ラ・リーガの各クラブがスペイン女子代表FWジェニファー・エルモソ(パチューカ/メキシコ)へ寄り添う姿勢を見せた。
大きな波紋を巻き起こしているスペインサッカー連盟(RFEF)のルイス・ルビアレス会長によるキス問題。20日に行われたオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)決勝戦後、セレモニー中にエルモソとハグをかわしたのち、頭を掴み、唇へとキスをした。これに対し、各所からは非難の声が上がっていた。
一時は謝罪も自身の正当性も主張し、さらには「辞任するつもりはない」と強く宣言したことで問題は再加熱。RFEFが25日にエルモソと所属する労働組合のFUTPROに対し、「会長の名誉を傷つける発端となった」として法的措置を取る声明を発表すれば、対して翌日には国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)がルビアレス会長に暫定的な資格停止処分を下すと発表するなど、事態は依然混沌としている。
この問題に対しては選手個々人が会長へ非難の声をあげていたが、ついにはラ・リーガのクラブも行動を起こした。
セビージャは26日に行われた第3節、ホームでのジローナ戦で、会長を非難する「#SeAcabó(終わってる)」と書かれたTシャツを着て選手が入場した。
また、カディスは同日のホームでのアルメリア戦にて、「TODOS SOMOS JENNI(我々はみなジェニーとともに)」の書かれた横断幕を持って入場。エルモソに寄り添う姿勢を示した。アメリカ『ワシントン・ポスト』は「男女サッカーに団結のメッセージを送るという、クラブとしてすべきことをしただけだ」と、ルイス・エルナンデスの言葉を伝えている。
スペインの女子W杯優勝に水を差した問題。会長の辞任が最もスマートな解決方法に思われるが、決着まではいまだ混迷を極めそうだ。

カディスは7日、スペイン人DFルイス・エルナンデスが右ヒザの関節鏡手術を受けたことを発表した。
クラブの発表によれば、ルイス・エルナンデスは数週間前から痛めていた右ヒザ半月板の損傷を治療するため、6日に関節鏡手術を受けたとのこと。
なお、同選手は7月のプレシーズンキャンプには間に合うとのことで、明日からリハビリ治療を行う予定だという。
レアル・マドリーの下部組織出身であるルイス・エルナンデスは右サイドバックとセンターバックをこなすDF。スポルティング・ヒホンやレスター・シティ、マラガ、マッカビ・デルアビブでのプレーを経て、2022年にカディスに加入。
カディスではセンターバックを主戦場に今季リーグ戦35試合に出場するなど、チームの1部残留に大きく貢献した。

▽ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、グループリーグ敗退で終わったコスタリカ。大会後にはオスカル・ラミレス監督に代わってロナルド・ゴンサレス監督が就任した。初陣の7日の韓国代表戦では0-2で敗れている。
