マンチェスター・ユナイテッドに所属するスペイン代表GKダビド・デ・へアが16日に敵地で行われたチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)準々決勝2ndレグのバルセロナ戦後、チームメイトに詫びたという。イギリス『エクスプレス』が報じた。

ホームでの1stレグで0-1の先勝を許したユナイテッド。続く16日の2ndレグで逆転突破に向け、勝利が求められ、立ち上がりから攻勢を仕掛けた。だが、終わってみれば0-3の完敗。パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)との前ラウンドに続く逆転突破とはならず、ベスト8敗退が決まった。

この2ndレグでもゴールマウスを守ったデ・へアだが、16分に先制を許すと、続く20分にも失点。その2失点目はアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシの利き足ではない右足から繰り出された勢いのないシュートだったが、らしくない脇の下を抜かれる凡ミスを犯してのものだった。

そうしたパフォーマンスに批判な声が相次ぐデ・ヘアは敗退が決まった2ndレグ終了後、ドレッシングルームで自責の念を強め、チームメイトに謝罪。自身のミスがなければ、ユナイテッドが準決勝に勝ち上がれたかもしれなかったとの旨を口にした模様だ。

近年のフットボール界において、指折りのGKとして数えられるデ・ヘア。今後、プレミアリーグでのトップ4争いに全力を注ぐことになるユナイテッドの守護神として、名誉挽回のパフォーマンスが求められる。

メッシが小走りで駆け寄り…PSGとバルセロナの“先輩”ロナウジーニョと再会「嬉しそう」

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定
