まるで地下都市!大規模改修中のマドリー本拠地、ピッチ格納庫の様子を公開

冒険心をくすぐられそうだ。レアル・マドリーの本拠地、サンティアゴ・ベルナベウは現在大規模な改修中。2019年6月からスタートし、新型コロナウイルス(Covid-19)の影響で一時はストップしたものの、現在もワールドカップ(W杯)によるラ・リーガ中断期間を利用して着々と工事が進められている。

開閉式天井の建設やイベント利用を可能にするためピッチを格納式にするなど大規模事業が進行中。プロジェクションマッピングの投影に対応した外壁新設も行われる。
マドリーは8日に改修中のスタジアムを公開。一段と目を惹くのは、ピッチを格納するための地下空間だろう。

「サンティアゴ・ベルナベウの深淵に入り、芝生がどのように保存されるかを見てみよう!」と紹介された地下は芝生維持のために温室となる予定で、巨大な空間が広がっている。深さも5階分以上はあると思われ、巨大クレーンが稼働する様子を含めて『ESPN』は「まるで地下都市だ」と表現している。
スケールの大きさにファンからも「最高のホーム」、
「史上最高のスタジアム」、「ホームスイートホーム」、「ああ、我が家が恋しい」、「世界最高のクラブには、最高のスタジアムが必要です」などの声が寄せられている。

進化を遂げるスタジアム。竣工時期は2023年上半期を予定している。

キックの名手クロース、“バスケットゴール”に直接沈める妙技にファン驚愕「スナイパーだ」「ボールは彼の言うことを聞く」

代表戦で衝突のアルダ・ギュレルとソボスライがSNSで場外戦…出場時間揶揄に対してマドリーMFが痛烈な返し

さらにお父さん似に?モドリッチとそっくりな娘が10歳に

重傷を負ったレアルの17歳逸材CBが復帰間近、昨夏のツアー帯同に続くCWC参加なるか
