は、C・ロナウドがチームを去る可能性は高いとされ、今夏の去就に注目が集まることは間違いない。

日本人が目指すべきCB像、“希少なバロンドーラー“ファビオ・カンナバーロ
