元日本代表のMF福西崇史氏がSNSを更新。元日本代表DF宮本恒靖氏とともに汗を流したことを明かした。
ともに45歳と同世代の2人。2002年の日韓ワールドカップ(W杯)や2006年のドイツW杯では一緒に日本代表のメンバーとしてプレーした。
現在は解説者を務める福西氏だが、18日に自身のSNSを更新。「ツネとフットサル」と一緒にフットサルしたことを報告。さらに「あいかわらずの指示やったわぁ 真面目かって…懐かし」と現役時代を懐かしむように綴った。
また、2人は汗びっしょりの姿だが、福西氏は「雨ちゃうで汗やで」と明かしており、相当ハードに取り組んだようだ。

▽南葛SCは22日、元日本代表MF福西崇史(41)が現役復帰し、入団することを発表した。
▽福西氏は愛媛県新居浜市出身で、新居浜工業高校から1995年にジュビロ磐田へ入団。FW登録だったところ、ハンス・オフト監督にボランチへとコンバート。同時期に所属していた元ブラジル代表MFドゥンガ氏の指導を受けて成長し、対人プレーの強さなどの特徴を発揮。磐田の黄金期を支えた。2007年にFC東京へと移籍すると、2008年には東京ヴェルディへと移籍。同年で現役を引退した。
▽J1通算349試合出場62得点、リーグカップ通算57試合出場4得点、天皇杯通算26試合出場4得点、ACL通算6試合出場1得点を記録。また、Jリーグベストイレブンに1999年、2001年、2002年、2003年の4度選ばれていた。
▽また、日本代表としても活躍し、2002年の日韓大会、2006年のドイツ大会と2度のワールドカップに出場。国際Aマッチ64試合に出場し7得点を記録していた。引退後はサッカー解説者として活躍していた。
▽南葛SCで現役復帰を果たす福西はクラブを通じてコメント。復帰への意気込みを語るとともに、自身の将来像を明かした。
「このたび、現役復帰し、南葛SCの一員としてプレーすることになりました」
「このような形での現役復帰を決断したのにはいくつかの理由があります。まずは、南葛SCに深く関わられている高橋陽一先生から熱烈なオファーをいただいたこと。多くのサッカー選手と同じく、『キャプテン翼』を読んでサッカーにハマった自分としては、“リアル南葛SC”でプレーできるということが、本当にうれしいです。加えて、Jリーグを本気で目指している南葛SCのプロジェクトにも賛同させてもらい、自分の力が少しでも役に立てるならばと感じました」
「また、近い将来、Jリーグの監督として指揮を取ることを目指している自分としては、違うカテゴリーとはいえ、現場の空気を吸い、真剣勝負の場に身を置くことは大きなプラスになると考えています」
「10年ぶりのピッチ復帰ということで、もちろん、当時のようにはプレーできませんが、やるからにはチームの役に立てるよう、しっかりと身体を作って臨むつもりです。南葛SCが関東リーグ昇格という目標を果たせるように全力で取り組みたいと思います」

日本代表DF谷口彰悟が、自身の誕生日を報告した。
今年1月から一筋でプレーしてきた川崎フロンターレを離れ、カタールのアル・ラーヤンでプレーする谷口。初の海外挑戦となったシーズンはチームが苦しむ中でも主軸としてプレーしていた。
カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にも出場した谷口は、3月の活動で招集されず。他のベテラン勢同様にこのまま呼ばれない可能性も浮上していたが、6月の活動で再び招集。エルサルバドル代表戦で日本代表初ゴールを記録すると、ペルー代表戦でもプレー。日本代表の守備を支えている。
その谷口は7月15日が31歳の誕生日。すでにカタールに戻っており、現地からバースデーを報告した。
「誕生日を迎えました。お祝いのメッセージありがとうございます。まだまだ頑張ります」
谷口はバースデーケーキの写真と共に、煌びやかな場所でのオフショットを投稿。バースデーケーキは、韓国の人気グループ「BTS」のジョングクの「Dreamers」のミュージックビデオで使用されたお店とのことだ。
これには古巣の川崎フロンターレや元チームメイトの田中碧(デュッセルドルフ)、森谷賢太郎(サガン鳥栖)、新井章太(ジェフユナイテッド千葉)、などに加え、武藤嘉紀(ヴィッセル神戸)や福西崇史氏などからも祝福のコメントが届いた。
また、ファンからは「かっこ良すぎます」、「顔イケメン過ぎ」、「相変わらず爽やかで素敵」、「イケメン」、「死ぬほどかっこいい」と称賛のコメントが寄せられている。

元日本代表MFの福西崇史氏が早稲田大学大学院に入学したことを報告した。
1995年に新居浜工業高校からジュビロ磐田に入団した福西氏は、FC東京での1年間のプレーを経て、2008年に東京ヴェルディで現役を一度引退。2018年には南葛SCに入団し、現役復帰を果たすと、その後は監督も務めた。
