6月に発表される予定の日本代表の新ユニフォーム。ユニフォーム情報やギア情報を扱うメディア『Footy Headlines』がリーク情報をアップした。
日本代表が現在着用しているユニフォームは、折り鶴からヒントを得た「ORIGAMI」をコンセプトにしており、2022年8月に発表。2022年のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)や今年のアジアカップ、現在行われている2026年北中米W杯アジア2次予選でも着用されている。
およそ2年周期で切り替わるユニフォームデザイン。ユーロやコパ・アメリカといった今夏行われる大会に臨む国は次々と新ユニフォームが発表されている。
そんな中、日本のユニフォームは6月に発表される予定。そんな中、情報がリークされた。
新ユニフォームは、日本を代表するデザイナーであり、「Y-3」でも知られる山本耀司氏が担当。「Yohji Yamamoto」のブランドは世界でも高く評価されているデザイナーだ。
メインカラーも変更され、今の明るい青からネイビーになるとのこと。これは2018年のユニフォーム以来のカラーリングとなるという。
デザインは「炎」になり、前面に青い炎がデザインされることに。また、エンブレムが胸の中央に位置することになるという。
リークされたデザインにファンは「本当に良いキットだ」、「カッコいい」、「マジならめっちゃ良い」と称賛するコメントもある一方で、「なぜロゴが真ん中?」、「小学生のナップサックみたい」、「トレーニングウェアに見える」、「Y-3にはもっと期待していた」、「嘘だろ?」と否定的な意見も多く見られている。
いずれにしても発表される新ユニフォームは、パリ・オリンピックから着用されることに。A代表の着用は、9月の北中米W杯アジア最終予選からとなる。

先日結婚を発表したロイヤル・ユニオン・サン=ジロワーズの日本代表DF町田浩樹(26)が、自身のインスタグラムで妻との2ショット写真を投稿し話題だ。
日本代表として2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選を戦った町田。11日のシリア代表戦ではフル出場し、無失点の勝利に貢献していた。
2023-24シーズンは、チームでも守備の要として活躍。公式戦45試合で3ゴール1アシストを記録するなどし、110年ぶりとなるクロッキーカップ優勝にも貢献していた。
その町田は12日にインスタグラムで結婚を発表。6月7日に入籍したことを伝えていた。
ブリュッセルの世界遺産であるグラン・プラスでのキスショットをアップしていた中、新たに妻との2ショットを多数投稿。顔も分かる写真が複数枚投稿され、話題を呼んでいる。

元日本代表FWの呂比須ワグナー氏が、インドネシア紙『Kompas.com』で日本代表の「唯一の欠点」を指摘した。
9月から始まる2026年ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選で、日本代表と同じグループCに入るインドネシア代表。日本代表とは11月14日の第5節でホームゲームだ。
なぜ、インドネシア紙に呂比須ワグナー氏が?
日本代表のW杯初出場に大きく貢献した現在55歳の名ストライカー、実は2024-25シーズンからインドネシア1部のPSSスレマンで指揮を執っているのだ。
チームが開幕2試合2連敗で最下位…という2012年のガンバ大阪が頭をよぎる点はさておき、『Kompas.com』の取材に応じた呂比須氏。「インドネシア代表がもしW杯本大会出場なら、サッカー界にとって大きな出来事ですね」とコメントする。
“自国”日本についても言及。
「上田綺世、遠藤航、冨安健洋…ヨーロッパの最前線で鍛えられた選手たちが揃っています。インドネシアが日本に勝てるか? 難しい質問ですね…まず落ちついて試合に臨まねばなりません。ボールを上手く扱えば、上手く蹴ることもできるのが、サッカーです」
日本の課題とは。
「日本代表は成長し続けていますね。陣営内で大きな評価を得ているチームです。とても強く、とても組織的で、ボール回しの循環が格段に良い…決定力が欠けているだけです」
日本での現役時代、日本リーグ通算92試合49得点、Jリーグ通算144試合75得点、旧JFL通算113試合115得点をマークした呂比須氏だ。

19日、2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選第6節の中国代表戦に臨む日本代表のスターティングメンバーが発表された。
ここまで5試合を戦い、4勝1分けの無敗で首位を独走している日本。15日にはアウェイでインドネシア代表と対戦し、0-4で勝利を収めていた。
中国戦に勝利すれば、3月にもW杯出場が決まる可能性がある日本。ホームでは7-0と圧勝を収めていた中、森保一監督はインドネシア戦から5名を変更しターンオーバーを敢行してきた。
中国戦で新たに起用された5名は、DF瀬古歩夢(グラスホッパー)、MF田中碧(リーズ・ユナイテッド)、MF伊東純也(スタッド・ランス)、MF久保建英(レアル・ソシエダ)、MF中村敬斗(スタッド・ランス)となった。
