▽ユベントスに所属するFWマリオ・マンジュキッチ(32)が、クロアチア代表からの引退を発表した。自身のツイッター(@MarioMandzukic9)とクロアチアサッカー協会(HNS)を通じて発表した。

▽マンジュキッチは、世代別のクロアチア代表を経験すると、2007年にA代表デビュー。ユーロは2012年、2016年の2大会、ワールドカップは2014年、2018年と2大会に出場していた。

▽今年行われたロシア・ワールドカップでは、6試合に出場し3ゴールを記録。チームの準優勝に大きく貢献。ユーロでは通算6試合に出場し3ゴールを記録。クロアチア代表としては通算89試合に出場し33ゴールを記録。ダボル・シュケル氏に続いて2番目の得点記録を持っていた。

▽マンジュキッチは自身のツイッターを通じてコメント。「僕はピッチの外よりも、いつもピッチの上で話をすることが好きだった。クロアチア代表チームとの別れの言葉を見つけることは難しかった」とコメントした。
