イルハン・マンスズの名を覚えているだろうか。
今から20年前の2002年に日韓ワールドカップが開催。国中がサッカーに沸いた中、その中でもひと際注目を集めたのが、当時イングランド代表だったデイビッド・ベッカム氏だ。日本では“ベッカム・フィーバー”が巻き起こり、その髪型を模したモヒカンヘアーも流行った。
そして、もう1人“イケメン”として脚光を浴びたのがトルコ代表だったイルハンだ。
「イルハン王子」の愛称で女性を中心にファンを獲得し、テレビや雑誌でも特集がなされた。長髪をなびかせながら頭の上で髪の毛をとめるちょんまげスタイルにクシャっとした笑顔は多くの人のハートを撃ち抜いた。
ピッチの上でも、控えという立場ながら全7試合に出場すると、チーム最多の3得点をマーク。トルコの史上初の3位という結果に大きく貢献している。
そのイルハンは大会後の2004年にヴィッセル神戸へと加入。Jリーグでは負傷の影響もありほとんど出場機会もないまま、最終的には無断帰国という形での退団となったが、その意味でも記憶に残っている人はいるのではないだろうか。
現役引退後にはフィギュアスケーターへの転身も明らかになったイルハン。46歳になったイルハンのSNSを覗くとすっかり“イケオジ”になったようだ。
トルコ代表の公式SNSや現地のメディアなどは22日、「今から20年前、イルハンのゴールで代表が準決勝に進出」と当時を振り返っており、現地では、代表チームを史上初のW杯3位に導いた英雄として認識されているようだ。

6日、来日しているインテル・マイアミの来日記念パーティーが開催。集まった豪華メンバーに注目が集まっている。
元イングランド代表MFのデイビッド・ベッカム氏が共同オーナーを務めるメジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のインテル・マイアミ。アルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシをはじめ、ウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレス、元スペイン代表MFセルヒオ・ブスケッツ、DFジョルディ・アルバと元バルセロナの選手が多く所属している。
そのインテル・マイアミは、2024シーズンの開幕を前にプレシーズンツアーを実施。アル・ヒラル、アル・ナスルのサウジアラビア勢と戦った後、4日に香港選抜チームと対戦。7日には「Inter Miami in Tokyo 2024」にて国立競技場でヴィッセル神戸と対戦することとなっている。
6日の昼には、神戸戦に向けた記者会見も実施されていたなか、夜には来日記念パーティーが開催。「Inter Miami in Tokyo 2024」の公式X(旧ツイッター)がその様子を伝えている。
最高額は1人300万円というスペシャル・エクスペリエンス・シートのチケットを持っている一般の参加者もいる中、パーティーには、インテル・マイアミの選手だけでなく、メッシらとバルセロナでも一緒にプレーし、神戸でもプレーしていた元スペイン代表MFアンドレス・イニエスタ(現エミレーツ・クラブ)や神戸の三木谷浩史代表取締役会長の姿もあった。
豪華メンバーの集まりには、ファンも「ほぼバルサの同窓会じゃん」、「これは夢ですか?」、「当時のスタメン5人が式典に居るって凄いです」、「メンツえぐすぎる」とコメント。3冠達成を果たした2014-2015シーズンなどバルセロナの黄金期の主力を担った選手たちの再会に喜びの声を寄せている。

衝撃的なPK戦となった2年前のFUJI XEROX SUPER CUP 2020を、『ESPN』が再び取り上げている。
2020年2月8日、埼玉スタジアム2002で行われたFUJI XEROX SUPER CUP 2020。15年ぶりにリーグ制覇を成し遂げた横浜F・マリノスと初めて天皇杯を制したヴィッセル神戸の一戦は、打ち合いの末に3-3で90分を終えてPK戦に突入した。
両チーム2人目までが成功したが、以降は予想だにしていなかった展開に。先行横浜FMの3人目、FWエジガル・ジュニオが止められたのをきっかけに、引きずられるように互いが失敗の連続。横浜FMの7人目、FW遠藤渓太まで9人連続で失敗するという、異色のPK戦となった。
神戸の7人目、MF山口蛍がようやく決めて試合終了。PKスコア2-3で神戸が初の大会制覇を成し遂げた。
2020年12月には、同一企業による協賛では世界で最長のサッカースーパーカップとしてギネス世界記録にも認定された同大会。2022年大会はパートナー契約会社の社名変更に伴い、「FUJIFILM SUPER CUP」と新たな名を冠して開催される。
2022年大会は2月中旬に開催予定。19日に行われる天皇杯決勝、浦和レッズvs大分トリニータの勝者がJ1王者である川崎フロンターレの相手として参戦する。

ヴィッセル神戸は1日、AFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)で着用するユニフォームのデザイン変更を発表した。
今シーズンは明治安田生J1リーグで前半戦を終えて最下位と低迷している神戸。一方で、ACLではグループステージを突破し、ラウンド16に駒を進めた。
ノックアウトステージは先日、日本で集中開催されることが発表。8月に埼玉で行われ、神戸は横浜F・マリノスと対戦することが決まっている。
その神戸だが、今回デザイン変更を発表。理由としてはアジアサッカー連盟(AFC)からレギュレーションに抵触すると指摘されたためという。
「グループステージ開催中にAFC(アジアサッカー連盟)よりユニフォームデザインの一部がACLのレギュレーションに反すると指摘が入り、その後に複数回の双方確認を経て、この度ノックアウトステージで着用するユニフォームのデザインを変更することが確定となりました」
グループステージで着用していたユニフォームは、Jリーグで着用しているものと同じ胸の部分が菱形にデザインされ、神戸の街並みが描かれていたが、変更後のデザインは前面のデザインが全て消された無地となっている。
なお、ACLのユニフォームを購入している方は「ACLノックアウトステージTシャツ 12 VISSEL KOBE」を贈呈するとのこと。また、今回の変更されたユニフォームの販売は予定されていない。
