スポルティングCPの日本代表MF守田英正(29)がクラブと契約更新するようだ。ポルトガル『O JOGO』が伝えた。
2022-23シーズンからスポルティングでプレーする守田。2年目を迎えた今シーズンは、プリメイラ・リーガでチームは強さを発揮。守田もリーグ戦29試合で2ゴール4アシストを記録し、3年ぶりの優勝に貢献した。
スポルティングの中盤に欠かせない存在となっている守田。クラブとの契約は2026年夏までとなっているが、早々に契約更新をする可能性が高いという。
『O JOGO』によれば、フレデリコ・ヴァランダス会長は、ルベン・アモリム監督からのゴーサインが出された後、選手たちとの合意に動くとのこと。守田、そしてDFエドゥアルド・クアレスマとの契約延長を果たすという。
守田は4500万ユーロ(約76億4000万円)の契約解除金が設定されている状況だが、さらに2シーズンの契約を延長するとのこと。クアレスマに関しては、2025年夏までの契約となっており、3年は延長すると見られている。
厚い信頼を得ている守田。アモリム監督も続投することになることが濃厚であり、来シーズンはより一層、中心選手としての活躍が期待されることになりそうだ。

リバプールの日本代表MF遠藤航。プレミアリーグ最終戦後の子供たちの様子が話題を呼んでいる。
今シーズンはシュツットガルトでスタートした遠藤だったが、開幕直後にリバプールへと電撃移籍。ボランチの補強で後手を踏み続けたリバプールが急遽獲得した日本人には、懐疑的な目が向けられ続けた。
しかし、途中出場が続いた中でもピッチ上でユルゲン・クロップ監督の信頼を勝ち得ると、レギュラーに定着。プレミアリーグ29試合に出場し1ゴールを記録。公式戦では43試合で2ゴール1アシストを記録した。
クロップ監督のラストマッチとなったウォルバーハンプトン戦もフル出場した遠藤。試合後にはアンフィールドのピッチでセレモニーが行われ、家族もピッチに登場した。
その遠藤の家族の姿が話題に。『SPORT Bible』がインスタグラムアカウントに遠藤と4人の子供たちの写真をアップした。
遠藤を先頭にピッチを歩いている子供たち。全員がリバプールのフルキットを身につけているが、しっかりと父の後を整列して歩いている。
『SPORT Bible』は「リバプールファンは、アンフィールドでのシーズン終了セレモニー中、遠藤航の子供たちがどれほど礼儀正しく、組織的だったかに注目せずにはいられなかった」としている。
1人のファンは「彼の子供はまるで母鶏のように彼の後をついていく」とし、隊列を組んでいる様子に注目していた。

ポルトガルでのタイトル獲得を胸にスポルティングに加入した守田にとっては、非常に嬉しいタイトルに。自身のインスタグラムでもチームメイトと祝福し合う様子などをアップしていた。
そんな中、リーグ戦が全て終了。今シーズンは、タッサ・デ・ポルトガルの決勝がまだ残っているが、改めてリーグ優勝を振り返る投稿をしたなかで、「家族がすべて。」と、娘と妻との写真をアップした。
守田はピッチをかけて守田の元に駆け寄っていく娘の動画を投稿。また、妻であるモデルの藤阪れいなさんとの3ショットもアップ。これには大きな反響が寄せられている。

ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンの日本代表MF三笘薫が、今シーズンを振り返った。
19日にプレミアリーグ最終節が行われ、ブライトンはホームでマンチェスター・ユナイテッドと対戦。腰の負傷の影響で三笘は最終節もプレーせず、13試合連続でのメンバー外でシーズンを終えた。
今シーズンはシーズン序盤からゴールやアシストでチームに貢献していたが、ケガに悩まされるシーズンに。アジアカップや北中米ワールドカップ予選など、日本代表の活動にも満足に参加できないでいると、プレミアリーグで19試合に出場し3ゴール4アシスト。ヨーロッパリーグ(EL)でも6試合の出場に終わり、悔しいシーズンとなった。
最終節では今シーズン限りで退任するロベルト・デ・ゼルビ監督とハグでお別れ。また、クラブ内でのシーズンのベストゴール賞受賞には「投票ありがとうございました。来シーズンはもっと良いプレーを見せます」とインタビューに応じていた。
その三笘は20日に27歳のバースデー。自身のインスタグラムでシーズンを振り返ると共に、妻であり陸上選手として活躍する剱持クリアさんとの初の2ショットを自ら公開した。

リバプールの日本代表MF遠藤航が高い評価を受けている。
19日、プレミアリーグ最終節が行われ、リバプールはホームにウォルバーハンプトンを迎えた。
リーグ優勝の可能性がなくなった中、ユルゲン・クロップ監督のラストマッチとなった一戦。遠藤はこの試合でもアンカーで起用され、フル出場を果たした。
攻守に渡って安定したプレーを見せ、しっかりとセカンドボールも回収。40分には、ボックス手前からのグラウンダーのミドルシュートを放つも、GKジョゼ・サにセーブされてしまった。
遠藤にはイギリス『リバプール・エコー』は7点(10点満点)の評価。中盤で影響力があったとした。
