ヘンクの日本代表MF伊東純也がJリーグ時代のチームメイトを訪ねたようだ。
ヴァンフォーレ甲府から柏レイソルを経て2018年冬に海を渡った伊東。4シーズン目を迎えたヘンクでは通算138試合出場29得点45アシストを記録し、もはやチームにとって欠かせない存在となっている。
レバークーゼンが興味を示しているとの報道も上がる伊東は、同クラブの本拠地も属するノルトライン=ヴェストファーレン州(NRW)を訪れた様子。レバークーゼンからは車で1時間強ほど、同州のクレーヴェ群シュトラーレンに拠点を構えるSV19シュトラーレン(SVS)の試合を観戦した。
ドイツ4部相当のSVSには柏時代のチームメイト、DF宮本駿晃が在籍。柏の育成組織出身である宮本が2種登録された2017年と、トップチームに昇格した2018年に2人はともにプレーしている。
宮本はインスタグラムで伊東との2ショットを掲載。「純也くん観にきてくれてありがとうございました。お陰様でカテゴリー一個上の相手に勝てました。リーグ戦も残留できるように頑張ります」と、27日に行われた地方のカップ戦・ニーダーラインポカールの準決勝で、3部・MSVデュイスブルクを破ったことを報告した。
ドイツで旧交を温めた伊東。ヘンクはプレーオフ2を戦っているが後輩から刺激をもらった伊東の活躍にも期待が集まる。
