コベントリー・シティのスウェーデン代表FWヴィクトル・ギョケレシュ(24)にプレミアリーグの複数クラブが関心を寄せているようだ。
ギョケレシュは最新のスウェーデン代表メンバーにも名を連ねる身長187cmのストライカー。国際Aマッチ通算12試合2得点を記録している。
クラブキャリアでは19歳でブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンに加入するも、レンタル移籍を繰り返し、結局8試合に出場したのみ。プレミアリーグのピッチには一度も立てなかった。
それでも、2021年夏にチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のコベントリーへと完全移籍し、昨季はリーグ戦45試合で17得点を記録。今季は38試合で得点ランキング2位の18得点と昨季を上回るペースでゴールを積み重ねている。
イギリス『90min』によると、ブレントフォードやレスター・シティ、エバートン、リーズ・ユナイテッド、クリスタル・パレスが今夏の獲得を検討。対するコベントリーは少なくとも2000万ポンド(約31億9000万円)を要求する方針とのことだ。
プレミアリーグの中堅勢力が熱い眼差しを向けるギョケレシュだが、実は今冬の移籍もあり得たといい、この時は前述のクラブに加え、ウォルバーハンプトンもコベントリーに照会を依頼していたとされる。

電撃引退を発表した元スウェーデン代表FWズラタン・イブラヒモビッチが改めてその想いを綴った。
イブラヒモビッチは母国スウェーデンのマルメで1999年1月にプロキャリアをスタート。2001年7月にアヤックスへと完全移籍する。
そのアヤックスでは得点力を発揮し、エースとして輝くと、2004年8月にユベントスへと完全移籍。その後、インテル、バルセロナ、ミラン、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、ロサンゼルス・ギャラクシーと各国のビッグクラブを渡り歩き、2020年1月にミランへと再び加入した。
復帰したイブラヒモビッチは、当時低迷していたミランを復活させることに貢献。最初の半年ではセリエA18試合で10ゴールと結果を残すと、2年目は19試合で15ゴールを記録。3年目は23試合で8ゴールに終わったが、チームはスクデットを獲得した。
しかし、年齢も相まってケガが増えることに。今シーズンは昨シーズン終了後に受けたヒザの手術の影響で2月まで復帰できず。セリエA4試合で1ゴールに終わっていた。
セリエAで2度、リーグ・アンで3度の得点王を獲得。さらに、アヤックス、インテル、ミラン、バルセロナ、PSGではリーグ優勝を経験。ユベントス時代も2度優勝していたが、カルチョスキャンダルにより剥奪されていた。キャリアを通じては、クラブレベルで822試合に出場し496ゴールを記録した。
スウェーデン代表としても122試合に出場し62ゴールを記録。ワールドカップは2002年の日韓大会、2006年のドイツ大会に出場。2018年のロシア大会はメンバー入りしなかった。
ミランの今シーズン最終戦で突如引退を発表したイブラヒモビッチ。惜しまれながらスパイクを脱いだ中、自身のインスタグラムを更新。改めてキャリアを振り返り、公私共に親密にしていた元代理人のミーノ・ライオラ氏(享年54歳)へのメッセージを送った。

スウェーデンを代表する2人が並んでいる。
セリエA最終節で電撃引退を発表した元スウェーデン代表FWズラタン・イブラヒモビッチ。スウェーデン代表として122試合で62ゴールを記録し、同国の最多得点記録保持者でもある。
そのイブラヒモビッチが訪れたのは、UFC世界ウェルター級ランキング4位のハムザット・チムエフのもとだった。
チムエフはロシアのチェチェン共和国出身だが、10代の頃にスウェーデンに移住すると、レスリングで圧倒的な強さを発揮。その後プロ総合格闘技デビューを果たし、体重超過など問題も起こすが、UFCの新星として期待されている。
イブラヒモビッチはチムエフがトレーニングをしているストックホルムのジムを訪問。チムエフにとってもイブラヒモビッチは憧れの存在なのか、サイン入りのユニフォームをプレゼントしていた。
2人のスターが並ぶ2ショットには、ファンも「ズラタンのMMAが見られる?」、「ライオンと狼だ」、「2人のレジェンド」、「スウェーデンで最強の男たち」と反響を寄せていた。
今シーズンもヒザのケガの影響でほとんどプレー出来なかったイブラヒモビッチがUFCに挑戦するのは難しそうだが、幼少期に習ったテコンドーで培ったアクロバティックな技術は格闘技でも武器になりそうだ。

スウェーデンのレジェンドでもあるズラタン・イブラヒモビッチ氏の息子が、初めて世代別のスウェーデン代表に選出された。スウェーデン『Sportbladet』が伝えた。
今回招集を受けたのは息子のヴィンセント・イブラヒモビッチ。U-15スウェーデン代表のブートキャンプに招集され、今回が初招集となった。
15歳になるヴィンセントは、ミランの下部組織に所属しているMF。66名の有望な選手の中に選ばれることとなった。
この世代を指揮するアクセル・シェル監督は、ヴィンセントの能力を称賛している。
「我々は2008年生まれの選手を代表チームの環境でトレーニングし、観戦させることを目的として大規模なキャンプを実施している。ヴィンセント・イブラヒモビッチは、巨大なアカデミーであるミランに所属しており、12月初旬のキャンプ中で会えることを楽しみにしている」
「ビデオで見た試合によれば、彼はパスゲームが上手く、ピッチ上での方向付けに優れており、フィニッシャーとしての一面もあるセントラルMFだ」
「ヴィンセント・イブラヒモビッチの選出に関して、騒動が起こることも理解している」
「彼の父親は史上最高のスウェーデン人選手の1人であり、ヴィンセント・イブラヒモビッチがここに関わるのは今回が初めてだ」
一方で、父のズラタンをよく知り、スウェーデン代表を11月まで指揮していたヤンネ・アンデション監督は、過度な期待は良くないとしながらも、エキサイティングな話だとした。
「私は彼に会ったことがあるが、プレーしているところは見たことがない。したがって、私は彼を評価することはできない」
「両者(父と)をあまり大きく比較すべきではなく、あまりフェアとは言えないと思う。ただ、明らかにエキサイティングではある」
父とはポジションが異なるために多くのゴールを生み出すような選手にはならなそうだが、それでも一級品の才能は持ち合わせているはず。数年後の活躍が楽しみでもある。
なお、2つ上の17歳の兄にはマクシミリアン・イブラヒモビッチがおり、こちらもミランU-18に所属。兄弟揃っての将来的なスウェーデン代表入りがあるのか注目だ。

ヴィンセントはミランの育成組織に所属しているMFで、今回は有望な若手66名を集めたボソンでのU-15スウェーデン代表のブートキャンプに招集された。
この世代を指揮するシェル監督は、「映像で見たものと、資質に基づいて彼をここに連れてきた。ピッチ上で自分が何をすべきかを判断する力を持っているし、優れたパサーでもあり、優れたフィニッシャーでもあると思う」と、ヴィンセントの能力を称賛している。
『イブラヒモビッチの息子』という肩書は否が応でも注目を集める。キャル監督はそれを十二分に承知した上で、一プレーヤーとしての話なら歓迎だとのコメントを残している。
「すべての選手には『ここでできるだけいい経験を積んで欲しい』と話している。その後については、ケースバイケースで検討するが、(記者に対して)あなたがここに立っているという事実がおそらく(これまでの世代別代表活動やほかの選手との)大きな違いだろうね」
「(ヴィンセントを選出して起こる反響については)ここでコメントしたり、話すことは何もないね。ただ、このキャンプにおいての、サッカー選手としての観点からなら、ヴィンセントについて話すのは私も好きだよ」
