レアル・マドリーのドイツ代表DFアントニオ・リュディガーは、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)で得る報酬を自身のルーツがあるシエラレオネの子供たちのために寄付することを決断した。
カタールW杯で日本代表、スペイン代表、コスタリカ代表と同じグループEに入るドイツ。リュディガーはそのドイツのディフェンスラインを牽引する一人だ。
ドイツ人の父とシエラレオネ人の母の下、ベルリンで生まれ育った29歳は、母の出身地であるシエラレオネと強い結びつきを持っており、今回のW杯では自身が得る報酬を寄付することを決断した。
リュディガーは母親のリリーさんが住んでいるシエラレオネのルーンサルに慈善団体を持っており、今回のW杯後にはその慈善団体を通じて先天性疾患である内反足の11人の子供たちの手術費用を寄付するという。
リュディガーはスペイン『マルカ』で今回の決断を説明している。
「ドイツではシエラレオネで不遇を味わった多くの人々がチャンスを与えられてきた。僕はこれらのチャンスに感謝しているし、自分が特権的な立場にあることにとても感謝している。ここで支援できることは、自分にとっても名誉なことなんだ。今後も家族とともに、シエラレオネでさらに多くのプロジェクトを実施したいと考えているよ」

ドイツ代表がメンバー変更…F・エンメチャ辞退で28歳MFプロメルが初招集【国際親善試合】
ドイツサッカー協会(DFB)は13日、ドイツ代表メンバーの変更を発表した。 ユーロ2024開催国のドイツは今回のインターナショナルマッチウィークで18日にホームでトルコ代表と、21日にアウェイでオーストリア代表と親善試合を戦う。 10日に発表された代表メンバーでは、ドルトムントのMFフェリックス・エンメチャが招集されていたが、股関節の軽度の負傷によって辞退が決定。 これを受け、ホッフェンハイムの28歳MFグリシャ・プロメルが追加招集でA代表初招集となった。 ウニオン・ベルリンで台頭したセントラルMFのプロメルは、昨年夏に古巣であるホッフェンハイムに帰還。今シーズンここまではブンデスリーガ全11試合に出場し、安定したパフォーマンスを披露している。 2023.11.13 22:25 Mon

ドイツ代表に激震、77年続いたアディダスとの契約終了…2027年からはナイキに

シリア代表変更のダフードに問題…ミャンマー戦直前にチームキャンプを離脱
ドイツからシリアへの代表変更を決断したMFマハムド・ダフードに問題が生じた模様だ。 現在、ブライトンからのレンタル移籍によってシュツットガルトでプレーするダフード。シリア生まれもドイツで育った技巧派のセントラルMFは、これまでドイツの世代別代表でプレーし、2020年にはA代表で国際親善試合2試合に出場していた。 しかし、長らくディー・マンシャフトでプレー機会がなかった中、先日に以前からラブコールを受けていたシリアへの鞍替えを決断していた。 そのダフードは今回のインターナショナルマッチウィークで初招集を受け、26日に行われる2026北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選のミャンマー代表戦でのデビューも期待されていた。 しかし、シリアサッカー協会(SFA)は26日、ミャンマー戦のキックオフまで数時間という状況において、同選手がチームキャンプから離脱したことを明かした。 「マハムド・ダフードは代理人から伝えられた要求に我々が応じられなかったため、今朝、サウジアラビアのアル・コバールでの代表チームキャンプを出発した。これは代表チームに影響を与えるだろう」 なお、SFAはこの一件に関する詳細は今後改めて発表するとしているが、ダフードのシリア代表での将来が懸念されるところだ。 2024.03.27 07:00 Wed
