グラスホッパーの日本代表MF川辺駿が、宣材写真に注文を入れた。19日に行われたスイス・スーパーリーグ第18節のバーゼル戦でスタメンフル出場を果たした川辺。[4-3-1-2]のトップ下で躍動し、序盤から積極的にフィニッシュに絡むと、0-1とビハインドで迎えた53分にはニアを抜く強烈なボレーで同点ゴールを挙げた。
その後も多くの決定機に絡んだ川辺。試合は2-2の引き分けに終わったが、チームの攻撃を牽引したことが評価され、第18節の最優秀選手に選出された。
スイス・フットボール・リーグ(SFL)は公式インスタグラムでも川辺の選出を発表。だが、川辺は使用された写真の表情にあまり納得がいっていないようだ。

「第一の責任は私にあると思います」試合後の記者会見で、森保一監督は第一声で自分の責任を認めた。日本代表は7日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選のタジキスタン代表戦を行い、4-1で勝利した。 国内組が7名先発、DF中谷進之介(名古屋グランパス)、MF川辺駿(サンフレッチェ広島)、MF古橋亨梧(ヴィッセル神戸)が初先発と大きくメンバーを入れ替えて臨んだ。 すでに最終予選進出を決めている中で、東京オリンピックに向けたオーバーエイジ枠としてDF吉田麻也(サンプドリア)、DF酒井宏樹(マルセイユ)、MF遠藤航(シュツットガルト)がU-24日本代表に参加するために離脱。さらにDF冨安健洋(ボローニャ)も東京オリンピック世代のため、特に守備陣は通常と違う陣容となった。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆気になった立ち上がりのプレー</span> <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/1200/img/2021/get20210608_7_tw1.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><div style="text-align:right;font-size:small;" id="cws_ad" class="desc">Getty Images<hr></div> 14-0で勝利したモンゴル代表、10-0で勝利したミャンマー代表と比較すれば、グループ2位に位置するタジキスタン代表は1つも2つもレベルは上のチームだ。世代別では2019年のU-17ワールドカップや2018年のAFC U-19選手権に出場するなど、アジアでも実力を持った国の1つだ。 日本のメンバー変更、そして相手のレベルが上がったことでこれまでの2試合と同じような展開になるとは思われていなかった。しかし、同じ日本代表として活動してきた中で、同等のパフォーマンスを見せられるかに注目が集まっていた。 立ち上がり、日本は高いインテンシティで入った。ファーストコンタクトからその雰囲気を出すと、6分に山根視来(川崎フロンターレ)のスルーパスに反応したFW浅野拓磨が裏を取るとボックス内でシュート。しかし、GKにセーブされると、こぼれ球を古橋が蹴り込み、日本が先制した。 苦しむ可能性もあった中、早い時間帯に先制。このゴールで、普段から出場機会が少ない選手たちの肩の荷がおりてリラックスしてプレーできるだろうと感じた。 しかし、ここからの選択が問題だった。 先制した日本。モンゴル戦やミャンマー戦であれば、さらに相手を押し込んで追加点を狙って行ったはずだ。しかし、負けられないタジキスタンが圧を掛けにくると、それに押されるかのように徐々に後退して行った。 ボランチで先発した川辺は「結果として後ろに重たくなってしまった」とコメント。コンビを組むMF橋本拳人(FCロストフ)は「バランス見ながらやり過ぎたなということはある」と語り、慎重に行き過ぎた結果、押し込まれる展開となった。 最終ラインに入ったDF昌子源(ガンバ大阪)は「簡単なボールの失い方が特に前半は多かったので、自分たちがボールをしっかり持って、コントロールできたらよかったと思う」とコメント。ボランチから後ろが初めての選手が多いことも影響したが、前に押し出すことができず、先制から3分後に失点を喫した。これが2次予選の初失点となった。 「いつかは失点する時が来る」と森保監督も語ったように、失点自体が問題というわけではない。もちろん無失点であることは良いことだが、問題はその失点を生み出すまでの流れ。この流れは、主力組が試合に出ていれば起こらなかったとも想像できる。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆主力組と控え組の差は「持続性」</span> <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/1200/img/2021/get20210608_7_tw2.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><div style="text-align:right;font-size:small;" id="cws_ad" class="desc">Getty Images<hr></div> 国内組と海外組という分け方ができるが、敢えて主力組と控え組と言い換えさせてもらう。 U-24日本代表に参加している主力組の4人がいない事、また前線の組み合わせでもケガで離脱したFW大迫勇也(ブレーメン)が居なかったことや、MF鎌田大地(フランクフルト)、MF伊東純也(ヘンク)がベンチにいたことは大きく影響したと言える。 1つのポイントは「持続性」だ。先制点を取った後のプレーは、その「持続性」が出せずにズルズルと下がり、最後は押し込まれてしまった。しかし、ここ2試合で主力組が見せていた戦い方は、押し込み続けて相手を圧倒するというサッカーだった。 同じコンセプトでトレーニングを行なっている中、当然選手たちの頭の中にもあったはず。しかし、結果として前半はその姿を見せることがなかなかできなかった。 後半に入り、ハーフタイムで修正もあったことで明らかにインテンシティは上がった。球際のデュエルも、ボールを奪いに行く位置も、選手の動きに関しても増えた。「選手層の幅を広げながら、より高い頂点を目指す」と森保監督が語った通り、この問題が生まれることは想定済みだったはずだ。しかし、その差があることを実感しなければいけないということ。日本代表として高い目標、高いレベルに行くには、控え組の選手たちが高いレベルに行かなければいけない。 最終的に4ゴールを奪い、失点以外のシーンで守備陣に問題が生まれたシーンはなかったため、試合中に成長を果たしたということ。急造のコンビも徐々に感覚があってきたのだろう。それを試合の頭から出せることが、今の控え組には重要であり、残り2試合で示さなければいけないポイントとなった。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆別格の存在感を見せる鎌田大地</span> <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/1200/img/2021/get20210608_7_tw3.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><div style="text-align:right;font-size:small;" id="cws_ad" class="desc">Getty Images<hr></div> この試合でもう1つの発見は、後半から出場した鎌田の存在感だ。南野拓実(サウサンプトン)に代わってトップ下に入った鎌田。タイトな守備でなかなかスペースを与えなかったタジキスタンディフェンスにあって、その間で巧みにポジションを取り、しっかりと後方からのパスを引き出した。 今回の活動では大迫が残り2試合を欠場。前線の選手としてはアピールの舞台となる一方で、大迫が見せていたタメを作る攻撃ができなくなるというマイナスもあった。 しかし、鎌田がトップ下に入ることで攻撃が活性化。周りの選手自体が生きる場面が一気に増え、連動性が生まれた。鎌田の持つ特徴の1つである優れたポジショニングがこれを生み出しており、フランクフルトで見せている力を代表でも存分に発揮している。 当然、鎌田もいつもとは違う組み合わせの選手たちとプレーしたわけだが、それでも持ち味を出してプレー。その点でも、今の日本代表の主力としてのレベルを示したと言えるだろう。このレベルを控え組の選手たちも感じることが重要であり、逆に言えば一緒に出る主力組の選手たちは、引き上げるプレーをしなければいけない。 自信の特徴を出した上で、周りを使う。急造のコンビになる可能性はセレクトされた代表チームなのだから当然。そこで力を発揮できなければ意味はなく、個々がその意識を持たなければ、不測の事態は乗り越えられない。 「底上げ」という言葉は、下が成長して行くだけでなく、上が引っ張りあげることも重要。東京五輪世代の選手たちも9月の最終予選には絡んでくることとなり、A代表との試合で感化された選手が多くいる状況。3カ月後にどちらがA代表の水準になれているのか。残りの試合にも注目だ。 <div id="cws_ad">《超ワールドサッカー編集部・菅野剛史》</div> 2021.06.08 13:40 Tue

「プロジェクトがエキサイティングだった」川辺駿がグラスホッパーで最初のインタビュー! 全編英語で対応

前回大会4位のスイス代表がメンバー発表! ジャカらが招集《UEFAネーションズリーグ》

グラスホッパー川辺駿がアシスト記録も…瀬古歩夢は空中戦に敗れ失点関与

「クソッタレ!」ストイコビッチ監督が興奮し問題発言、スイスとセルビアに起きた4年前の遺恨が再燃か「とても悪い振る舞い」
