パリ・オリンピックアジア最終予選の北朝鮮女子代表戦へ向け、なでしこジャパンが始動。13日に国内合宿がスタートし、初日のトレーニングを終えてDF石川璃音(三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)がメディアの取材に応じた。
国内組を中心に、合宿は11名で開始。WEリーグのウインターブレイクや皇后杯などにより、選手によってオフ期間に差異のある状況で迎えた初日だが、20歳のセンターバックは「この最終予選に向けてコンディションを整えてきたので、体は動く状態」と、早くも臨戦態勢だ。
オフ期間には筋力トレーニングをメインに、スプリントの強化にも取り組んだとのこと。フィジカルを売りにする北朝鮮相手にも、怯む様子は微塵もない。
「(相手は)球際が強いとは思いますが、自分もそこは良さだと思っているので、絶対に負けたくない。自分から吹き飛ばしていけるように、頑張りたい」
「どちらかというと、自分はそういう相手の方がやりやすいので、すごく楽しみです。けど、まずは勝つということをメインに考えたい」
また、ビルドアップ力の向上を、個人として目標の1つに挙げている。とらわれ過ぎてうまくいかないこともあったようだが、所属チームでも代表活動でも、アドバイスをもらいながら成長中。
ちょうど合宿初日、池田太監督と宮本ともみコーチが相手2トップを模し、プレス回避をイメージしての最終ラインからボールを運び出すパストレーニングも行われた。立ち位置、パス出しのタイミング、1つ飛ばしの意識などを吸収しつつ、培ったものを試合でも発揮できるようにと石川は意気込みを語った。
「どれだけ自分にFWを引きつけてからパスを出せるかが、あの練習には込められていると思いました。自分はビルドアップの部分が足りないと思っているので、アドバイスを受けながら今日練習に臨みましたが、自分のところへ引きつけたら、周りも楽になると思うので、そういう部分も今回の最終予選で出せたらなと思います」
なでしこジャパンは2大会連続6度目のオリンピック出場を懸け、24日に最終予選の第1戦(開催地未定)を戦い、28日に国立競技場で運命の第2戦を迎える。

FC東京のU-22日本代表MF松木玖生が表彰を喜んだ。
10月31日、アジアサッカー連盟(AFC)のAFCアニュアルアウォーズ2022がカタールのドーハで行われた。
今回の表彰8部門に対し、「AFC年間最優秀男子選手賞」以外の7部門で日本人が最終候補に。松木の他、日本代表の森保一監督、なでしこジャパンの宮本ともみコーチ、日本代表MF三笘薫、なでしこジャパンDF熊谷紗希、FW浜野まいか、フットサル日本代表GK黒本ギレルメが候補となっていた。
松木はAFC年間最優秀ユース選手賞(男子)を見事に受賞。その他、AFC年間最優秀コーチ賞(男子)の森保監督、AFC年間最優秀ユース選手賞(女子)に浜野が選ばれることとなった。
松木はFC東京を通じてコメント。喜びを露わにした。
「4年ぶりの開催で、この様な素晴らしい賞を受賞できたことを大変嬉しく思います。またこの賞をFC東京で受賞できたことを誇りに思います」
「これからはこの賞に恥じぬよう、さらに責任感を持ってプレーしていきます。ファン・サポーターのみなさん、これからも応援よろしくお願いします」

アジアサッカー連盟(AFC)が、2022年の年間表彰のノミネート選手を発表した。
すでに伝えている通り、AFC年間最優秀コーチ賞(男子)には日本代表の森保一監督、AFC年間最優秀コーチ賞(女子)にはなでしこジャパンの宮本ともみコーチが最終3人の候補のノミネートしていた。
AFC年間最優秀男子選手賞には日本人はノミネートされなかったものの、AFC年間最優秀女子選手賞にはなでしこジャパンのキャプテンを務めるDF熊谷紗希(ローマ)がノミネート。また、AFCアジア国際年間最優秀選手賞には日本代表MF三笘薫(ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン)がノミネートした。
その他にも、AFC年間最優秀ユース選手賞(男子)にはU-22日本代表MF松木玖生(FC東京)、AFC年間最優秀ユース選手賞(女子)にはなでしこジャパンFW浜野まいか(チェルシー)がノミネートされた。

アジアサッカー連盟(AFC)の年間男子最優秀監督ノミネート3名には、日本代表の森保一監督が最終候補に残ったほか、年間女子最優秀監督にもなでしこジャパンの宮本ともみコーチがノミネートされている。
4年ぶりの開催となるAFCアウォーズへ向けては、13日に各賞のノミネート選手や監督が発表。女子のAFC Coach of the Yearには宮本コーチのほか、中国女子代表のシュイ・チンシア監督、U-16韓国女子代表のキム・ウンジョンコーチがノミネートされた。
日本における監督はHead coach、ヘッドコーチにあたる英語がAssistant coachであるため、日本語でいう"コーチ"も同賞に該当する。
宮本コーチは現役時代の多くを、プリマハム時代を含めて伊賀FCくノ一(現:伊賀FCくノ一三重)で過ごし、日本女子代表としても中盤の軸に。出産後に現役復帰、女子ワールドカップ(W杯)メンバー入りも果たした女子サッカーの先駆者的存在だ。
指導者としては、池田太監督とともに年代別の日本女子代表を指導。2021年からなでしこジャパンのコーチに就任し、セットプレー時は前面に立って指示を送るなど、戦術家としての手腕を振るった。
池田監督の右腕としてオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯では、スペイン女子代表に快勝を収めるなど、グループステージを3戦全勝。準々決勝でスウェーデン女子代表に敗れはしたものの、育成時代から目をかけてきた長野風花や宮澤ひなたらが躍動し、その戦いは世界で大きな注目を浴びた。

日本サッカー協会(JFA)は2日、なでしこジャパンの宮本ともみコーチが新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)の陽性判定を受けたことを発表した。
JFAによれば、1日に行われたAFC女子アジアカップインド2022で定められている公式検査において陽性判定となったとのこと。これまでは全て陰性だった。なお、無症状で体調不良などはないという。
また、チームの関係者では濃厚接触者に該当する者はなく、全員の陰性が確認されているとのことだ。
なでしこジャパンは大会開幕直前にFW岩渕真奈(アーセナル)が感染し、2試合を欠場する事態となっていた。
なお、3日になでしこジャパンは準決勝で中国女子代表と対戦。大会3連覇に向けて戦う。
