日本代表FW上田綺世と妻の由布菜月さんとのやりとりが話題を呼んでいる。
16日、2026年の北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選で日本はミャンマー代表と対戦。5-0で日本が快勝スタートを切った。
格下相手の快勝スタートを切った日本の立役者の1人が、トップで起用された上田。2年半前のカタールW杯アジア2次予選でオナイウ阿道(オセール)以来のハットトリックを記録した。
昨シーズンはセルクル・ブルージュでプレーし、ジュピラー・プロ・リーグの得点王争いを繰り広げる得点力を見せつけると、今シーズンからオランダの名門・フェイエノールトへと完全移籍する。
新天地ではまだまだフィットに時間をかけているところだが、日本代表のエースとしての期待は高い状況。そしてついに日本代表でも結果を残した。
11分に南野拓実(モナコ)の浮き球のパスにヘディングで絶妙に合わせたシュートで先制ゴールを奪うと、2-0で迎えた前半アディショナルタイムには堂安律(フライブルク)のトリッキーなパスに反応して追加点。さらに後半早々の50分には、南野のスペースへのパスに反応してゴールを奪い、ハットトリックを達成した。
試合後、スタンドで観戦していた由布さんを見つけると近づいていった上田。何か言葉を交わすと、由布さんもサムズアップで反応し活躍した夫を称える形に。その際には2人の手がしっかりと繋がれており、仲の良さも感じさせた。

3月の北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選で北朝鮮代表との2連戦に臨む日本。まずは21日に国立競技場でホームでの一戦を迎える。
その北朝鮮戦に向けたトレーニングキャンプが18日にスタートしている中、19日に堂安も日本へ帰国。自身のインスタグラムを更新し、「ただいま日本!」と帰国を報告している。
堂安はおよそ3週間ぶりのインスタグラムへの投稿。私服で移動している時の格好だが、ピッチの上とは違い、普段上げている前髪も下ろしている。

日本代表のMF堂安律(フライブルク)が私服でのオフショットを投稿して話題となっている。
3月の2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選に臨む日本のメンバーに選ばれていた堂安。北朝鮮代表との連戦に臨む予定だったなか、国立競技場で行われた21日の試合には先発出場して74分までプレー。決勝点となったMF田中碧(デュセルドルフ)のゴールにも絡んだ。
その後、アウェイの平壌で開催予定だった試合は中止となって活動を終えた日本。堂安は25日にインスタグラムを更新し、「思わぬオフでしたが少しリフレッシュできました。今シーズン残り8試合頑張ります」とクラブでの意気込みを綴った。
堂安は、アースカラーのカーディガンと『LOEWE(ロエベ)』のビッグロゴが目立つジーンズを着用した私服のオフショットを投稿。ファンからは「やばーーーい流石にかっこよすぎる!!!」、「私服かっこよすぎ」、「LOEWE似合ってる」、「オフスタイルもカッコイイ!!」といった絶賛の声が寄せられることとなった。
代表合流前のクラブの試合では、今シーズンのリーグ3点目もマークしていた堂安。シーズン終盤のさらなる活躍にも期待がかかる。
