元ドイツ代表MFアンドレ・シュールレ氏の現在の姿が話題だ。
シュールレ氏は、ドイツ代表として57試合に出場し22ゴールを記録したウインガー。2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップでは準決勝で2ゴール、1-0で勝利した決勝ではアシストを記録するなど、優勝に貢献していた。
クラブキャリアではマインツやレバークーゼン、チェルシー、ヴォルフスブルク、ドルトムント、フルアム、スパルタク・モスクワと渡り歩くと、2020年7月に29歳で早々の現役引退を発表していた。
そのシュールレ氏は自身のインスタグラムを更新。大雪が降る雪山をハーフパンツに靴とニット帽という格好で山登りに挑戦する自身の姿をアップした。
イギリス『サン』によると、これは様々な寒冷な環境に関わる記録をもち、「アイスマン (The Iceman)」の通称で知られるであるヴィム・ホフ氏が考案したチャレンジだという。
見ている側も凍えてくるようなチャレンジだが、シュールレ氏は1月に見事にチャレンジをクリアしていた。
シュールレ氏は、「1月にこの山に戻るのが待ちきれない。今年の初めは本当に人生を変える旅だった!この苦闘を乗り越え、この大雪のコンディションで頂上までたどり着けたことは、自分自身に再び挑戦し、あらゆる面でベストを目指して本当に努力するきっかけとなった!頑張ろう」と綴っており、2024年にもこのチャレンジを行うつもりのようだ。
早くにサッカーを離れたシュールレ氏だが、今も充実した人生を送っているようだ。

シュールレは、ドイツ代表として57試合に出場し22ゴールを記録したウインガー。2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップでは準決勝で2ゴール、1-0で勝利した決勝ではアシストを記録するなど、優勝に貢献していた。
クラブキャリアではマインツやレバークーゼン、チェルシー、ヴォルフスブルク、ドルトムント、フルアム、スパルタク・モスクワと渡り歩くと、2020年7月に29歳で早々の現役引退を発表していた。
まだプレー可能だという声も多い中で引退を決断したシュールレだが、それから1年が経ち、幸せに恵まれることとなる。
シュールレの妻であるロシア人モデルのアンナ・シャリポワさんが、自身のインスタグラムを更新。マタニティフォトをアップし「内なる宇宙」とメッセージを綴り、妊娠を報告した。
シュールレ夫妻は2018年に結婚。2019年夏には、娘のカイアちゃんが誕生。今回が2人目の子供となる。
すでに現役を退いているシュールレとしては妻を支え、子供の誕生を迎えるのにしっかりと時間を取れるだけに、引退した喜びをまた感じることになるだろう。

サッカーにおいて、1試合で3得点以上を決めることを表す「ハットトリック」。元々はクリケットで打者を三者連続アウトにすることをそう呼んでいた。(クリケットにおいて打者を連続でアウトにすることは相当難易度が高い)
サッカー選手にとって、「ハットトリック」は実力を証明する功績でもあるが、そう簡単にはお目にかかれない。この企画『HAT-TRICK HEROES』では記憶に残る「ハットトリック」を紹介していく。
今回は、元ドイツ代表FWアンドレ・シュールレ氏がチェルシーで決めたハットトリックだ。

マインツやレバークーゼンで頭角を現し、2014年ブラジルワールドカップ(W杯)では、ドイツ代表の優勝メンバーとなったシュールレ氏は、2013年夏にチェルシーに加入。プレミアリーグでも活躍を見せた。
チェルシーでは、在籍1年半で公式戦65試合に出場し、14ゴールを記録したが、2014年3月1日に行われたプレミアリーグ第28節のフルアム戦では、チェルシーでの唯一となるハットトリックを決めている。
前半を0-0で折り返して迎えた52分、自陣からFWエデン・アザールが放ったロングボールにシュールレが抜け出すと、相手DFとの競り合いを制してそのままボックス内まで侵入。GKとの1対1の場面で落ち着いてシュートを沈め、先制点を挙げる。
続く65分、再びアザールがボールをボックス手前まで運ぶと、右サイドから中央にスライドしてきたシュールレに絶妙のタイミングでスルーパスを出す。ボックス内左に抜け出したシュールレは、ゴール左の位置からファーポストへ正確なシュートを流し込み、追加点をマークした。
直後の69分、今度はロングボールを前線で収めたFWフェルナンド・トーレスからのスルーパスにシュールレが抜け出し、そのままGKと1対1に。このチャンスもしっかりとゴール左にシュートを決め、抜群の決定力を活かした見事なハットトリックを決めた。
試合は、フルアムが1点を返したものの、チェルシーが3-1で逃げ切り、勝利を収めている。

残すところあとわずかとなった2020年。今年は新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大による各リーグの延期や中止、さらには無観客試合など、サッカー界にとっても未曾有の1年となった。
今年も様々な注目すべき出来事が起こった中、今回は「超ワールドサッカー」で人気があったトップニュースを1月～12月まで1カ月ごとにプレイバック。今年のサッカー界を振り返っていく。

シティは今年2月、欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)のクラブ財務管理機関(CFCB)によって、2012〜2016年にかけたスポンサー収入の水増しによるFFP抵触の重大な違反を主張。来季から2年間のUEFA主催大会出場禁止と3000万ユーロ(約36億2000万円)の罰金処分を科されていた。
しかし、この処分に納得がいかないシティはスポーツ仲裁裁判所(CAS)にすぐさま異議申し立て。先月上旬にビデオ会議でCASの審理が行われていた。
7月13日になり、CASの判決が発表。シティは2020-21シーズンのCLに出場することが可能となった。

元ドイツ代表MFアンドレ・シュールレ(当時29)が7月17日、現役引退を発表した。
シュールレは2009年にマインツでプロデビュー後、レバークーゼンで活躍。しかし、その活躍を受けて移籍したチェルシーでは強力なライバルたちの存在もあってレギュラーを奪うには至らず、ヴォルフスブルク、ドルトムントに移籍。その後はレンタルでフルアム、昨年夏に再びレンタルでスパルタク・モスクワに移籍していた。2019-20シーズンはロシアリーグで13試合に出場して1ゴール2アシストを記録していたが、2021年まで残っていたドルトムントとの契約を先日、両者合意により解消していた。

「僕は日本よりも前に5カ国に住んでいた。ただ、文字が違うだけだと思っていたが、そうではなかった。我々の文化とは逆の文化で、人々がとても冷たく閉鎖的な国での暮らし方を理解するのは困難だった」
「彼らはアメリカとの戦闘に負けたことで抑圧されており、国民は熱気と喜びに欠けている」
「どこに行っても、彼らは常に疑いの目で見てくる。僕たちはそれに慣れた。言葉の問題も経験した。誰も英語を話さなかったからとても難しかった」
「良い面は、非の打ち所のないセキュリティと異常なまでの衛生面、しっかりとオーガナイズされていることだ」
名古屋での1年目となった2018シーズンは明治安田生命J1リーグで33試合に出場し24ゴールを記録。Jリーグ挑戦1年目で得点王に輝くも、2019シーズンは32試合で6ゴールと不発。今シーズンはヒザのケガの影響で公式戦に出場していなかった。
契約問題もFIFAが介入するなど、後味の悪い移籍となったジョー。母国へ復帰してから日本へのマイナスイメージを語るのはなんとも残念なことだった。

7月に現役引退を発表した元ドイツ代表MFアンドレ・シュールレが、ドイツ『ビルト』の取材で引退を後悔していないことを主張している。
当時ドルトムントに在籍していたシュールレは、2021年まで契約を残していたにもかかわらず現役引退を決断。以前から引退を示唆するコメントはあったものの、29歳の引退は誰もが驚いた。
引退から3カ月半が経ち、再びメディアに現れたシュールレは、引退を全く後悔していないことを主張。新たな生活に満足していることを話した。
「自分の決断に少しでも疑問を感じたら引退なんてしなかっただろう。それほどサッカーには感謝しても仕切れないんだ」
「(引退に)一点の曇りもなかった。家族とか別の人生とか、自分にとってもっと重要なことがあるという気持ちだけだった」
「まだ現役だった頃は、どこかのクラブにもっと長くいられたんじゃないかと時々考えたことがあった。でも、今はそれが自分の進む道だったと信じている。満足しているよ」
「これで終わりだよ。トレーニングや準備をする必要がなくてハッピーさ。体の全ての繊維がそう言っているよ」

◆チェルシーでの新たな挑戦
バルセロナの下部組織で育ったセスクは、2003年にアーセナルでプロデビュー。世界屈指のMFへと成長を遂げた後、2011年夏に古巣バルセロナに復帰していた。
しかし、安定した出場機会を得られることができなかったセスクは、2014年夏に当時ジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督が2度目の指揮を取っていたチェルシーに引き抜かれる形でプレミアリーグに復帰。古巣アーセナルのライバルクラブへの移籍は賛否を呼んだ。
◆敵を完全に欺く極上のアシスト
そんな中迎えた2014-2015シーズンのプレミアリーグ開幕戦では、セスクと共にスペインのアトレティコ・マドリーからチェルシーに新戦力として加わったFWジエゴ・コスタもデビューを飾っていた。
バーンリーに先制を許したものの、コスタのゴールですぐさま追いつき、1-1で迎えた21分、セスクが世界中のサッカーファンを魅了する極上アシストを見せる。
中盤のパス交換からドリブルで中央を突破したMFオスカルは、サイドに張っていたDFブラニスラフ・イバノビッチにパスを送る。イバノビッチが低めのクロスをボックス手前でフリーになっていたセスクに上げる。
セスクは、ダイレクトシュートの体勢に入り、そのままシュートを放つかと思いきや、柔らかいタッチで、裏に走っていたMFアンドレ・シュールレのランニングコースに完璧なアシストを出す。完全に相手を欺いたパスを受けたシュールレはニアポストで合わせるだけとなり、見事な逆転ゴールが生まれた。
チェルシーは、その後追加点を奪い、3-1で開幕戦に勝利。時を止めるかのようなエレガントなこのアシストは、最も美しいアシストの1つとしてファンの間で語り継がれている。

レバークーゼンのドイツ代表MFカイ・ハフェルツ(21)はすでに将来に関して、1つの決断を下しているのかもしれない。
今季の公式戦43試合に出場して17得点9アシストの数字を収め、今夏の移籍が噂されるハフェルツ。レバークーゼンが移籍金として1億ユーロ(約124億6000万円)を求めるなか、レアル・マドリーら欧州複数クラブの関心が指摘され、熾烈な争奪戦の様相を呈している。
そうしたなか、ハフェルツの指導にあたるピーター・ボス監督がドイツ通信社『DPA』のインタビューに応対。ここにきてチェルシーがポールポジションに立っているとの見方も強まっている若きドイツ人アタッカーの将来について、こう述べた。
「彼のビジネスなのだから、私からとやかく言うつもりはない。カイとは彼の思いを認識するためによく話をする。カイが毎日のように飛び交う移籍の噂にすごくうまく対処している。彼と話をするたびにそう思わされるほどにね」
「彼が(今季限りで現役を引退した元ドイツ代表MFアンドレ・シュールレのように)29歳で辞めるとは思わない。彼が何をしたがっているのか把握しているが、無論、私から言うべきことじゃない。彼次第だ」
「何とも言えない。ひょっとしたら今日か、来週にも決定的な決断が下されるかもしれないし、もしかしたら何もないかもしれない」

元ドイツ代表MFアンドレ・シュールレ(29)が17日、現役引退を発表した。自身のインスタグラムで明かしている。
これまでも現役引退を示唆したことのあるシュールレは今回の決断について｢プロのサッカー選手から一歩離れることをお知らせします。これまでのキャリアにおいてサポートして頂いた全ての人に感謝したいと思います。彼らが私に注いでくれた愛情は信じられないものでした。今後に関しては全ての美しい可能性に対して準備していてオープンな状態です｣とコメント。

シュールレは2009年にマインツでプロデビュー後、レバークーゼンで活躍。しかし、その活躍を受けて移籍したチェルシーでは強力なライバルたちの存在もあってレギュラーを奪うには至らず、ヴォルフスブルク、ドルトムントに移籍。その後はレンタルでフルアム、昨年夏に再びレンタルでスパルタク・モスクワに移籍していた。今季はロシアリーグで13試合に出場して1ゴール2アシストを記録していたが、2021年まで残っていたドルトムントとの契約を先日、両者合意により解消していた。
また、2010年11月にデビューしたドイツ代表では57試合に出場して22ゴールをマーク。2014年ブラジル・ワールドカップでは決勝のアルゼンチン代表戦でMFマリオ・ゲッツェの決勝弾をアシストし、ドイツ代表の優勝に貢献していた。

来季からセリエAに昇格するベネヴェントがモナコからポーランド代表DFカミル・グリク(32)を獲得したようだ。
レアル・マドリーの下部組織にも在籍した経験を持つグリクは、イタリアのパレルモやバーリ、トリノを経て、2016年夏にモナコ入り。空中戦に強いセンターバックとしてだけでなく、主将としてチームを引っ張り、今季リーグ・アン23試合に出場した。
イタリア『スカイ』によれば、ベネヴェントは移籍金300万ユーロ(約3億6000万円)+ボーナスでモナコと合意。今週末にも最終合意が見込まれているという。
元イタリア代表FWのフィリッポ・インザーギ監督が率いるベネヴェントは今季のセリエBを制して、来季から2017-18シーズン以来2度目のセリエA復帰。セリエA通算147試合の出場歴を誇るグリクの加入はベネヴェントにとって、大きな力になりそうだ。
なお、セリエA参戦に向け、経験豊かな選手の獲得に向けた動きが指摘されるベネヴェントはガラタサライを退団した日本代表DF長友佑都や、元フランス代表FWロイク・レミ、元ドイツ代表FWアンドレ・シュールレらに対する関心も取り沙汰されている。
