名古屋グランパスは8日、2024シーズンのキャプテンと副キャプテンを発表した。
2023シーズンは長谷川健太監督の下、上位を争い優勝も見えていた。しかし、夏にFWマテウス・カストロがサウジアラビアへと移籍すると、後半戦は大失速。17試合でわずか4勝と上位とは思えない成績となり、6位でシーズンを終えていた。
2024シーズンに向けては、中谷進之介(→ガンバ大阪)、藤井陽也(→コルトレイク)、丸山祐市(→川崎フロンターレ)、森下龍矢(→レギア・ワルシャワ)とディフェンスラインが一気に入れ替わることとなり、転換期を迎えるシーズンとなる。
そんなシーズンでキャプテンを務めるのはGKランゲラック。また、副キャプテンにはMF和泉竜司、MF森島司、DF井上詩音が務めることとなった。

AZの日本代表DF毎熊晟矢が新天地初ゴールをマークした。
この夏にセレッソ大阪から完全移籍加入の毎熊。サウサンプトン移籍の日本代表DF菅原由勢に代わるサイドバックとして期待されるなか、6日に行われたノアシェランとのプレシーズンマッチで実戦デビューした。
そして、20日に行われたプレシーズンマッチのKVコルトレイク戦では34分から出場。2-0でリードの78分には敵陣左サイドでボールを受けると、相手GKの立ち位置を確認してから右足ミドルをゴール左に突き刺した。
なお、コルトレイクにはMF金子拓郎とDF藤井陽也が所属。このAZ戦では揃って先発していた。

ジュピラー・プロ・リーグのコルトレイクは30日、柏レイソルのMF高嶺朋樹(26)を完全移籍で獲得したことを発表した。
契約期間が2027年6月までの3年間となる。
高嶺は北海道出身で北海道コンサドーレ札幌の下部組織から筑波大学へと進学。2020年に札幌に加入した。
3シーズンを札幌でプレーし、プロ1年目から出番を得ると公式戦114試合に出場し3ゴール3アシストを記録。2023年から柏に完全移籍すると、柏でも中盤を支え、公式戦54試合で3ゴール2アシストを記録していた。
J1通算136試合4ゴール、リーグカップ通算24試合1ゴール、天皇杯通算13試合1ゴールを記録。今シーズンは明治安田J1リーグで11試合1ゴールを記録していた。
高嶺は柏を通じてコメントしている。
「このたび、ベルギー1部のKVコルトレイクに移籍することになりました。柏レイソルでプレーした1年半は僕にとって、かけがえのない財産になりました。日立台でサポーターの応援を背に、柏レイソルのために戦えたことを本当に誇りに思います。シーズン途中の離脱となりましたが、柏レイソルのことを心から応援しています。今まで応援していただきありがとうございました」
なお、コルトレイクには日本代表DF藤井陽也が所属しており、今夏はディナモ・ザグレブで昨季プレーしたMF金子拓郎が加入。金子とは札幌時代以来のチームメイトとなる。

KVコルトレイクMF金子拓郎がベルギー挑戦後初ゴールをマークした。
ジュピラー・プロ・リーグ開幕から1勝1敗のコルトレイク。9日の第3節ではFCVデンデルEHのホームに乗り込み、金子とともに、DF藤井陽也、MF高嶺朋樹の日本人3選手が揃って先発した。
連勝を目指す今節のコルトレイクだが、23分、36分の連続失点で苦しい展開に。そのなかで、39分に左CKのチャンスを掴むと、ボックス中央の混戦から金子がクロスに頭で合わせ、1点を返す。
金子の加入後初ゴールでさらに同点までいきたいところだったが、デンデルに後半の主導権を握られ、68分に3失点目。78分にはマルク・マンパシが2枚目のイエローカードで退場となり、10人での戦いとなる。
結局、88分にも失点を重ねたコルトレイクは昇格組ながら2戦負けなしスタートのデンデルに完敗し、1-4の黒星。金子は59分にピッチを後にしている。

日本代表DF菅原由勢が同期の変化に驚きを隠せずにいる。
キリンチャレンジカップ2023のメンバーに招集された菅原。2022年にも招集されていたがその時は負傷のため辞退しており、2020年10月以来の参加となる。
オランダのAZでプレーしている菅原は21日に代表へと合流。23日に更新された日本サッカー協会(JFA)の『Team Cam』ではその様子が公開されており、そこで再会した同期のDF藤井陽也の変貌に衝撃を受けることとなった。
代表でともに戦う選手たちと続々と挨拶する菅原。角田涼太朗(横浜F・マリノス)に代わって追加招集された藤井とも握手をかわすと、藤井は「初めまして」とジョーク。一方の菅原は「誰!?」とリアクション。さらに「誰誰誰誰、髪の毛やば」とその髪型に驚いていた。
2人は名古屋の下部組織時代からプレーする同期。互いを良く知る仲だが、藤井は今年のオフからメッシュを入れたような明るい髪色にしており、久々に再会した菅原はその違いに驚いたようだ。
