フットボール界のレジェンドであるディエゴ・マラドーナ氏(60)が25日に急逝した。
10月30日に60歳の誕生日を迎えたばかりのマラドーナ氏だったが、その後に硬膜下血腫が見つかり緊急手術。無事に手術は成功していたが、この度心不全で帰らぬ人となった。
そのマラドーナ氏が全盛期を過ごし、チームに黄金期をもたらせたのがナポリだった。
現在はイタリア屈指の強豪として認知されているナポリだが、初めて歓喜の渦に包まれたのは1980年代後半だった。1984-1985シーズンにバルセロナからやってきたディエゴ・マラドーナによって、チームは数々のタイトルを獲得した。
マラドーナが中心のチームは、1986-87シーズンにセリエAとコッパ・イタリアの2冠に輝き、その後も優勝を争いながら、1988-89シーズンにはUEFAカップ(現EL)を獲得。そして、迎えた1989-90シーズンにクラブ史上2度目となるスクデットを手に入れることとなる。

フットボールの世界では、絶大なる個の力を有する選手がそのチームの戦術となることがしばしばある。そして、この頃のナポリは、まさにマラドーナのチームだった。
そのマラドーナを支えるため、チロ・フェラーラを中心とした守備陣とフェルナンド・デ・ナポリなどの中盤の選手は守備に奔走した。ナポリは、当時のイタリア代表メンバーを中心にマラドーナを支える土台を固めていた。
攻撃は前線のトライアングルで形成した。自由を与えられたマラドーナは攻撃の全権を掌握。また、後に柏でプレーするブラジル代表FWカレカとイタリア代表FWアンドレア・カルネバーレの2トップがゴールを重ね、当時23歳のジャンフランコ・ゾラも存在感を示した。
“ナポリの王様”と評されたマラドーナは、イタリア随一の陽気な街に2度のスクデットをもたらした。数々の魅力的なプレーで観客を魅了し、自身が付けた10番が永久欠番になるほどサポーターから愛された。ただ、かねてからコカイン使用が疑われるなど、イタリアマフィアの巣窟であるナポリで麻薬に染まり、プロ選手としてのキャリアが終焉に向かっていった。

イタリア代表DFジョバンニ・ディ・ロレンツォ(30)のナポリ退団希望を代理人が認めた。イタリア『カルチョメルカート』が伝える。
叩き上げの男、ディ・ロレンツォ。20代半ばまでアマチュアリーグのセリエDでプレーしていたなか、ナポリ主将として故ディエゴ・マラドーナさん以来にスクデットのトロフィーを掲げるまでに登り詰めた、まさに苦労人だ。
その昨季も今季もケガなくフル稼働する鉄人ぶりも称賛に値するところだが、ここ数日で「ナポリ退団を希望?」と伝えられるようになり、これを受けて代理人のマリオ・ジュフレディ氏が27日にメディア対応。あっさり認めた。
「私の役目は彼を守ること。彼についてのことを明確にする」
「ジョバンニは、ここ数日でチームメイト全員およびジョバンニ・マンナ(SD就任が確実)と対話した。そして、クラブからの信頼が欠けていると感じていることについて、率直にマンナにぶつけた」
「マンナが彼に対して個人的なリスペクトを明かしてくれたことには私も感謝したい。ただ、アウレリオ・デ・ラウレンティス(会長)には、オファーに応じて彼を売却する用意をしてもらう。ジョバンニはナポリを去る決意だ」
「つい最近までそんな意志はなかったと断言する。なんなら生涯契約とも言える書類に(昨夏)サインした。信頼の欠如で全てが変わってしまったということだよ。ジョバンニを求めるトップクラブからの電話があることを、ここでハッキリさせておく」

元日本代表FW大久保嘉人の新たなヘアスタイルが話題となっている。
Jリーグでは最多ゴールを記録を保持し、日本代表としても活躍した大久保氏。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では解説も務めていた。
その大久保氏は、カタールから日本へ帰国したが、現在はイタリアにいるとのこと。自身のインスタグラムでナポリにいることを明かしていた。
カタールW杯で優勝したアルゼンチン代表の英雄であり、36年前の優勝メンバーであるディエゴ・マラドーナ氏がかつてプレーした街でもあるナポリ。街中は、マラドーナ氏のパネルやグッズで溢れていることを報告していた。
その大久保氏だが、ナポリのユニフォームを着用した姿を投稿。「ナポリと言えばマラドーナ。マラドーナになりました」と写真をアップすると、マラドーナばりのパーマヘアに変身していたのだ。
これにはファンも「ディエゴ・嘉人・マラドーナ」、「めっちゃ似合う」、「和製マラドーナ」、「めちゃくちゃカッコいい」、「パーマ可愛い」と称賛の声が集まっている。
中には、「アイマール」、「バルデラマ」と他の選手の名前も上がり、息子は「ブルーノマーズやないん?www」と確かに似ている投稿を。ただ、大久保は「マラドーナや」と返事をしていた。
ピッチを離れても別の方向性で楽しませてくれている大久保。ナポリの街にもお似合いの様子だ。

ナポリは10日、2023-24シーズンのホームユニフォームとアウェイユニフォームを同時に発表した。
2022-23シーズン、33年ぶりのセリエA優勝を成し遂げたナポリ。しかし、スクデットに導いたルチアーノ・スパレッティ監督は退任し、ルディ・ガルシア新監督のもとで王者としての新シーズンを戦うことになった。
その新ユニフォームは、引き続き「エンポリオ・アルマーニ」のスポーツラインである『EA7』がデザイン。スポンサーシップ契約の継続が新ユニフォームと合わせて発表されている。
ホームユニフォームは、青をベースとしつつシャツの前身頃にナポリの「N」のマークが箔押しのような形で全面に施されている。袖口は緑、白、赤のイタリア国旗を示す3色で縁取られ、襟も緑、白、赤の2つのラインが交差するようなデザインになっている。
一方のアウェイユニフォームは、白をベースにナポリのシンボルであるヴェスヴィオ火山をうっすらとデザイン。袖口と襟は紺色に切り替わり、襟はVネックになっている。
そして、胸元にはホームとアウェイ共通で『EA7』のロゴとクラブのエンブレム、イタリア国旗、スポンサーロゴが描かれている。
これで3シーズン連続となる『EA7』製のユニフォームには、ファンからも「超いいな」、「かっこよすぎる」、「ゴージャス」、「アルマーニはずるい」と好評の声が上がっている。
一方で、『FOOTY HEADLINES』は130ユーロ(約2万円、試合用)という販売価格に注目。100ユーロ(約1万5000円)未満のクラブが多い中、「非常に高価」と指摘している。

現在はイタリア屈指の強豪として認知されているナポリだが、初めて歓喜の渦に包まれたのは1980年代後半だった。1984-1985シーズンにバルセロナからやってきたマラドーナによって、チームは数々のタイトルを獲得した。マラドーナが中心のチームは、1986-87シーズンにセリエAとコッパ・イタリアの2冠に輝き、その後も優勝を争いながら、1988-89シーズンにはUEFAカップ(現EL)を獲得。そして、迎えた1989-90シーズンにクラブ史上2度目となるスクデットを手に入れることとなる。
開幕から順調に勝ち点を積み重ねたナポリは、このシーズンにCL2連覇を達成したミランやインテルと優勝争いを繰り広げた。後半戦ではそのミランとインテルとの直接対決に敗れたが、粘りを見せて最後の5試合で5連勝を達成。ミランを追い抜いて見事に優勝を決めた。その後は、問題を抱えたマラドーナの退団とともにチームは長らく低迷期に入ったが、2004年のデ・ラウレンティス会長就任を機に、強豪チームへとのし上がった。

フットボールの世界では、絶大なる個の力を有する選手がそのチームの戦術となることがしばしばある。そして、この頃のナポリは、まさにマラドーナのチームだった。
そのマラドーナを支えるため、フェラーラを中心とした守備陣とデ・ナポリなどの中盤の選手は守備に奔走した。ナポリは、当時のイタリア代表メンバーを中心にマラドーナを支える土台を固めた。
攻撃は前線のトライアングルで形成した。自由を与えられたマラドーナは攻撃の全権を掌握。また、後に柏でプレーするブラジル代表FWカレカとイタリア代表FWカルネバーレの2トップがゴールを重ね、23歳のゾラも存在感を示した。
