▽今季限りで満了するアーセナルとの契約に関して延長交渉が滞っているエジルに関しては、かねてからレアル・マドリー時代に指導を受けたジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督率いるユナイテッドとの関連が伝えられてきた。最近になってバルセロナからの関心が広く伝えられているが、『sabah』によればフェネルバフチェがエジルに移籍の意思があるか尋ねたところ、ユナイテッド移籍を示唆したもようだ。

▽報道によれば、フェネルバフチェがエジルに対して、「ウチに来る意思はあるか?」と尋ねたところ、「マンチェスター・ユナイテッドに行く予定」とのメッセージを受け取ったという。さらに、「プレミアリーグでのプレーを続けたい。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドからの重要なオファーがある。多分、そこに行く」と話したようだ。
