レアル・ソシエダがドイツ代表DFマッツ・フンメルス(35)の獲得を考慮しているようだ。
昨シーズンまでディフェンスラインの主軸を担ったスペイン代表DFロビン・ル・ノルマンのアトレティコ・マドリー移籍に伴い、センターバックの補強が優先事項となっているラ・レアル。
ただ、先日にヨキン・アペリバイ会長は「センターバックを獲得するならば、ジョン・マルティンの成長に寄り添い、その成長について考えることになる。彼はラ・レアルの将来にとって重要なプレーヤーだ」と、カンテラに在籍する18歳の逸材DFの抜擢を明言し、その成長を妨げずに経験を与えられるようなベテラン選手の獲得の可能性を示唆している。
同会長の発言を受け、スペイン『Diario de Gipuzkoa』は理想的な補強候補としてフンメルスの名前を挙げ、クラブが獲得に動く可能性を報じている。
昨シーズン限りでドルトムントを退団し、新天地を探すフンメルスは、世界中のクラブから関心が寄せられ、ここまではセリエA、新指揮官と個人的な繋がりがあるブライトンといったクラブへの移籍の可能性が関連付けられている。
ただ、いずれの交渉にも進展は見られず、スペイン行きの可能性も残されている。
なお、先日にマジョルカ行きが取り沙汰された際、すぐさまその可能性を否定したフンメルスだが、マジョルカ島に家を持ち語学学校に通ってスペイン語を学んでおり、チームのプレースタイルと共にソシエダへの適応はスムーズに行くはずだ。
数年前にはマンチェスター・シティの元スペイン代表MFダビド・シルバを獲得し、百戦錬磨の司令塔によってチーム全体のレベルが引き上げられたラ・レアルだが、今度はフンメルスというワールドクラスの守備者を迎え入れ、前述のマルティンら伸びしろ豊かな若手の成長を促すと共に即戦力を手にできるか。

レアル・ソシエダの日本代表MF久保建英が素晴らしい対応をした。スペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』が伝えている。
ラ・リーガで4位につけるソシエダで中心としてプレーする久保。2月は元スペイン代表MFダビド・シルバが負傷したこともありより攻撃の中心としてプレーすると、ラ・リーガ4試合を戦い、1ゴール2アシストを記録。試合連続でマン・オブ・ザ・マッチ(MOTM)にも選出され、2月の月間MVPに選ばれた。
7日には、久保の月間MVP選出を記念して地元のスーパーでサイン会を開催。スーパーの前には優に100～200人は超える長蛇の列ができ話題となった。
また、このイベントでは当選した人に100ユーロ(約14500円)と久保のサイン入りユニフォームが贈られることになっていた。
当選者が発表された午後6時半にはドアの外まで大行列になっていたようで、『ムンド・デポルティボ』によると写真は撮らないようにとも言われていたようだが、「子供にノーとは言えなかった」という久保は律儀にファンサービス。写真撮影にも応じていた。

今シーズンからソシエダでプレーする久保。ここまでラ・リーガで21試合に出場し4ゴール3アシストを記録している。
数字に残らないプレーでもチームの勝利に貢献し、高いパフォーマンスを出し続けている久保。ラ・リーガの日本語公式ツイッターがインタビュー映像を公開した。
サッカーのことなどについて普段話をする久保だが、このインタビューではプライベートについても言及している。
今ハマっているアーティストについては、「back number、そしてあいみょんです」とコメント。「今までコンサートに行ったことはなかったんですが、去年の夏に両方のコンサートに行って、それからファンになりました」とコメントした。
これには「あいみょん好きとは!」、「ライブにマジで行ったの?」、「そうだったのか!」、「なんだか嬉しいぞ」、「これは初耳」と驚きの声をあげている。
また、好きな日本のテレビ番組について聞かれ「笑わせてくれる番組は好きです」と回答。「今好きなのは、英語で「Monday Late Show(月曜から夜ふかし)、日本のバラエティ番組です。夜の街頭インタビューが面白くて笑えます」とコメント。日本テレビ系で放送されており、関ジャニ∞の村上信五とマツコデラックスがMCを務める番組がお気に入りという。
これには「センス良い!」、「ちょっと親近感湧く」、「同じ感性してたん嬉しい」と、同じく番組を好んで見ているファンから好感を得ていた。
意外な一面を見せた久保。親近感が湧くことで、より興味を持たれる可能性は高く、今後もピッチの上での活躍が期待される。

8日、『ドラゴンボール』や『Dr.スランプ』などを生み出した漫画家の鳥山明さんが、2024年3月1日に急性硬膜下血腫のため亡くなっていたことが発表された。
日本はもちろんのこと、世界中でも多くのファンを持ち、日本の漫画やアニメの文化が世界中に広がるきっかけとなった作品とも言われるのが『ドラゴンボール』。1984年から『週刊少年ジャンプ』で連載がスタートすると、アニメ化されて人気が拡大した。
海外でもファンが多い中、サッカー選手の中にも『ドラゴンボール』が好きな選手は多い。
マルセイユのガボン代表FWピエール=エメリク・オーバメヤンはインスタグラムのストーリーズで追悼。サンフレッチェ広島のマルコス・ジュニオールは鳥山さんの写真をストーリーズに投稿し、追悼した。
また、セリエAの公式X(旧ツイッター)は悟空の胴着を着た写真と共に「サッカーとドラゴンボールで育った人たちへ」と投稿。ブラジルのサントスは「鳥山明さん、安らかに。お悔やみ申し上げます」と孫悟空の画像と共に投稿し、追悼した。
グレミオはユニフォームを着た孫悟空の写真と共に「ドラゴンボールの作者、鳥山明さんが1日に逝去しました。彼は全世代を魅了し、彼の芸術を通じてグレミオが常に守ってきた逞しさと団結への価値観を伝えてくれました。あなたを包む空は輝いている。安らかにお休みください」と追悼した。
パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)のファンなどはコレオグラフィーも出したことがあるリーグ・アンも「ありがとう、鳥山明さん」としてコレオグラフィーの写真と共に追悼。セビージャは『ドラゴンボール』に出てくるフュージョンのポーズをとるルーカス・オカンポスとスソの写真と共に追悼した。
その他にもドルトムント、ミラン、ユベントス、バレンシア、レアル・ソシエダ、レアル・ベティス、フラメンゴ、インデペンディエンテ、ビジャレアルなど多くのクラブも追悼。カリアリに至っては、トリノ戦のメンバーリストを『ドラゴンボール』仕様にして投稿し追悼。アスレティック・ビルバオは、ニコ・ウィリアムズとイニャキ・ウィリアムズの兄弟がフュージョンポーズをとってオマージュし、追悼。ラ・リーガも2人が試合中のパフォーマンスで行った動画を投稿していた。
改めて鳥山明さんの偉大さがわかる今回の各方面からの反応。世界中の人々に多くの感動と勇気を与えていたことが改めて感じられることとなった。

今シーズンの開幕前に重傷を負い、そのまま現役を引退した元スペイン代表MFダビド・シルバが来日中で話題を呼んでいる。
バレンシアでキャリアをスタートさせ、マンチェスター・シティでは10シーズンを過ごし、数々のタイトル獲得に貢献。2020年夏からは母国のレアル・ソシエダでプレーしていたダビド・シルバ。2022-23シーズンは日本代表MF久保建英ともチームメイトとして戦い、チームの躍進を支えていた。
今シーズンも活躍が期待されていたなか、シーズン開幕を目前に控えた7月に左ヒザを負傷。トレーニング中の出来事だったが、前十字靭帯の断裂が判明し引退を決断した。
スペイン代表としても南アフリカ・ワールドカップでの優勝や、ユーロ2008、2012での連覇に貢献するなど活躍したスター選手。まさかの来日していることが判明した。
シルバは自身のインスタグラムを更新。東京滞在時の様子をアップすると、浅草や寿司を堪能。ホビーショップである「TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO」も訪れていた。
そのシルバは大阪にも移動。道頓堀などの写真とともに、一緒に写っていたのはバレンシアユース時代からの同僚で、FC岐阜や徳島ヴォルティス、愛媛FCでもプレーした徳島のアシスタントコーチであるシシーニョ。また、岐阜でプレーしていた小野裕斗も一緒に写っていた。
また、東京ヴェルディや名古屋グランパス、FC岐阜でプレーした高木義成さんもシシーニョとシルバと会っていたことをXで報告していた。
シルバの投稿には久保も反応し「気に入ってくれると嬉しい」と日本を楽しんでもらいたいとコメント。ファンは「レジェンド来た」、「マジで来てるのか!」、「一目でいいから会いたい」、「日本を楽しんで」とコメントしている。
ヴィッセル神戸にはスペイン代表やバレンシアで同僚だったフアン・マタも所属。また、シルバの母親は日系人ということもあり、少なからず日本にゆかりがあるだけに、しっかりと楽しんでいってもらいたいところだ。
