イングランドのアマチュア・リーグであるノン・リーグで、すこぶる強肩のサッカー選手が発見された。

エセックス州のシニアリーグに属するサフラン・ウォルデン・タウンFC。そこでプレーするギャビン・コックマンのスローインが注目を集めている。

敵陣深い位置でのスローインを得ると、コックマンは大きく体をそらして渾身の一投。まったく助走を取っていないにもかかわらず、ライナー性の弾道がゴールエリア内まで到達した。

広背筋の躍動を感じる投擲には閲覧者も大爆笑。足が若干浮いているように見えることから「ファウルスローでは?」との指摘もあったが、本人は「スローで見てね。(失敗している動画は)昔のだよ」と笑顔で返している。

仙台の守護神・林彰洋が自転車と接触事故…右折時に接触、相手は軽い打撲と診断

ベガルタ仙台は17日、GK林彰洋が交通事故を起こしたことを発表した。事故が発生したのは16日(木)の8時30分ごろ。仙台市泉区で、林が運転する車両が丁字路を右折しようとした際、右側から来た自転車に接触したという。事故発生後、速やかに警察、関係各所に連絡し、対応を行なっ他とのこと。また、自転車の運転手は病院で検査を受け、軽度の打撲と診断され、クラブは今後の経過確認など、引き続き誠心誠意、対応していくという。なお、林にケガはなかった。クラブは林に対し、「厳重注意」を行なっているとのこと。また、今後の再発防止に向け、クラブ全体で安全運転の取り組みを徹底するという。林は今シーズンの明治安田J2リーグで15試合に出場し、正守護神としてプレーしている。 2024.05.17 11:11 Fri

プレミアリーグがVAR廃止に関してクラブ投票へ、技術の意味をなさないVARの誤審頻発にウルブスが訴え

現代サッカーにおいて試合の結果に大きな影響を与えることが多いVAR(ビデオ・アシスタント・レフェリー)。これまで見逃されていたが重大なファウルやオフサイド、ハンドのジャッジミスなどがなくなり、勝敗にも影響を少なからず与えている。世界中の多くのリーグで導入され、国際大会でもほとんどの大会で採用されているVARだが、世界最高峰と言われるプレミアリーグが是非を問う投票を行うこととなった。イギリス『BBC』によると、ウォルバーハンプトンがプレミアリーグに決議案を提出。6月6日に20クラブが年次総会で集まる際に、来シーズンからVARを廃止するかどうかの投票を行うという。ウォルバーハンプトンは「VARは誠意を持って導入されたが、ファンとサッカーとの関係を損なう、意図せぬ悪影響を多くもたらした」と訴えているという。 2019年からプレミアリーグではVARが導入。試合の重要なジャッジにおいてサポートする役割で導入されているが、VARを巡る問題がプレミアリーグでは頻発している。ハンドに関しては主審の見解もあるため一概には言えないが、最も問題とされているのがオフサイド。オフサイドラインを引けばハッキリするものだが、ラインの引き間違いという人的ミスが頻発。その他にも、主審とVARのコミュニケーションミスなどで間違った判定のまま試合が続行されるなどした。プレミアリーグもVARの問題に関しては認識しているものの、“全面的”にサポート。改善に向けてプロ審判協会(PGMOL)と協議していくという。なお、規則の変更には3分の2(14クラブ)の賛成票が必要となる。なお、2024-25シーズンからはセミオート・オフサイドテクノロジーの導入は賛成されている。試合が止まり、ジャッジに時間がかかることで流れや熱狂が損なわれるということは十分にある。また、VARが入っているにも関わらず、ここまで誤審が頻発することは、テクノロジーというよりは審判団の問題が大きくありそうだ。一方でVARを廃止すれば、再び誤審が増加。ただでさえ微妙な判定が多い中で、ジャッジが正される機会がなくなる。プレミアリーグの提示している数字では、これまでのジャッジの正しさは82%前後だったが、VAR導入により96%にまで増加。セミオート・オフサイドが導入されれば、より正確性が上がると見られている。 2024.05.16 11:30 Thu
