セルティックの日本代表FW古橋亨梧(29)の移籍の噂はイギリスで話題を呼んでいる。
セルティックのエースとして今シーズンもスコティッシュ・プレミアシップの3連覇とリーグカップの獲得に貢献した古橋。そんな中、電撃的に浮上したのがJリーグ復帰だ。
このところは日本代表からも遠ざかっている古橋だが、突如として浮上したのが浦和レッズへの移籍の噂。イギリス『デイリー・メール』も大きく取り上げた。
『デイリー・メール』は浦和について「日本で最も裕福なクラブである浦和は、選手獲得のために現在のJリーグの移籍記録を破るつもりがある」と報道。多額の移籍金を支払って古橋の獲得に動く可能性を伝えている。
セルティックではこれまで133試合で73ゴールを記録する古橋。2027年夏まで残り3年間の契約が残っており、移籍金も安くはない。
『デイリー・メール』によればJリーグの移籍最高額は1000万ポンド(約20億円)だが、古橋を獲得するとなれば遥かに上回る金額が必要だとした。
アンジェ・ポステコグルー監督の下での輝きは、ブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督の下では出せなかった古橋。ただ、セルティックに売却する意思もなく、古橋自身が移籍を望んでいるという話もない。
ただ、1000万ポンドを遥かに超える金額を提示されるのであれば、セルティックは売却する可能性もあるとしている。なお、古橋は450万ポンド(約9億円)で加入しており、大きな利益を得ることになる。

セルティックは29日、2024-25シーズンのホームユニフォームを発表した。
2023-24シーズンはスコティッシュ・プレミアシップで3連覇を達成。また、スコティッシュカップもレンジャーズとの決勝を制し、国内2冠を達成した。
日本代表FW古橋亨梧やFW前田大然、MF旗手怜央、そしてMF岩田智輝、DF小林友希が所属するクラブ。日本でも注目される中、アディダスとセルティックが新ユニフォームを発表した。
新ユニフォームはホワイトをベースに、クラブカラーのグリーンのボーダーというシンプルな作り。その中で、首周りにはクラブと選手、ファンの団結を示す「ケルトノット(ケルトの組み紐文様)」が施されている。
ファンは「上品な仕上がりだ」、「これは好きだな」、「好きじゃない。愛してる!」、「美しい仕上がり」とコメントを寄せている。
それ以上に話題なのがモデルに起用された古橋。一部では今夏の移籍が噂され、浦和レッズ移籍という話も出ている。
その古橋は新ユニフォームのモデルに採用されており、基本的には残留する可能性が高いが、ファンは「これは来シーズンも着るということだな?」、「このユニフォームでプレーするはずだ」、「彼は売り物ではない」、「彼との契約を早く発表してくれ」とコメントされている。
ブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督の下、今シーズンはこれまでのシーズンよりは苦しんだ古橋。それでもクラブ最多の公式戦19ゴールを記録するなど衰えは見せていない。
契約も2027年夏まで残っている状況。浦和が仮に獲得するとなれば、多額の移籍金も設定されそうだが、果たして…。

スコティッシュカップ決勝のセルティックvsレンジャーズが25日にハムデン・パークで行われ、1-0でセルティックが勝利。この結果、セルティックが2年連続42度目のスコティッシュカップ優勝を飾った。
大会連覇を狙うセルティックと、2大会ぶり34度目の優勝を目指すレンジャーズの“オールドファーム”による決勝戦。
スコティッシュ・プレミアシップの3連覇を達成し国内2冠を目指すセルティックは、FW古橋亨梧、FW前田大然、MF旗手怜央がスタメン入り、MF岩田智輝はベンチスタートとなり、DF小林友希はベンチ外となった。
試合は一進一退の展開が続くなか、セルティックは24分にテイラーの左クロスをボックス内の古橋がダイビングヘッドで合わせると、これがDFベン・デイビスの右手に当たったが、主審はノーハンドと判定しPKは与えられず。
ゴールレスで迎えた後半、先に決定機を創出したのはレンジャーズ。60分、タヴァーニアの左CKをゴール右手前のシマが押し込んだが、VARの末にゴール前で競り合ったスターリングのGKハートに対するファウルを取り、このゴールは取り消された。
VARに救われたセルティックは、62分に古橋を下げてイダーを、78分に旗手を下げてベルナルドを投入するが、その後も拮抗した展開が続く。
このまま後半終了かと思われたが、セルティックは試合終盤にスコアを動かす。90分、ドリブルで中央を持ち上がったベルナルドがバイタルエリア中央からミドルシュート。これはGKバトランドが弾いたが、こぼれ球をイダーが右足でゴールに流し込んだ。
結局、これが決勝点となり、1-0でタイムアップ。イダーの決勝点で宿敵レンジャーズを下したセルティックが、2年連続42度目のスコティッシュカップ制覇を達成した。

セルティックは18日、セルティック・パークで行われたスコティッシュ・プレミアシップ最終節でセント・ミレンと対戦し、3-2で逆転勝利した。
前節、FW前田大然の1ゴール1アシストの活躍によってキルマーノックに5-0の圧勝を収め、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップ3連覇を成し遂げたセルティック。その王者はセルティック・パークで今季最後のリーグ戦に臨んだ。
この試合ではFW古橋亨梧とMF旗手怜央がスタメン。前田とDF岩田智輝はベンチスタートとなり、DF小林友希はベンチ外となった。
お祝いムード一色のランチタイムキックオフの今季最終戦。その緩みが出たか、セルティックは開始早々に失点を喫する。7分、ボックス内での混戦からルーズボールに反応したオハラに右足シュートを蹴り込まれた。
優勝を決めているとはいえ、ホーム最終戦で負けられないフープスはすぐさま反撃を開始。ボールを握って押し込むと、21分にはボックス中央に抜け出した古橋がDFを背にして粘ると、相手の短いクリアに反応したオライリーが鋭い左足シュートをゴール左隅に突き刺した。
この同点直後にはウェルシュのボックス内でのファウルでPKを与えると、これをキッカーのオハラに右上隅へ蹴り込まれてビハインドを背負うが、日本人コンビの鮮やかな連携から再びの同点ゴールが生まれる。
37分、相手陣内右サイドで古橋の粘りの守備から旗手が縦に抜け出して低弾道の絶妙なクロスを入れると、ゴール前に走り込んだ古橋が見事な左足ダイレクトシュートでニア下を破り、3試合ぶりとなる今季リーグ戦14点目とした。
このゴールで勢いづく古橋は直後にも右サイドで背後を取ってピンポイントクロスをゴール前に供給するが、パルマがヘディングシュートを枠に飛ばせずにアシスト未遂に。さらに、前半終了間際には後方からのフィードに反応した旗手がボックス内でボレーシュートを試みるが、これは枠を捉え切れなかった。
2-2のイーブンで折り返した後半。開始直後は押し込んで古橋らのシュートで3点目に迫ったセルティックだったが、時間の経過と共に押し返されてしまう。
この展開を受け、ロジャーズ監督はウェルシュが左ヒジを痛めた流れで3枚替えを敢行。古橋と旗手を下げてイダー、岩田をピッチに送り出した。
後半半ばから終盤にかけて試合は膠着状態に陥るが、王者が土壇場で勝ち越しゴールを奪う。86分、押し込んだ流れから右サイドでタイミング良くオーバーラップしたラルストンがディフェンスラインとGKの間にピンポイントクロスを供給。これをファーに飛び込んだパルマがワンタッチで押し込んだ。
この直後にロジャーズ監督は、これが現役最後のリーグ戦となる守護神ハートに花道を作るべく最後の交代カードを切ると、元イングランド代表GKに対してホームサポーターから惜しみないスタンディングオベーションが送られた。
そして、試合はこの直後にタイムアップを迎え、王者セルティックが3-2の逆転勝利で有終の美を飾った。なお、セルティックは25日にレンジャーズとのスコティッシュカップ決勝で今季を終えることになる。

セルティックの日本代表FW前田大然が3度目のリーグ優勝を受けて、サポーターに呼び掛けている。
15日、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップのトップ6によるプレーオフ第5節が行われ、セルティックはアウェイでキルマーノックと対戦した。
この試合では、前田は左ウイングで先発出場すると、12分にクロスに飛び込んで2点目を奪うと、ジェームズ・フォレストのゴールもアシスト。チームは0-5で圧勝し、3連覇を達成。54度目のリーグ優勝を果たした。
結果を残してチームの優勝に貢献した前田。自身も3連覇を経験することとなり、優勝後のセレモニーでも喜びを露わにしていた。
その前田は自身のX(旧ツイッター/@M_daizen_1020)にピッチ上での記念撮影の写真をアップ。旗手怜央、岩田智輝との3ショットの写真と、昨シーズンの古橋亨梧、小林友希も写った日本人5人のショットをアップ。「Is it better to have hair or not?(髪があるのとないの、どっちがいいんだい?)」と投げかけた。
前田は愛する娘の要望により、今年に入ってから髪を伸ばし始めており、これまでのスキンヘッドとは見違える状態に。今は金色に染めた短髪という状況だ。
やや見慣れた感もあるが、スキンヘッドのイメージも強い前田。ファンは「選べない」、「どっちも好きだけど坊主かな」、「髪有りに一票」、「髪の生えたダイゼンはセルティックに必要だ」、「尾どっちでもイケメンなんだよな」、「どっちも似合うのよ」とどちらも選び難い意見が多い。
中には「娘ちゃん次第だな」と、髪を伸ばすことを求めた娘の意見が大事だというコメントも。南野拓実(モナコ)の長さまで娘は求めていたというが、前田はどうしていくのか注目だ。
