イニエスタが新発見された“恐竜”の名前に! その名も「ブルゴスのイニエスタの足」

ヴィッセル神戸の元スペイン代表MFアンドレス・イニエスタが新種の恐竜の名前になった。スペイン『el Diario.es』や『マルカ』が伝えている。

スペインのブルゴスで竜脚類の足跡の化石が発見。この恐竜は、竜脚類の特徴(四足歩行、草食、長い首と尾)を持ち、足に4つの爪があり、つま先が短いなど特徴があるそうだ。

そして、新発見された恐竜は、イニエスタに敬意を表し、「Iniestapodus burgensis」と命名された。意味としては「ブルゴスのイニエスタの足」になる。

『マルカ』によると、この恐竜を発見したチームは「この恐竜は平和的で、足跡はラ・マンチャ出身のサッカー選手(アンドレス・イニエスタ)のようにエレガントで、優雅だ」と報告しているそう。

また、「ブルゴスの恐竜の足跡が何百万年も続いたのと同じように、アンドレス・イニエスタの才能と成功は、スペイン代表と世界のサッカーの歴史の基本的な部分を構成している」と声明を発表したとのことだ。

なお、このチームが歴史上の人物にちなんで名付けたことは初めてではなく、過去には、科学者チャールズ・ダーウィンや俳優クリント・イーストウッドの名前もつけている。

イニエスタの甥っ子がキュート!スペインの母の日に“母デビュー”の姉にエール

「すっごい素敵」「日本文化も愛してくれてありがとう」別れが近づくイニエスタ、家族揃って袴&着物姿で日本を刻み記念写真「家族と一緒に素晴らしい経験でした」
