欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は13日、2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選の組み合わせ抽選会を実施した。
アメリカ、カナダ、メキシコの3カ国が共催する次のW杯。これまでの32カ国から、48カ国に出場国が増加し、規模が大きくなった初の大会となる。

データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。
「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。
トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。
1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。
アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
2位には、バルセロナのエースでありスペイン女子代表のエースでもあるMFアレクシア・プテジャス。フォロワーは280万人であり、1位のレーマンがどれほどのフォロワーを抱えているかがわかる。
2シーズン連続でUEFA年間最優秀女子選手、バロンドールを受賞。2021年にはFIFA最優秀女子選手賞を受賞している。
2022年にはスペイン女子初となる代表100キャップに到達。その後、前十字じん帯を損傷し女子ユーロは欠場していた。
3位は、サンディエゴ・ウェーブスに所属するアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン。フォロワーは1000万人だが、増加率やエンゲージメント率が低く、価値は3位となった。
言わずと知れたアメリカのエースで、過去2度のW杯優勝を経験。2012年のロンドン・オリンピックでは金メダルを獲得している。アメリカ女子代表として200キャップ以上を記録し、120ゴール以上を決めている。
4位はOHレインに所属するカナダ女子代表のFWジョーディン・ホイテマ。160万人以上のフォロワー数を持っている。

5位は6度目のW杯に臨むオーランド・プライドのブラジル女子代表FWマルタ。37歳にして6大会連続のゴールを目指すほか、すでに男女最多となるW杯で17ゴールを記録。これまでFIFA最優秀選手賞を6度受賞した名手だ。
プレーヤーとしての注目はもちろんのこと、インフルエンサーとしても注目を集める選手が多い女子W杯。残念ながらなでしこジャパンの選手はトップ10に入らなかったが、注目したいところだ。

アストン・ビラのスイス女子代表FWアリーシャ・レーマンのオフショットが視線を集めている。
レーマンはヤングボーイズの女子チームでトップチームキャリアをスタートさせ、2017年10月22日に長野Uスタジアムで行われたなでしこジャパン戦にて、当時18歳で代表デビューを果たした。
その後はイングランドのFA 女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)、ウェストハムに加入し、エバートンへの期限付き移籍を経て現在はアストン・ビラに所属している。
インスタグラムのフォロワーは1000万人を超え、自身のオフィシャルカレンダーも販売しているレーマン。現在はFAWSLの冬季中断を利用し、フロリダ州のマイアミビーチでオフを過ごしているようだ。

元スイス代表DFシュテファン・リヒトシュタイナー(36)が12日、自身の公式SNSを通じて現役引退を発表した。
グラスホッパー、リール、ラツィオを経て2011年にユベントスに加入したリヒトシュタイナー。右ウイングバックや右サイドバックとして長らく不動の地位を築き、在籍7シーズンで公式戦通算259試に出場し、7度のセリエA優勝など数々のタイトルに貢献した。
しかし、晩年は思うように出場機会を得ることができず、2018年の夏にユベントスを退団しアーセナルへ加入。その翌年にはアウグスブルクへと完全移籍した。そのアウグスブルクではブンデスリーガ20試合に出場し1アシストを記録。クラブの1部残留に貢献したが、2019-20シーズン限りで契約満了を迎えていた。
また、2006年にデビューしたスイス代表では、歴代5位となる通算108試合に出場し8ゴール7アシストをマーク。3度のワールドカップ(2010,2014,2018)、2度ユーロ(2008,2016)に出場した。
リヒトシュタイナーは12日に自身のツイッター(@LichtsteinerSte)にメッセージ動画を投稿。その中で｢僕は自分の将来について多くのことを考えており、サッカー選手としてのキャリアに終止符を打つことを決めた｣と、現役引退を決断したことを明かした。
