試合開始前には、チケットを持たないコロンビア代表ファンが殺到した影響で混乱を招き、キックオフが1時間以上も遅延。さらに、ハーフタイムではシャキーラさんのパフォーマンスがあり、通常以上に時間が取られるなど、イレギュラーな試合となった。

アルゼンチン守護神が敗戦後に中継カメラマンを平手打ち…コロンビア記者協会はFIFAに出場停止求める
