前半こそゴールレスだったが60分に先制。ボックス際の右で相手選手が倒れた中プレーが続行。スルーパスを受けたデニス・ウンダブがボックス内で相手を引きつけ横パス。最後はダンテ・バンゼイルが落ち着いて決めて先制する。

さらに79分にも2トップのコンビネーションが発動。ボックス手前でボールを持ったウンダブのパスを受けたバンゼイルが、ボックス内からシュート。これが左に決まり、追加点を奪った。

2点リードした83分に、三笘はリーグ戦4試合連続で途中出場。すると直後の84分、ハーフウェイライン付近でパスを受けた三笘は、一気に相手をかわすと、ドリブルで左サイドを駆け上がる。ボックス内左では2人と対峙するが得意の切り返しでかわすと、寄せてきたCBの間を通すパス。これを受けたロイック・ラプッサンが落ち着いて決めて、0-3としそのまま勝利した。
