バイエルンの女子チームは26日、なでしこジャパンのDF熊谷紗希(32)ら4選手の退団を発表した。
熊谷は常盤木学園高校から2009年に浦和レッズレディース(現:三菱重工浦和レッズレディース)へ加入。なでしこジャパンでも早々に主軸となり、2011年ドイツ女子ワールドカップ(W杯)でも主力として日本初の優勝に貢献した。
大会後には海を渡り、FFCフランクフルト(アイントラハト・フランクフルト)へ移籍。2013-14からはリヨンで8年間プレーし、国内リーグ戦7連覇や前人未踏のUEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)5連覇などに大きく貢献した。2019-20シーズンのUWCLでは男女通じて日本人唯一となる決勝でのゴールも決めている。
バイエルンには2021-22シーズンから加入し、ボランチやセンターバックのほか、インサイドハーフでもプレーするなど、多様性と柔軟性を発揮。2年間での公式戦出場64試合中51勝をマークし、11ゴールという数字を残している。
7月にはオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯を控えるなかでの退団発表となったが、新天地などは発表されていない。
熊谷は自身のインスタグラムを通じてコメントを発信。感謝の気持ちと最終戦への想いを綴っている。
「クラブからの発表があった通り、今シーズンをもってバイエルン・ミュンヘンを退団します。このクラブで最高の仲間たちと出会えて、一緒に戦えて本当に幸せでした。ラスト1試合、この大好きな仲間たちと最後に笑えるように自分の全てをかけて闘います」
女子ブンデスリーガは28日に最終節が行われ、首位のバイエルン(勝ち点56)は勝てば2季ぶりの女王返り咲きが決定。対戦相手はすでに降格が決まっている、京川舞を擁するトゥルビネ・ポツダムとなっている。また、引き分け以下でも2位ヴォルフスブルク(勝ち点54)の結果次第では優勝が決定。熊谷にとっての有終の美となるか、非常に大きな注目が集まっている。
なお、同時に退団が発表されたのは、ドイツ女子代表GKラウラ・ベンカルト(30)、クロアチア女子代表FWイヴァナ・ルデリック(31)、フランス女子代表FWエメリーヌ・ローラン(24)の3選手となっている。
