データおよびテクノロジーにおけるリーディングカンパニーの「ニールセン・グレースノート」が、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に出場する選手のインフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表した。
なでしこジャパンも出場する女子W杯。開幕までおよそ1カ月となった中で、各国の出場選手も決定している。
「ニールセン・グレースノート」は出場する選手の中での、インフルエンサーとしてのランキングを発表。フォロワーやフォロワーの増加、エンゲージメント率など、インスタグラム上の投稿ごとの平均ブランド価値を評価してランキングを発表した。
トップ10が発表され、実に9カ国の選手がランクイン。アメリカ女子代表のみが唯一2選手がランクインしている。
1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。
アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
2位には、バルセロナのエースでありスペイン女子代表のエースでもあるMFアレクシア・プテジャス。フォロワーは280万人であり、1位のレーマンがどれほどのフォロワーを抱えているかがわかる。
2シーズン連続でUEFA年間最優秀女子選手、バロンドールを受賞。2021年にはFIFA最優秀女子選手賞を受賞している。
2022年にはスペイン女子初となる代表100キャップに到達。その後、前十字じん帯を損傷し女子ユーロは欠場していた。
3位は、サンディエゴ・ウェーブスに所属するアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン。フォロワーは1000万人だが、増加率やエンゲージメント率が低く、価値は3位となった。
言わずと知れたアメリカのエースで、過去2度のW杯優勝を経験。2012年のロンドン・オリンピックでは金メダルを獲得している。アメリカ女子代表として200キャップ以上を記録し、120ゴール以上を決めている。

プレーヤーとしての注目はもちろんのこと、インフルエンサーとしても注目を集める選手が多い女子W杯。残念ながらなでしこジャパンの選手はトップ10に入らなかったが、注目したいところだ。

IFFHS(国際サッカー歴史統計連盟)が、21世紀で最もプレーした選手のランキングを発表。トップ10には日本人選手もランクインした。
様々な統計を行うIFFHS。2022年までのデータを集計し、21世紀に入ってからのプレーした試合数をもとにランキングを作成した。
対象となるのは、各国のリーグ戦やカップ戦、国際カップ戦、代表チームの試合も含まれ、全ての公式戦が対象になっている。
今回の統計では1000試合以上プレーした選手が3人に増加。首位は昨年と変わらず、サウジアラビアへ活躍の場を移したポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド(アル・ナスル)となり、1145試合を記録した。
2022年に1000試合を突破したのは、ブラジル代表DFダニエウ・アウベス(UNAMプーマス)とアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ(パリ・サンジェルマン)。アウベスは1033試合、メッシは1003試合となった。メッシはカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)での試合で1000試合を超えたことになる。

女子サッカーへの関心を裏付ける数字となっているようだ。
スペイン女子代表の初優勝で幕を閉じたオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)。両開催国ともに入場者数が過去最高を記録するなど、大盛況のうちに終わった。
中継の数字にも関心の高さは見て取れ、オーストラリアでは準決勝のイングランド女子代表戦をピーク時に過去最高となる1115万人が視聴したと伝えられていた。
また、『ロイター』は各国の視聴者数に関するデータをまとめており、イギリスでは『BBC One』のピーク視聴者数が1200万人に。『iTV』でも放送された決勝戦は、合計最高視聴者数が1440万人に達したと、集計会社バーブが報告している。
なお、イングランドが初優勝した母国での女子欧州選手権(ユーロ)2022では1740万人、7月に行われたテニスの男子ウィンブルドン決勝では1130万人だったと比較。関心の高さがうかがえる。
スペインでは560万人が決勝戦を視聴し、最高視聴者数は740万人に。これはスペインにおける女子サッカーの試合のテレビ視聴者数としては史上最高記録とのこと。『バルロベント・コミュニケーション』が発表したデータによると、スペインのテレビ視聴者の56.2%が男性だったという。
中国ではグループステージのイングランド戦を5390万人が視聴。1試合の最高視聴者数を記録した。
世界での総視聴者数は明記されていないものの、FIFA女子サッカー最高責任者のサライ・ブレナン氏によれば、開幕前には前回大会の11億2000万人を上回る20億人以上と見込まれていた。
各国の施策による女子チームへの強化体制が実を結び、ゲームの強度や戦術の向上、さらには有望な若手、スペイン女子代表FWサルマ・パラジュエロやコロンビア女子代表MFリンダ・カイセドらが多数台頭した今大会。W杯後には初のUEFA女子ネーションズリーグがスタートし、来年にはパリ・オリンピック、さらに翌年には女子ユーロが控えており、まだまだ世界の女子サッカー熱は冷めそうにない。

スペイン代表の新ユニフォームのデザインがリークされている。ユニフォーム専門サイト『Footy Headlines』が伝えている。
ユーロ2024予選をグループ首位で突破したスペイン。カタール・ワールドカップ後に就任したルイス・デ・ラ・フエンテ監督のもとで、連覇を果たしたユーロ2012以来3大会ぶりの優勝を目指す。
2024年の6月から7月にかけて行われるユーロ2024だが、『Footy Headlines』によると、2024年の3月にかけて大会で着用するユニフォームが発表される予定とのことだ。
そのユニフォームデザインについて、ホームはスペイン代表のカラーでもあるレッドがベースとなり、ラインは明るめのイエロー。アディダスのロゴもイエローになるようだ。
一見すると無地にも見えるが、シャツ全体にうっすらと波と砂の模様が入っている。
一方のアウェイユニフォームは、蛍光イエローがベースで、ロゴは赤、ラインはライトブルーという派手なカラーの組み合わせになるようだ。
『Footy Headlines』によると、蛍光イエローはスペインの砂丘からインスピレーションを得たものだといい、正式なカラー名は「パルス イエロー」と呼ぶという。
ベース部分は無地だが、脇に入るライトブルーのラインには、砂丘をイメージした柄が描かれるようだ。
スペイン代表の新ユニフォームに、ファンは「アイデアがないなら白の無地にすればいい」、「これが本当なら(アウェイの)水色、白、赤の脇の下はめちゃくちゃだ」、「誰かこの混乱について説明してくれないか?」、「確かにスペイン国旗には黄色が使われているけど、実際の色に近いとは言えない」とコメントしており、アウェイユニフォームのカラーはあまり受け入れられていないようだ。

世界中でも話題となり、本田圭佑からもツッコミを受けた日本代表のサポーターが意外な人物と繋がっていたようだ。
1日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループスE最終戦で日本はスペイン代表と対戦。劇的な逆転勝利を収め、グループ首位でベスト16入りを決めていた。
ドイツ代表戦に続いてのアップセットは世界中を驚かせた他、逆転ゴールに繋がった三笘薫の折り返しのシーンがラインを割っていたかどうかが大きな議論を呼ぶことに。国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)が公式見解を示すほどにまで発展していた。
今大会では日本人サポーターが世界中でバズることが多く、ドイツ戦前にFIFAの公式映像に映ったことで、世界中で美女サポーターだと大騒ぎになったSHONOさん、ドイツ戦で「私のボスへ。2週間の休暇を取らせてくれてありがとうございます!」と紙に書いた上、上司から返事をもらった男性サポーターなどがいた。
そんな中、スペイン戦でも1人のサポーターが注目の的に。田中碧の決勝ゴールが決まった後、すでに涙した姿が映し出された男性サポーターが大きな話題に。「ABEMA」で解説していた本田には、「まだ泣くの早いって」とツッコまれてしまったサポーターだが、実は元Jリーガーの親友だったという。
その選手とは、サガン鳥栖やベガルタ仙台、ガイナーレ鳥取、横浜FC、奈良クラブ、栃木シティFCでプレーし、今シーズンは松本山雅FCでGKコーチを務めていたシュナイダー潤之介氏だ。
シュナイダー潤之介氏は、自身のツイッターを更新。「親友が世界的にバズってて最高」とし、その男性サポーターがカメラに抜かれた写真を投稿していた。
ゴミ拾いも含め、何かと注目を集める日本代表関係者。意外な繋がりは他にもまだまだあるのかもしれない。
