プレミアリーグは先週末に開幕。5月末の昨シーズン終了からおよそ2カ月半の期間を経て新たなシーズンが始まった。束の間のオフを経て、プレシーズン、開幕と大きな変化のあるこの時期だが、それはチームや選手だけでなくスタジアムも同様のようだ。
ウェストハムの本拠地であるロンドン・スタジアムでは、5月21日に昨シーズンの最後のホームゲームとなったリーズ・ユナイテッド戦が行われた。
その後、ナイジェリアの歌手であるバーナ・ボーイさんのライブのために、ピッチの上に豪華なステージが建設されると、その次は6月末に4年ぶりに行われたMLBのロンドン・シリーズのために野球グラウンドに改装された。
元々サッカースタジアムだったとは思えない変貌を遂げていたが、7月には再びアーティストたちのコンサートが開催された後、モンスタージャムと呼ばれるモーター・スポーツエンターテインメントイベントの開催のためにダートとスロープが設置された後、それらが撤去されてようやく元のロンドン・スタジアムの姿へと戻っている。

猫を蹴飛ばし、平手打ち…虐待動画流出のズマが謝罪 「あのような行為は二度と起こらない」
