ウェストハムに加入したなでしこジャパンMF林穂之香(24)が意気込みを綴った。
林はセレッソ大阪堺レディースの出身。中盤の要としても主将としてもチームを支え、育成年代のチームながら、なでしこリーグ1部昇格という快挙の原動力となった。
日本での公式戦では150試合以上に出場し、2021年からはダーム・アルスヴェンスカン(スウェーデン1部)のAIKでプレー。チームの中心選手として活躍していた。
今夏の移籍市場ギリギリでイングランドへの移籍を果たした林は、自身のインスタグラムでウェストハムのユニフォーム姿を披露。意気込みを綴った。

スウェーデンのAIKフットボールのユニフォームデザインが話題を集めている。
AIKは17日、スペシャルエディションとなるユニフォームデザインを発表。創立132周年を祝したキットは本拠地であるストックホルムに敬意を示し、街を描いたとされる16世紀の油絵をモチーフとしたパターンが、白基調のシャツに描かれている。
袖はクラブカラーの黒と黄色で縁取られ、エンブレムは3Dシリコンに。金属粒子により、ゴールドの輝きを引き立たせている。ユニフォームは132部の限定販売となり、シーズンチケット所有者を中心に直接購入希望の連絡が渡るとのことだ。
「世界一スタイリッシュなクラブ」と称されるAIKは、2017年から限定ユニフォームを作成。売上は非営利団体であるスタジアム・スポーツ・キャンプに直接寄付され、経済的手段を持たない子供たちがキャンプに参加する機会をもてるよう使用されている。
男子チームはAIKソルナとして知られ、スウェーデン1部のアルスヴェンカンに所属。これまで6度のリーグ優勝を誇る。女子チームには過去になでしこジャパンの林穂之香(ウェストハム)が在籍。今季は2部を戦う。
コミュニケーション・マネージャーであるトビアス・ラーション氏はユニフォームの発表にあたり、「AIKフットボールにとって、スタイルとは単なる服装以上のもの」と、クラブの哲学について語っている。

ユニフォームを紹介した『ESPN』やクラブ公式サイトには「これは美しい」、「脱帽!」といった賛辞に加え、購入を希望する一般のファンから生産数の少なさを残念に思う声などが寄せられている。

大人気サッカーゲーム『FIFA』シリーズを手がけるエレクトロニック・アーツ(EA)内のEA SPORTSは13日、発売中の『FIFA23』におけるアメリカのナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)全12チームのレーティングを公開した。
女子選手が初めてワールドワイド版のパッケージに採用され、大きな話題を呼んでいた『FIFA23』。今作では同シリーズ史上初めて女子クラブも登場し、イングランドのFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)、フランスのD1アルケマ、アメリカのナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)などのチームが追加される。
NWSLのチームは16日に追加され、ユニフォームや固有フェイス、セレブレーションも搭載。日本からはなでしこジャパンの遠藤純(エンジェル・シティFC)、永里優季(シカゴ・レッドスターズ)、川澄奈穂美(NJ/NYゴッサムFC)、杉田妃和(ポートランド・ソーンズFC)の4選手が登場する。
搭載される日本人女子選手の中で、総合値トップは「84」の永里。トータルでは49位に位置する。なお、ランキングトップはパッケージにも採用されたチェルシーのオーストラリア女子代表FWサム・カー(総合値91)。NWSL組のトップはサンディエゴ・ウェーブFCのアメリカ女子代表アレックス・モーガン(総合値90、トータルランク2位)と、日本にも馴染みのある顔ぶれが並ぶ。
NWSLは25日(日本時間26日)に開幕し、初戦ではエンジェル・シティvsゴッサムFCの日本人所属チームも相まみえる。各選手のプレー観戦はもちろん、ゲームでの使用やパラメータについて議論など、楽しみの幅は広がりそうだ。

FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)最終節が27日に行われ、チェルシーの優勝が決定。マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、アーセナルが来季のUEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)出場権を手にした。
勝てば優勝が決まる首位のチェルシーは、降格が決定している最下位レディングとアウェイで対戦し、18分に挙げたオーストラリア女子代表FWサマンサ・カーの先制弾を皮切りに、3-0と快勝。今季はUWCLや各カップ戦などの過密日程に苦しみながらも4連覇を達成し、6度目の戴冠となった。
2位にはマンチェスター・ユナイテッドはスペイン女子代表FWルシア・ガルシアの2試合連続ゴールで、なでしこジャパンのMF長野風花を擁するリバプールに辛勝。2ポイント差で優勝には届かなかったが、過去最高順位を更新し、クラブ史上初となるUEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)出場権を獲得している。
3位フィニッシュはアーセナル。チェルシーと同じく日程面に苦しんだだけでなく、シーズン中に4人がヒザの前十字靭帯損傷に見舞われるという不運に。最終節ではアストン・ビラに敗れ、勝ち点ではマンチェスター・シティと並んだものの、得失点差により、UWCL出場権内をキープした。
シティは長谷川唯がアンカーと奮闘したが、9季ぶりにトップ3から漏れて4位でフィニッシュ。5位には今季加入のレイチェル・デイリーが異色の躍進を見せたアストン・ビラ、6位にはエバートンが入った。
昇格組の宿命か、下位に甘んじていたリバプールは、冬のマーケットで長野が加入して以降安定し、7位で終了。清水梨紗と林穂之香が在籍するウェストハムは、10戦未勝利の難局もあって8位に。岩渕真奈が途中加入したトッテナムも、9連敗や指揮官交代の憂き目にあって9位でシーズンを終えている。
10位、11位はそれぞれレスター・シティ、ブライトン&ホーブ・アルビオンと続き、最下位は先述の通り、レディングとなった。
得点女王にはアストン・ビラのデイリーが輝いた。イングランド女子代表では主に左サイドバックながら、クラブではストライカーという立ち位置で22ゴールをマークした。

FA女子スーパーリーグ第18節の4試合が、3月30日から31日にかけて各地で行われた。
プレントン・パークでは、なでしこジャパンのMF長谷川唯を擁する2位マンチェスター・シティ(勝ち点43)が、長野風花を擁する4位リバプール(勝ち点29)を下した。
今週末にリーグ戦のない、同勝ち点の首位チェルシーへ圧力を掛けるためにも、点差を広げての勝利が欲しいシティは、16分の早い時間に試合を動かす。
自陣左深い位置でのビルドアップから長谷川が相手のプレスをかわして縦に付け、カディジャ・ショー、メアリー・ファウラーと流れるようにボールがピッチを対角へ走り、ボックス手前右からジェス・パークがシュート。GKが弾いたこぼれ球を拾ったローレン・ヘンプがカバーリングに入った相手を余裕しゃくしゃくにかわして流し込んだ。
これでリバプールの前プレスが気落ちし、完全なシティペースになると、22分に好調・パークが2試合連続ゴールを決め、その2分後にはショーが強烈ミドルで得点ランキングトップを独走する今季18得点をマークする。
折り返しての50分にもCKから再びショーにゴールが生まれたシティだが、大量点差の慢心からかテイラー・ハインズにインターセプトからの強烈中距離砲を被弾。クロスバーの跳ね返りがGKキアラ・キーティングの背中に当たって入ったことで、記録上はオウンゴールとなったが、いずれにせよ、失点を喫した。
長谷川と長野はともにフル出場。4-1の敵地勝利はシティにとって快勝で、得失点差でも「+1」チェルシーを上回ったが、終盤の1点がどう影響するかは、5月18日の最終節までわからない。
監督交代で揺れる8位レスター・シティ(勝ち点16)はアウェイで7位アストン・ビラ(勝ち点19)と対戦し、レスターの宝田沙織と籾木結花はともに先発出場。26分に先制を許したレスターだが、その2分後に同点ゴールを奪取。連動した守備で高い位置でボールを切ると、右ポケットで受けたなでしこの元10番はカットインしつつマーカーをずらし、相手の股が開いたところ見計らってニア隅へ"ゴールへのパス"を流し込んだ。
籾木は56分にも得意の左足FKからサム・ティアニーの逆転ヘディング弾をお膳立て。圧巻の攻撃クオリティを披露した。ただ、チームは75分に追い付かれ、2-2のドローに終わっている。
清水梨紗、林穂之香、植木理子のなでしこ勢3選手がフル出場した11位ウェストハム(勝ち点12)は、ホームで9位ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン(勝ち点17)とゴールレスドロー。26分には即時奪還から植木が惜しいヘディングを放つも、わずかに枠の左へ外れ、折り返しての後半早々にも林の左足ミドルが左隅の絶妙なコースへ飛んだが、相手GKの好守に阻まれ、ゴールとはならず。終盤の窮地はポストに助けられ、残留へ向けて勝ち点「1」の積み上げとなった。
また、2022年夏にチームへ加入した清水は、この試合でウェストハムでの通算50試合出場を達成。クラブからも祝福を受けている。
