イルハン・マンスズの名を覚えているだろうか。
今から20年前の2002年に日韓ワールドカップが開催。国中がサッカーに沸いた中、その中でもひと際注目を集めたのが、当時イングランド代表だったデイビッド・ベッカム氏だ。日本では“ベッカム・フィーバー”が巻き起こり、その髪型を模したモヒカンヘアーも流行った。
そして、もう1人“イケメン”として脚光を浴びたのがトルコ代表だったイルハンだ。
「イルハン王子」の愛称で女性を中心にファンを獲得し、テレビや雑誌でも特集がなされた。長髪をなびかせながら頭の上で髪の毛をとめるちょんまげスタイルにクシャっとした笑顔は多くの人のハートを撃ち抜いた。
ピッチの上でも、控えという立場ながら全7試合に出場すると、チーム最多の3得点をマーク。トルコの史上初の3位という結果に大きく貢献している。
そのイルハンは大会後の2004年にヴィッセル神戸へと加入。Jリーグでは負傷の影響もありほとんど出場機会もないまま、最終的には無断帰国という形での退団となったが、その意味でも記憶に残っている人はいるのではないだろうか。
現役引退後にはフィギュアスケーターへの転身も明らかになったイルハン。46歳になったイルハンのSNSを覗くとすっかり“イケオジ”になったようだ。
トルコ代表の公式SNSや現地のメディアなどは22日、「今から20年前、イルハンのゴールで代表が準決勝に進出」と当時を振り返っており、現地では、代表チームを史上初のW杯3位に導いた英雄として認識されているようだ。

ヴィッセル神戸は1日、AFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)で着用するユニフォームのデザイン変更を発表した。
今シーズンは明治安田生J1リーグで前半戦を終えて最下位と低迷している神戸。一方で、ACLではグループステージを突破し、ラウンド16に駒を進めた。
ノックアウトステージは先日、日本で集中開催されることが発表。8月に埼玉で行われ、神戸は横浜F・マリノスと対戦することが決まっている。
その神戸だが、今回デザイン変更を発表。理由としてはアジアサッカー連盟(AFC)からレギュレーションに抵触すると指摘されたためという。
「グループステージ開催中にAFC(アジアサッカー連盟)よりユニフォームデザインの一部がACLのレギュレーションに反すると指摘が入り、その後に複数回の双方確認を経て、この度ノックアウトステージで着用するユニフォームのデザインを変更することが確定となりました」
グループステージで着用していたユニフォームは、Jリーグで着用しているものと同じ胸の部分が菱形にデザインされ、神戸の街並みが描かれていたが、変更後のデザインは前面のデザインが全て消された無地となっている。
なお、ACLのユニフォームを購入している方は「ACLノックアウトステージTシャツ 12 VISSEL KOBE」を贈呈するとのこと。また、今回の変更されたユニフォームの販売は予定されていない。

Jリーグで活躍するブラジル人選手たちが、来日しているブラジル代表と再会を果たした。
6日にキリンチャレンジカップ2022で日本代表と対戦するブラジル。3日に来日し練習を続けているが、滞在中のホテルに日本で活躍している選手たちが訪れたようだ。
柏レイソルのFWマテウス・サヴィオやヴィッセル神戸のFWリンコン、横浜FCのFWフェリペ・ヴィゼウ、清水エスパルスのMFホナウドはそれぞれのインスタグラムを更新。ブラジルのFWネイマール、FWヴィニシウス・ジュニオール、MFルーカス・パケタとの集合写真を投稿している。
このメンバーのうち、ネイマール以外の選手たちはフラメンゴ出身。その時の縁が今も彼らを結び付けているようだ。フェリペ・ヴィゼウも「なんて顔ぶれだ。また会えて嬉しいよ兄弟たち。神のご加護を」と再会を喜んでいる。
ヴィニシウスやパケタも自身のインスタグラムのストーリーズでその様子をアップしており、Jリーグのファンからも馴染みの選手と現役セレソンの繋がりに驚く声が多く上がっている。

ヴィッセル神戸の元スペイン代表MFアンドレス・イニエスタが長男の誕生日を祝った。
2018年夏にバルセロナから加入した神戸を今夏限りで退団することが決まったイニエスタ。5月25日に行われた記者会見には、イニエスタが感謝を伝えた家族の姿もあった。
そして5月31日、長男のパオロ・アンドレアくんが8歳の誕生日を迎えると、家族総出でお祝い。妻のアンナさんをはじめ、長女のバレリアさん、次女シエナちゃん、次男ロメオくん、そして今年生まれたばかりのオリンピアちゃんも勢揃いした。
イニエスタは豪華な誕生日ケーキを前に笑顔のパオロ・アンドレアくんとキスする自身の2ショットを披露。ケーキはイニエスタの背番号でもある「8」とかたどられており、たくさんのサッカーボールを模したお菓子が並んでいる。
また、家族全員での集合写真も公開。パオロ・アンドレアくんは父が主宰するイニエスタ・アカデミーのユニフォームを、次男ロメオくんはマンチェスター・シティのユニフォーム姿だ。
イニエスタは「チャンピオン8歳の誕生日おめでとう!これからもどんな瞬間も楽しんで成長し続けてね!最高の長男!愛してるよ!みんなも愛してる」とスペイン語と日本語で祝福。ファンからも「日本に住んで5年だからスペインより日本生活が長いね」、「将来のクラックは彼のお父さんにそっくり」、「歴史上最高のミッドフィルダーの息子にお誕生日おめでとう」、「おめでとうございます」と多くの祝福と反響が寄せられていた。
