ロサンゼルス・ギャラクシー(LAギャラクシー)のDF吉田麻也が投稿した娘との親子ショットが話題だ。
8月にメジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のLAギャラクシーへと加入した吉田。新天地ではすぐさま定位置を確保すると公式戦12試合に出場して1ゴール・1アシストを記録。キャプテンマークを巻く試合もあった。
ただ、レギュラーシーズン13位に沈んだLAギャラクシーはプレーオフ進出を逃し、早々にシーズンを終えていた。
吉田は7日から8日にかけて自身のSNSを更新。娘と訪れたロサンゼルスのビーチやユニバーサル・スタジオ・ハリウッドでのオフショットを公開している。
中でも話題になっているのがユニバーサル・スタジオ・ハリウッドでの写真。吉田は娘の顔を隠すため、岡崎慎司(シント=トロイデン)と長友佑都(FC東京)の顔をかぶせるように加工している。

バイエルンのトーマス・トゥヘル監督が茶道を楽しんだ。
7月にジャパンツアーで来日していたバイエルン。日本ではマンチェスタ・シティと川崎フロンターレと対戦。その後シンガポールへと移動してリバプールと戦った後、ドイツへと戻っている。
バイエルンの公式SNSでは試合だけでなく来日中の様子もアップされているが、その中にはトゥヘル監督の茶道体験もあったようだ。
トゥヘル監督は1人で茶道を体験。ドイツから遠く離れた東京での貴重な経験に興味津々の様子で、真剣な表情で作法やお茶のたて方などを学んでいた。
元日本代表FW岡崎慎司や元日本代表MF香川真司も指導した経験のあるトゥヘル監督。サッカー界の中ではかなりの戦術家でありこだわりの強さでも知られるが、茶道には何か感じるものがあったようだ。茶道だけでなく和室やその空間にも感銘を受け、「とても特別な経験をありがとう」と満足気に語っていた。
来日中にも「日本に来れたことは本当に楽しいし、喜んでいる」と語っていたトゥヘル監督。ジャパンツアーはチームだけでなく指揮官にとっても有意義なものとなったようだ。

ウエスカは27日、日本人FW桑原茜(28)が加入することを発表した。桑原はウエスカの女子チームにとって初めての日本人となる。
ウエスカといえば、元日本代表FW岡崎慎司が2020-21シーズンまで所属していたクラブ。クラブ史上2人目の日本人選手となり、ウエスカ・フェメニーノ(女子チーム)にとっての1人目の日本人となる。
桑原は大阪府出身でなでしこリーグ2部のASハリマアルビオンで20015年から2018年までプレー。その後はスペインへと渡り、昨シーズンはレバンテ・ラス・プラナスでプレーした。
そこでは16試合で14ゴールを決め、チーム内得点王に輝く活躍。ウエスカに加入することが決まった。
桑原はクラブを通じて、加入の意気込みを語った。
「こんにちは。今シーズンからウエスカ・フェメニーノでプレーさせていただくことになりました桑原茜です」

7大会連続7度目のワールドカップ(W杯)出場を懸けて、最終予選のラスト2試合を戦う日本代表。24日には出場を争うオーストラリア代表との大一番を控えている。
そんな中、日本サッカー協会(JFA)の公式SNSが2014年のブラジルW杯出場を決めたオーストラリア戦でのMF本田圭佑のPKに再び焦点を当てている。
当時、アルベルト・ザッケローニ監督のもとで5大会連続のW杯出場を目指した日本は、MF本田圭佑、MF香川真司、FW岡崎慎司ら海外組を主軸に、最終予選で4勝1分けと好発進。早くも予選突破に王手をかけると、ヨルダンとのアウェイゲームに敗れるという波乱もあったものの、オーストラリアとのホームゲームに臨む。
試合終盤の82分に失点を許す厳しい展開となったが、後半アディショナルタイムにPKを獲得。そのキッカーを本田が務めた。
ゴールマウスにはオーストラリアの守護神マーク・シュウォーツァー。緊張感の漂うなか、本田は大きく息を吐いてから助走をスタート。左足のPKをど真ん中に蹴り込むと、埼玉スタジアム2002のスタンドからは轟音のような歓声が鳴り響いた。
試合はこのまま1-1の引き分けとなり、日本は開催国ブラジルを除いて最速でのW杯本大会出場を決めていた。
このタイミングで本田のPKシーンをJFAが公開したところ、多くのファンが反応。「最高でした」、「やっぱこのPKを蹴れるってメンタル強すぎだな」、「この瞬間は一生忘れないと思う」、「何度見ても鳥肌立つ 何度見ても感動する」といったコメントが寄せられており、多くの人の記憶に刻まれているようだ。
日本はこのブラジル大会だけでなく、2018年のロシア大会のアジア最終予選でもオーストラリア戦でW杯出場の切符を手にしている。24日の試合で勝利すればその時点でカタールへの切符を手にすることとなるが、この大一番を制することはできるだろうか

Y.S.C.C.横浜の元日本代表FW松井大輔が開放的な開幕告知を行った。
松井は2023シーズンもYS横浜の一員としてプレー。フットサルチームとの二刀流も継続されている。
その松井は17日に自身のインスタグラムを更新。「今日からJ1開幕みんなサッカー見ないと!始まるよ〜注〜もーく」と、全裸でJ1の開幕を告知した。
添えられた写真は、露天風呂で立ち上がってのバックショット。下部をJと1の丸ロゴで隠すという前代未聞の告知パフォーマンスを披露した。
シント=トロイデンのFW岡崎慎司も「体張ってんなー」と苦笑い。ファンからも「なにしてんすか」、「最高です!団ケツ力」、「えっと…、どこを見たらいいのか」、「あ、サッカーに!注目ですね」、「おバカ!でもこういうの好きです」と笑いや困惑など、様々な反応を集めた。
松井が体を張って告知した今季のJ1開幕戦、川崎フロンターレvs横浜F・マリノスでは、風呂にゆかりのある川崎Fが入場路に暖簾や番台を設置。ゲストの天童よしみさんを番頭に見立てるなどの施策を行っており、松井の告知も関連性がないこともない。
なお、J3の開幕節は3月4日と5日にかけて開催され、松井の所属するYS横浜はホームでカターレ富山と対戦する。
