プリメーラ・ディビシオン(アルゼンチン1部)のインデペンディエンテは22日、新監督に元アルゼンチン代表FWカルロス・テベス氏(39)を迎えたと発表。契約期間は1年間とのことだ。
現役時代にユナイテッドとシティのマンチェスター勢や、ユベントス、ボカ・ジュニアーズなどで活躍したテベス氏。クラブキャリア通算267ゴール、アルゼンチン代表として通算76キャップを誇ったストライカーは現役引退後の昨年6月、母国のロサリオ・セントラルで監督キャリアを開始した。
2022シーズン終了後にロサリオを退任し、現在に至るまで半年以上フリーとなっていたが、インデペンディエンテが発表したところによると、テベス氏は22日に1年契約にサイン。その足で練習場へと向かい、さっそく指揮を執り始めたという。
インデペンディエンテは2023シーズンのリーグ戦前期である全27試合と後期1試合を終えて28チーム中24位と低迷。テベス新監督は残りの13試合でチームを少しでも浮上させることがノルマとなるが、就任会見で「インディぺンディエンテを救いに来たわけではない」と語り、選手たちを奮い立たせた。

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

マキシ・ロペスが元妻ワンダ・ナラとディナーに…かつてイカルディと不倫され離婚も「幸せであり続けて欲しい」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

54歳バティストゥータ氏がチャリティーマッチでゴール!4年前には左足首を人工関節に置換
