この時期になると毎年登場するアグリー・クリスマス・セーター。プレゼントやツリーの柄を過剰なまでに編み込んだ悪趣味さを逆に楽しもうとするもので、デザインの“ダサさ”が売りだ。
各クラブもエンブレムなどを施したダサセーターをこぞって販売している中、ベルギー代表も同アイテムを制作。選手たちがモデルとなって着用した。
撮影には、ケビン・デ・ブライネ、アクセル・ヴィツェルのほか、トルガンとエデンのアザール兄弟らも参加。下半身はベルギー代表のショーツにソックスというクールな装いながら、上半身にはこれでもかというほどダサいセーターをまとっている。
さらに、選手たちは2人組でポーズを取っているのだが、もう1人を膝の上に乗せて抱っこしたり、プレゼントを可愛らしく渡したりと面白おかしくポージング。キュート?な写真の数々には、「最高のクリスマスカードだ」、「ルカクがいないぞ」、「とっても可愛い」、「ツッコミどころが多い」、「突き抜けてる(笑)」と多くの反響が集まった。

アーセナルのミケル・アルテタ監督が、新加入のベルギー代表FWレアンドロ・トロサール(28)について言及した。クラブ公式サイトが伝えた。
20日、アーセナルはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンからトロサールを完全移籍で獲得。長期契約を締結した。
28歳という年齢は最近の補強プランでは珍しい中、ブラジル代表FWガブリエウ・ジェズス、FWリース・ネルソンと前線の選手が負傷。選手が足りない状況となっている。
今冬の補強ポイントとなったウインガーでは、シャフタール・ドネツクのウクライナ代表FWミハイロ・ムドリク(22)やバルセロナのブラジル代表FWハフィーニャ(25)が候補に上がっていたが獲得に失敗。ただ、プレミアリーグでの実績があるトロサールを確保することができた。
22日にはマンチェスター・ユナイテッドとの大一番を迎えるアーセナル。アルテタ監督は試合に向けた記者会見で、加入したばかりのトロサールについてコメントした。
「彼がいることは本当に幸せだ。以前から注目している選手だった。様々なポジションでプレーできる多才な選手を前線に置く必要があったが、そのチャンスが訪れた」
「彼はリーグのことを知っており、十分な経験を積んでいる。すぐにチームに影響を与えることができるだろう」
「とても重要だ。短期的にではなく、中長期のことも考えなければいけない。彼はその全てを我々に与えてくれる」

すでにチームに合流し「今日トレーニングを行った」と語ったアルテタ監督。ユナイテッド戦の出場については「上手くいけば」と語り、書類の手続き等は完了しており「彼は大丈夫だ」と、出場資格はあるとした。
2003-04シーズン以来のプレミアリーグ制覇に邁進するアーセナルだが、トロサールの加入はチームを加速させるとし、素晴らしい補強だと改めて語った。
「ウィンドウの中でできることをした。夏には我々はこのポジションの選手を探していたが、実行できなかった。チームが必要としていたものでもあった」
「ガビ(ガブリエウ・ジェズス)とリース(・ネルソン)の負傷があり、我々の前線の選手は本当に不足している。補強が必要だったが、今はレオがいる。彼は我々が望むすべてに適合する選手だ」

マンチェスター・シティのベルギー代表MFケビン・デ・ブライネが子供の誕生日を祝福した。
シティが誇る世界屈指のプレーメーカーは、ミシェル・ラクロワさんと2017年6月に結婚。前年末のエッフェル塔前でのプロポーズは話題にもなった。
長男のメイソン・ミリアンくんは2016年3月10日に誕生。現在まで3人の子供を授かっている。
デ・ブライネは11日に自身のインスタグラムを投稿し、「うちの長男はもう7歳」と、成長した子供を肩車する写真を公開した。
ファンからも多数の祝福が寄せられるとともに、「いい家族写真」、「ブロンドなんだね」との声や、「ふくらはぎがすごい」、「彼もいいパスを供給するのかな」と、将来に期待するコメントも届いた。

ベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワが、チームの不仲説を否定している。
FIFAランキング2位で優勝候補と目されていたベルギーは、初戦のカナダ戦は勝利したものの、続くモロッコ戦は2失点の完封負けを喫し、残り1試合で3位に位置。勝利必須の最終節の相手は前回大会のファイナリストであるクロアチアという厳しい状況に立たされている。
それに呼応するようにベルギー代表は現在、空中分解寸前と言われている。ベルギー『RTL』によれb、あモロッコ戦の後、ケビン・デ・ブライネとヤン・フェルトンゲン、エデン・アザールが口論となり、ロメル・ルカクが割って入るという事件が勃発。
ただ、そのルカクもミッチー・バチュアイと仲が悪く、デ・ブライネはティボー・クルトワと数年ものあいだ口をきいていない状態。エデン・アザールとレアンドロ・トロサールも互いを避ける関係なのだという。
そんな中、12月1日に控えるクロアチア戦に向けた会見に出席したクルトワが不仲説を否定。チーム内で言い争いがあることは普通のことだと主張し、噂は誰かのでっち上げたことだと断言した。
「言い合いをして、雨降って地固まることもある。協力して問題を解決して行くには、机上で言い合ったり、個人やグループで意見を出し合う事は大切だ。問題は、報道されたことが事実とは限らないということだ」
「誰かがリークした? そんなこと知る必要はない。仮にその犯人がいたとしたら、そいつにとって代表での最後の日になる」
「チームには何の問題もない。外部の者が問題を起こそうとしたに過ぎない。もちろん、敗戦の後で誰もハッピーではないけど、木曜日のピッチでは全てを出し切れなければならないことがわかっているから、より一層、僕らは親密になることができるはずだ」

現役引退を発表した元ベルギー代表MFエデン・アザールが、アメリカ『TNTスポーツ』のインタビューで引退を後悔していないことを主張している。
アザールは下部組織から所属していたリールで注目を集めると、2012年7月に移籍したチェルシーで世界トップクラスの選手に成長。公式戦通算352試合出場110ゴールを記録し、プレミアリーグやヨーロッパリーグ(EL)、FAカップ、EFLカップでの優勝に尽力した。
その後、2019年7月にレアル・マドリーへ移籍。スター選手の到来には大きな期待が寄せられていたが、度重なるケガもあり本来のパフォーマンスはまったく披露できずに昨シーズン限りでクラブを退団すると、10月10日に現役引退を発表した。
30日にパリで行われた2023年のバロンドール授賞式にプレゼンターとして参加したアザールは、『TNTスポーツ』のインタビューで引退を全く後悔していないことを主張。新たな生活に満足していることを話した。
｢最高だよ。子どもたちがいるし、家族との時間を楽しんでいる。やりたいことができるし、申し分のない生活だよ。全てを説明することはできないけど、僕は平穏な日々を過ごしているし、決断はとても正しかったと思う。いまは幸せに暮らしている。サッカー以外にもやりたいことがたくさんあるから、冷静に決断できたんだ｣
