スウェーデンサッカー協会(SvFF) とアディダスは14日、スウェーデン代表の新ユニフォームを発表した。
ユーロ2024予選ではグループFに入ったものの、ベルギー代表とオーストリア代表に後れを取り、無念の予選敗退となったスウェーデン。2月には元デンマーク代表FWヨン・ダール・トマソン氏を新監督に迎えた。
新生スウェーデンの新ユニフォームは、太陽が完全に沈まない、一年で最も日が長いスウェーデンの夏至の日からインスピレーションを得ており、太陽をイメージしたサークルデザインを採用。よく見ると左胸のエンブレムからいくつもの円が徐々に大きくなるようにデザインされている。
ホームユニフォームは、明るい黄色をベースとしつつ、水色と青の2色をアクセントカラーに使用。これは空と水からインスピレーションを得ているという。
一方のアウェイユニフォームは、青をベースにしながら黄色とピンクをアクセントカラーに使用している。
どちらもデザイン自体は共通で、アウェイユニフォームの方が円が分かりやすいカラーリングに。また、どちらも襟の形がY字になっているのも特徴的だ。
ただ、このデザインはファンに不評。SvFFの公式X(旧ツイッター)には「めちゃくちゃ酷い」、「複雑な気持ちだ」、「一体どうすればこんなにも間違った方向に進むのか」、「今まで観た中で最も酷い」という否定的な意見が多く寄せられている。

スポルティングCPが、新たなストライカーを確保したようだ。ポルトガル『レコルド』が伝えた。
セルクル・ブルージュの日本代表FW上田綺世(24)の獲得にも関心を寄せていたスポルティング。今夏はストライカーの獲得を目指した中、コヴェントリー・シティのスウェーデン代表FWヴィクトル・ギョケレシュ(25)の加入が確実なものとなった。
ギョケレシュは、スウェーデンのブロマポイカルナでキャリアをスタート。2018年1月にブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンへと完全移籍。その後は、ザンクト・パウリやスウォンジー・シティ、コヴェントリーへとレンタル移籍を経験し、2021年7月から完全移籍で加入していた。
コヴェントリーではエースとして活躍し、公式戦116試合で43ゴールを記録。2022-23シーズンはチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)で46試合に出場し21ゴール。プレーオフでも3試合でプレーしていたが、チームは惜しくもプレミアリーグ昇格を逃していた。
ギョケレシュはスポルティング加入に向けてリスボンに既に到着。報道陣に向けて「ここに来られてとても嬉しい」とコメント。「ゴールを決めたい」とスポルティングでの活躍に意気込みを語っていた。
『レコルド』によれば、ギョケレシュは移籍金2000万ユーロ(約30億8000万円)で加入。メディカルチェックを受けて正式契約を結ぶことになるという。

コベントリー・シティのスウェーデン代表FWヴィクトル・ギョケレシュ(24)にプレミアリーグの複数クラブが関心を寄せているようだ。
ギョケレシュは最新のスウェーデン代表メンバーにも名を連ねる身長187cmのストライカー。国際Aマッチ通算12試合2得点を記録している。
クラブキャリアでは19歳でブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンに加入するも、レンタル移籍を繰り返し、結局8試合に出場したのみ。プレミアリーグのピッチには一度も立てなかった。
それでも、2021年夏にチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のコベントリーへと完全移籍し、昨季はリーグ戦45試合で17得点を記録。今季は38試合で得点ランキング2位の18得点と昨季を上回るペースでゴールを積み重ねている。
イギリス『90min』によると、ブレントフォードやレスター・シティ、エバートン、リーズ・ユナイテッド、クリスタル・パレスが今夏の獲得を検討。対するコベントリーは少なくとも2000万ポンド(約31億9000万円)を要求する方針とのことだ。
プレミアリーグの中堅勢力が熱い眼差しを向けるギョケレシュだが、実は今冬の移籍もあり得たといい、この時は前述のクラブに加え、ウォルバーハンプトンもコベントリーに照会を依頼していたとされる。

昨シーズン限りで現役を引退したイブラヒモビッチ氏。数多くのトップクラブを渡り歩き、クラブレベルでは822試合に出場して496ゴールを記録。スウェーデン代表としても122試合で62ゴールを記録し、同国の最多得点記録保持者になっている。引退後は、古巣ミランの経営陣に入ることが常々噂されている状況だ。

▽23日、ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループF第2節のドイツ代表vsスウェーデン代表が行われ、ドイツが2-1で勝利した。初戦を落としており負ければ敗戦濃厚、引き分けても自力突破消滅という崖っぷちの状況で試合に臨んだドイツ。試合開始直後の攻勢が実らずスウェーデンに痛恨の先制点を許すと、後半初めにMFマルコ・ロイスの得点で追いついたものの試合終了間際にDFジェローム・ボアテングが退場してしまう事態に。しかし、アディショナルタイムに入った95分にMFトニ・クロースが決勝点を沈め、劇的な生還を果たした。
