ファジアーノ岡山は30日、DFヨルディ・バイス(33)との契約更新を発表した。
母国オランダや、ルーマニア、オーストラリアでもプレーしたヨルディ・バイスは2018年7月のV・ファーレン長崎入りを機に日本を舞台に。徳島ヴォルティスや、京都サンガF.C.を渡り歩いた後、今季に岡山入りした。

2022シーズンの明治安田生命J2リーグのアウォーズが14日に開催。各賞が発表された。 これまではJ1をメインに全てのカテゴリーを同一のアウォーズで表彰していた中、今シーズンからはカテゴリーを分けてアウォーズを開催。そのため、J2のベストイレブンや最優秀選手賞のタイトルが誕生した。 初代J2ベストイレブンには、見事にJ2を制し、J1への昇格を果たしたアルビレックス新潟から最多の6名が選出。また、2位の横浜FCと4位のロアッソ熊本からは2名ずつ、3位のファジアーノ岡山からは1名が選出された。 クラブ史上最高位の3位でシーズンを終えた岡山は、J1参入プレーオフで敗れていたが、攻守に躍動したDFヨルディ・バイスがベストイレブンに選出されていた。 受賞したバイスは「純粋に非常に嬉しく思っている。チームのみんなの努力のおかげで獲れたと思っているので、チームと一緒に喜びを分かち合いたいと思う」とコメント。チームメイトのお陰だと感謝した。 岡山に移籍して1年目のシーズン。リーグ戦を振り返り「リーグ自体は非常にタフなシーズンで、守備的にならなければいけないシーズンだったが、個人としては7ゴール3アシストでチームに貢献できたと思う」とコメント。「守備がメインの仕事だが、攻撃にも参加して、個人的にもタフだった」と、攻守にわたる活躍はタフであると語った。 昇格こそ逃したがチームはレギュラーシーズンを3位でフィニッシュ。「素晴らしいシーズンを過ごせたと思う」と語るバイスは、「ファジアーノは例年は中位ぐらいだったと思うが、今年は3位で終えられて非常に良いシーズンだった。チームの選手、スタッフ、ファン、全員の努力のお陰だと思っているし、そこに関しては誇りに思っている」と、3位という成績を喜んだ。 ただ「ここからより良いクラブ、チームを作っていくために、また作り上げていかなければいけないと思う」とコメント。来季はさらに上げる必要があるとし、個人としても「毎シーズン反省しなければいけないところはある。年齢関係なく、より良くなっていけると思うので、頑張っていきたい」と、33歳ながら、さらに成長したいと語った。 攻撃、守備だけでなく、リーダーシップも発揮していたバイス。「リーダーになるのは簡単なことではなく、生まれ持ってリーダーでなくてはいけない」と語り、「リーダーとしてチームを助けられ、チームに勝者のメンタリティを持ち込めて良かった」と、チームに影響力を持てたことを喜んだ。 また、「最後はチームも勝利のためにみんなが色々なことを犠牲にして、自分たちがたどり着きたい場所に向けて努力できるチームになっていたと思う」と、チームメイトのメンタリティも成長したと振り返った。 そのバイスは岡山のサポーターについても言及。改めてチームを支えてくれたことに感謝し、今季の成績もサポーターのおかげだとした。 「個人としてもチームとしても、サポーターからのサポート受けることは必要なことで、そのおかげで1%追加する部分、プッシュできたと思う」 「今シーズンはしっかりとサポートを受けられることができた。結果として2位以上でフィニッシュすることはできなかったが、チームの新たな歴史を築けたことは、サポーターのおかげだ」 2022.11.15 08:30 Tue
