【プレミアリーグ開幕戦プレビュー】ユナイテッドとチェルシーが激突! 開幕戦はリバプールvsノリッジ

日本時間本日9日28時から、2019-20シーズンのプレミアリーグが開幕する。昨シーズンはリバプールが勝ち点「97」を獲得しながらも、シティがその上をいく強さを見せ2連覇を達成した。今季もこの2チームがリーグを牽引することが予想される中、開幕戦ではその対抗馬となりうるマンチェスター・ユナイテッドとチェルシーがいきなり激突する。

レスター・シティからマグワイア、クリスタル・パレスからワン=ビサカを獲得したユナイテッドは一方で、アンデル・エレーラとルカクを放出。攻撃よりも守備に重点を置いた夏を過ごした。昨シーズンの失意の6位から巻き返しを図るユナイテッド。プレミアリーグでの開幕戦の成績は19勝6分け1敗とすこぶる良く、就任2季目に入り、真価が問われるスールシャール監督にとってポジティブな数字だ。

対するチェルシーは、新指揮官に就任したランパード監督のプレミア初采配となる。補強禁止処分という、ランパード監督にとっていきなりタフなシーズンが予想されるが、冬の間に移籍を完了させていたプリシッチの到着や、コバチッチを買い取りできたことがせめてもの救いとなりそうだ。しかし、一方で移籍市場最終日にダビド・ルイスをアーセナルに放出。期待と不安が入り混じる中、初戦ユナイテッド戦の正念場を乗り切れるか。

開幕戦を戦うことになったのが昨季のプレミア2位でチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)王者のリバプールだ。舞台は40試合無敗のアンフィールド。対戦相手のノリッジにとっては、昇格早々厳しい一戦になりそうだ。両者が最後に戦ったのは2016年1月。ノリッジのホームで行われたその試合は5-4でリバプールが制している。

王者シティはアウェイでウェストハムと対戦。王者はこの夏、ロドリやアンヘリーニョ、カンセロらを獲得し、弱点となりうるポイントを的確に押さえた。プレミアリーグ史上2度目の3連覇を目指す今季、ここで勝てばチェルシーが02-03シーズンから10-11シーズンにかけて記録した開幕戦連勝記録に並ぶことになる。

昨季4位のスパーズは4年ぶりに昇格したアストン・ビラと戦う。開幕戦で昇格組と戦うのはこれで6度目だが、過去5試合の成績は4勝1敗。07-08シーズンにサンダーランドに敗れている。また、両者の対戦はここまでスパーズの13勝3分け1敗。アストン・ビラの勝利は2015年4月まで遡る。今夏、1年半ぶりの補強をしたスパーズ。エンドンベレやセセニョン、ロ・セルソなど実力者を獲得し戦力アップに成功している。

アーセナルの初戦は武藤嘉紀所属のニューカッスル。ニューカッスルには過去13試合で12勝を上げており、開幕ブーストをかけるには絶好の相手。ニコラ・ペペやティアニー、ダビド・ルイスなど楽しみな選手が加わり、2年目のエメリ監督がどう融合させていくのか注目だ。

「美しいユニフォーム」「これは好き」ドルトムントが本拠地の50周年を祝った特別ユニフォームを発表! 喜ぶファンからは悲鳴も「何枚買わせるつもりだ」

「相手に恐怖を与える赤」ストイコビッチ監督率いるセルビアがユーロ用のユニフォームを発表!アウェイは「大会で最も優れたデザインの 1 つ」

「有刺鉄線?」珍しいストライプには困惑も?前回大会8強のスイスがユーロ用の新ユニフォームを発表

チェコ代表がユーロ用の新ユニフォームを発表!アウェイは史上最強と名高い2004年のデザインをイメージ
