2021シーズン限りで現役を引退していた元日本代表FW大久保嘉人が、23日に現役ラストマッチを行った横浜FCの元日本代表MF中村俊輔(44)へのメッセージを送った。
大久保は中村より4つ年下だが、1年先に現役を引退。2018年途中から2019年まで在籍したジュビロ磐田では、チームメイトとしてプレーしていた。

元日本代表FWの大久保嘉人氏が、長男である碧人(あいと)さんのスペイン行きを報告している。
現役時代、J1で191ゴールを記録し、通算最多ゴール記録を保持する大久保氏。日本代表としても2度のワールドカップ出場するなど、偉大なキャリアを過ごした。
引退後は、解説だけでなくタレント活動にも精を出しており、テレビ番組でも多くの活躍を見せている。
その大久保氏は、2004年に国見高校時代の同級生である莉瑛さんと結婚。4人の男の子を授かっており、長男は碧人、次男は緑二(りょくじ)、三男は橙利(とうり)、四男は紫由(しゆう)と色にちなんだ名前を付けている。
先日高校を卒業したばかりの長男の碧人さんだが、卒業後は単身で父もプレーしたスペインへと渡るということを明かしていた。
その中、大久保氏は26日にインスタグラムを更新。碧人さんの出発を明かし、空港で家族や友人と見送る様子を投稿し、息子にエールを送った。
「ついにこの日が来ました!!碧人(長男)がスペインにプロサッカー選手を目指し出発しました。息子が夢に向かって突き進んでくれた事が嬉しい。本当に頑張って欲しい!!
これからは自分で切り拓いていかないといけないのでいっぱい大変なことがあると思うけど父として期待してるよ」

大久保氏は、現役時代にスペインのマジョルカでもプレー。碧人さんは父もプレーした地で父親と同じ道を歩むこととなる。

ドラマ撮影の裏には人知れず努力があったようだ。
26日にスタートしたTBS系「日曜劇場」の『オールドルーキー』。俳優の綾野剛演じる元サッカー日本代表の新町亮太郎のセカンドキャリアを描いたヒューマンドラマだが、Jリーグ全面協力ということでも話題を集めた。
そして、第1話には俳優の横浜流星がドイツで活躍する日本人選手の矢崎十志也役として出演していたが、『オールドルーキー』の公式SNSがメイキング映像を公開。サッカー監修を担当した元日本代表FWの大久保嘉人に見守られながら、横浜流星がシュートを練習する動画をアップしている。
極真空手では中学3年生の時に世界大会で優勝するなど、運動神経抜群の俳優として知られる横浜流星だが、自身のインスタグラムで「球技苦手ですが」と語っており、やはり極真空手とは勝手が違うようだ。
それでも、炎天下の中で黙々とボールを蹴る横浜流星に大久保が「大丈夫」と声を掛ける場面もあり、放送ではその成果が見えている。
その練習風景にはファンも反応。「もっと観たい」、「凄い練習したんだろうな」、「本当に凄い」、「努力のひと」と称賛の言葉が。また、「矢崎選手をまた登場させてください!」と再登場を願う声も多くあった。

Jリーグが全面協力していることで話題となっていたTBSドラマ、日曜劇場『オールドルーキー』だが、4日についに最終回を迎える。
主演の綾野剛さんが演じる元サッカー日本代表の新町亮太郎のセカンドキャリアを描いたヒューマンドラマ。スポーツマネジメントに焦点を当てたドラマで話題だ。
現役を引退しスポーツマネジメントの世界に足を踏み入れた新町はアスリートを支える一方で、元アスリートとして選手の苦悩が分かるだけに、スポーツマネジメントの現実とのギャップに苦しむ様子が描かれていた。
様々なスポーツを取り上げてきた中、いよいよ最終回を迎えるが、再びサッカーに。FC東京に在籍している人気俳優の神尾楓珠(かみお ふうじゅ)さん演じる伊垣尚人の海外移籍がテーマとなる。
その最終回を前に、『オールドルーキー』と日本サッカー協会(JFA)の公式SNSが驚きの情報を公開。なんと、8月29日に発表され、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で日本代表が着用する新ユニフォームを登場する。
公開された写真では、伊垣を演じる神尾さんが着用。「16」を背負い、プレーするシーンがドラマ中に出てくることになるようだ。
『オールドルーキー』の公式SNSでは、サッカー面の監修を務める元日本代表FW大久保嘉人さんと神尾さんの2ショットが投稿されている。
この投稿には、「イケメンすぎんだろ」、「めっちゃカッコよすぎる」、「すごい」、「とても似合っている」、「めちゃくちゃかっこよ」とその姿が称賛。また「三笘っぽい」と、日本代表MF三笘薫(ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン)に神尾さんの姿が似ていると話題になっている。
一方で、日本代表の選手が試合できるよりも先に画面を通して動いた姿を観ることになることへの違和感も寄せられ、「ドラマの試合が最初とは…」、「出来ればホンモノの選手が親善試合で着て試合してるとこ最初に見たい」、「本物より先に着ちゃうのか」、「ドラマのが先なんだ」と、困惑する声も聞こえてくる。
『オールドルーキー』の最終回は4日の21時から。海外移籍は果たせるのか、そして新ユニフォームを着てどんなプレーを見せるのか注目が集まる。

元日本代表のMF松井大輔(42)が20日に自身インスタグラムでライブ配信を実施。現役引退を発表した。
2023シーズン限りでY.S.C.C.横浜を退団した松井。所属先が決まらない中、サプライズでインスタライブを実施。現役インチを発表した。
ライブ配信には、アテネ・オリンピックや日本代表でもチームメイトとしてプレーした大久保嘉人氏やかつて“霊長類最強“と言われた吉田沙保里さん、本田圭佑氏がゲストで参加。松井はル・マンや日本代表など、自身が着用したユニフォームに次々と着替えるなどファンを楽しませた。
京都府出身の松井は、鹿児島実業高校から京都パープルサンガ(現:京都サンガF.C.)でプロ入り。2年目に背番号10を背負うなど中心選手として活躍すると、2002年には天皇杯優勝を経験。2004年9月にリーグ・ドゥのル・マンへ移籍した。
ル・マンでは1部昇格の原動力となり、「ル・マンの太陽」の愛称でも親しまれると、リーグ・アンでも活躍。2008年にはサンテチェンヌへと移籍すると、その後はグルノーブル、トム・トムスク、ディジョン、スラビア・ソフィア、レヒア・グダニスクとヨーロッパでのプレーを続けた。
2014年にジュビロ磐田へと移籍しJリーグに復帰。2017年には再びポーランドのオドラ・オポーレへと移籍。2018年に横浜FCへと移籍すると、三浦知良や中村俊輔ともプレー。2021年にベトナムのサイゴンFCへと移籍し、現役最後はYS横浜でプレー。Fリーグでもプレーし、サッカーとフットサルの二刀流選手として活躍した。
J1通算98試合7得点、J2通算149試合20得点、J3通算26試合3得点を記録。リーグ・アンでは148試合17得点、リーグ・ドゥでは41試合4得点、ロシア・プレミアリーグでは7試合に出場するなどた。
また、日本代表としても2010年の南アフリカ・ワールドカップでプレー。2011年にはアジアカップ優勝も経験し、U-23日本代表としてはアテネ・オリンピックに出場した。日本代表としては通算31試合1得点を記録していた。

シリア代表のエクトル・クーペル監督が、完敗した日本代表の実力を称えた。
11日、エディオンピースウイング広島で行われた2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選の日本代表vsシリア代表は、ホームの日本が5-0で快勝した。
すでに首位通過を決めている日本は、直近のミャンマー代表戦から先発9人を変更。より攻撃的なメンバー構成で試合に臨むと、13分の上田綺世の先制点を皮切りに、前半半ばまでに堂安律、オウンゴールで加点。3-0で試合を折り返した。
4バックに変更した後半はやや停滞したものの、途中出場となった相馬勇紀のPKと後半終盤に南野拓実が決めたダメ押しのゴールによって5-0の圧勝。6戦全勝24得点無失点という圧巻の内容で2次予選の戦いを終えた。
一方、第5節終了時点で3位の北朝鮮代表と1ポイント差で2位に付けていたシリアは、この後に行われる北朝鮮代表vsミャンマー代表で北朝鮮が敗れた場合、突破の可能性はあるものの、事実上の2次予選敗退が決定した。
同試合後、クーペル監督は敵地で勝利を目指して最後まで戦ったチームの戦いぶりを称えながらも、それでも大きな実力差があった日本に及ばなかったと素直に勝者を称えた。
「日本は今日、本当に大きな打撃を我々に与えた。これは疑いのない事実だと思う。我々の今日の戦略がうまくいかなかったことが大きな敗因だった」
「日本に対してプレッシャーをかけてボールを早く奪おうということを狙っていたが、そこを突破されるたびにチャンスを作られてしまった。我々が思い描いていたプレスをかけられず、それによってスペースが空き、そこを利用された」
「日本の方が実力でだいぶ上回っており、我々がこの試合に向けて立てていた計画が思うようにいかなかった。日本という非常にレベルが高いチーム相手に難しい試合になることはわかっていた」
さらに、守備を固めてカウンターから一発を狙うという形を取らず、よりアグレッシブにゴールを目指した末の敗戦という結果に対しては自ら責任を負った。
「選手たちに伝えたいこととしては、我々は非常にリスクの大きいことをピッチの上で試みた。なぜなら今日は何としても試合に勝たなければいけなかった。日本は強豪チームであり、リスペクトもあったが、我々は今日何としてもゴールを決めなければいけない状況で、リスクを冒して戦った」
「選手たちは十分力を尽くしてくれたが、それでも十分ではなかった。その責任はこれまで準備をしてきた私にある。日本がどんなチームで、どれだけのスピードや強度あり、どんな特徴があるかは事前に把握していた。そこで勝利を収めるために選手たちは全力で戦ってくれたが、それでも全く日本には及ばなかった」
最後に、わずかながらの可能性は残しているものの、2次予選敗退を受け入れた68歳のアルゼンチン人指揮官は、会見の最後に辞任の意向を表明した。
「本当に選手たちは献身的に戦ってくれ、私は彼らの働きに満足している。残念ながら次のステージに進むことができなかった。ワールドカップに向けたひとつのプロセスが終わりを告げ、同時に私にとっても終焉を迎えた。W杯出場を目標にしてきたが、それを達成できなかったからだ」
「選手がここまで献身的にやってくれたことに感謝し、ここ1年半ほどシリア代表の監督を務めてきたが、皆さんに本当によくしてもらった。本当はこの先のワールドカップ予選も戦いたかったが、残念ながらそれは叶わなかった。シリア国民の皆さん、シリアサッカー協会の皆さんには本当に感謝している。残念ながら目標を達成することはできなかったが、皆さんにありがとうと伝えたい。本当に努力し、規律を守りながらここまでよく頑張ってくれた。ひとつのサイクルがここで終わりを告げたと思っている」
かつてバレンシアを2年連続でチャンピオンズリーグ決勝に導いた実績を持つクーペル監督。2001年に就任したインテルでは、当時低迷していたチームで1年目はリーグ3位、2年目は2位という成績を残し、CL準決勝にも進んだ。また、2004年から2006年にかけて指揮したマジョルカで大久保嘉人を指導したことで日本でも知名度は高い。
その後はギリシャやトルコ、UAEなど多くの国々で監督業を務めた中で、ここ数年はエジプト代表、ウズベキスタン代表、コンゴ民主共和国代表の監督を歴任していた。

2021シーズン限りで現役を引退していた元日本代表FW大久保嘉人が、23日に現役ラストマッチを行った横浜FCの元日本代表MF中村俊輔(44)へのメッセージを送った。
大久保は中村より4つ年下だが、1年先に現役を引退。2018年途中から2019年まで在籍したジュビロ磐田では、チームメイトとしてプレーしていた。
