ウェストハムのなでしこジャパンDF清水梨紗は、早くも信頼を得られているようだ。22日、自身のインスタグラムを更新し、デビュー戦の様子を公開した。
FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)は開幕節が延期となった影響で、第2節が初戦となった。ウェストハムは18日にホームでエバートンと対戦。コーチから昇格したポール・コンチェスキ新監督のもと[4-2-3-1]を採用し、清水は右サイドバック、同じく新加入のMF林穂之香はトップ下で先発起用された。
試合は前半終了間際にスコットランド女子代表FWリサ・エバンスが挙げたゴールで、1-0とウェストハムが勝利。新天地デビューを飾った清水は上々のパフォーマンスを披露し、終盤には左サイドバックに回るなど、押し込まれる時間もあった中でクリーンシートでの勝利に貢献した。
SNSでは「Opening game」との簡潔なメッセージに加え、チームメイトと喜び抱き合う姿などを公開。国内外のファンから「清水選手頑張って」、「リサはすごかった。ノンストップランニング」、「りーちゃん3番似合ってる」、「手がw」、「3番も似合ってるね。応援してます」などのエールが寄せられている。
「DAZN」が放映権を獲得するなど、注目度が増しているFAWSL。ウェストハムは次節、25日にマンチェスター・ユナイテッドと対戦する。この試合は残念ながら「DAZN」の配信スケジュールに組み込まれていないが、日本でも「FA Player」から視聴が可能。清水や林の活躍をチェックすることができる。
