かつて日本を苦しめたアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガンが新規参入チームへ電撃移籍「スタートが待ちきれない」

ナショナル・ウーマンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)に2022年から参戦するサンディエゴ・ウェーブは13日、アメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガン(32)の加入を発表した。モーガンは言わずと知れたアメリカ女子代表のエース。現在はオーランド・プライドに所属していたが、新シーズンからサンディエゴ・ウェーブへと活躍の場を移すこととなった。 2010年からアメリカ女子代表としてプレーし、2011年の女子ワールドカップ(W杯)で準優勝。アメリカの最年少選手として準決勝のフランス女子代表戦で初ゴールを決めている。これまで代表では190試合に出場し115ゴールを記録。2015年、2019年の女子W杯制覇や2012年のロンドン・オリンピックでの金メダルなど輝かしい実績を残している。今年行われた東京オリンピックには、母親として参加。チームの銅メダル獲得に貢献していた。サンディエゴ・ウェーブは、モーガンの故郷でもあるカリフォルニア州を本拠地としている。また、2019年までアメリカ女子代表監督を務めた、ジル・エリス氏が会長を務めるクラブであり、新規参入時の有力選手としてチームに加わることとなった。モーガンはクラブを通じて、新チームへの加入に向けてコメントしている。「南カリフォルニア出身の私としては、ウェーブFCとサンディエゴの街に長期的にコミットできることに興奮しています」「私はこの野心的な新しいクラブと提携し、何世代にもわたるサッカー選手のためにリーグを前進させるために家に帰ります。スタートが待ちきれません。この素晴らしい街にチャンピオンシップをもたらすためにできる限りのことをします」 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真&動画】新天地移籍が決まったアレックス・モーガン</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <blockquote class="instagram-media" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink="https://www.instagram.com/p/CXb_u4kvZJO/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading" data-instgrm-version="14" style=" background:#FFF;
