ボカ・ジュニアーズのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ新会長(45)が難しいミッションに直面している。アルゼンチン『Ole』が伝えている。
ボカひいてはアルゼンチンのレジェンド・リケルメ氏。昨年12月のクラブ会長選挙を制し、現役時代同様、名実ともにボカの象徴へと返り咲いたスーパースターだ。
当選から約2カ月、リケルメ新会長は14日、地元TV局の取材で「ラ・ボンボネーラはますます良い雰囲気だ。20万人収容の巨大スタジアムを作ると言いたいところだが、嘘も冗談も必要ない。真実を伝える」とコメントした。
“ラ・ボンボネーラ”はボカの本拠地。首都ブエノスアイレスに1940年に建造され、収容人数は5万4000人。故ディエゴ・マラドーナさんが「サッカーの聖地」と称えたスタジアムは、ライトグリーンの芝生以外は全てがクラブカラーの青と黄色で埋め尽くされており、観客席の傾斜は非常に高く、競馬場を彷彿とさせるメインスタンドの構造も特徴的だ。
実はこのスタジアムに関し、ホルヘ・アモール・アメアル前会長が昨年8月、「収容人数を最大8万2000人まで拡張するプロジェクト」の要請書をブエノスアイレス議会に提出。老朽化対策・観客席拡張・商業施設併設を同時に行う計画とされる。
すなわち、会長選挙でアメアル前会長のバックアップを受けたリケルメ会長はこの計画を継承するということだ。
しかし、リケルメ会長にはある懸念が。
「近所の人たちをどうしようか…。一軒一軒出向き、ドアをノックし、一家の長に対して『この土地を出ていってくれ』と頼まなければいけない。ラ・ボンボネーラの移転は出来ないが、彼らも慣れ親しんだ土地に残るべきだ」
そう、ラ・ボンボネーラは敷地のすぐそばにも近隣住宅が多数あり、拡張にはこれらを取り壊して住民に補償する必要があるのだ。
「誰もが新しくなったラ・ボンボネーラを見たいと願うが、それが叶うのは、すべてがうまくいった時のみだ」
リケルメ会長は1期目から困難なミッションに挑んでいる。

チリ1部プリメーラ・ディビシオンのコロコロは23日、チリ代表MFアルトゥーロ・ビダル(36)の加入を発表した。
ユベントス、バイエルン、バルセロナ、インテルと欧州随一の名門を渡り歩いたビダル。かつて世界最強のボックス・トゥ・ボックスと称えられた36歳は、2022年夏のインテル退団を最後に欧州でのキャリアに終止符を打ち、ブラジル1部の名門フラメンゴへと移籍した。
欧州時代に身につけた圧倒的な存在感、そして対戦相手への威圧感はサッカー王国でも健在で、2022シーズンはフラメンゴのコパ・リベルタドーレス制覇(南米制覇)に貢献。
ただ、2023シーズンは夏の移籍市場でアトレチコ・パラナエンセへ移籍も、加入からまもない昨年9月、代表ウィーク期間中にヒザを負傷し、復帰できぬまま契約満了に。同クラブでの公式戦出場は9試合にとどまった。
それでも、チリのサッカー史上最も偉大な選手と言われる男は、下部組織時代を過ごし、プロデビューも飾った古巣コロコロに帰還。2007年夏に20歳で巣立ってから17年ぶりの復帰ということになった。
ちなみにだが、ビダルはアトレチコ・パラナエンセへ移籍直後の昨年8月、「リケルメからの電話を待ってる」と将来のボカ・ジュニアーズ行き希望を示唆したり、10月には古巣フラメンゴが南米制覇から1年となったことをお祝いするSNS投稿をして両クラブサポーターから顰蹙。
また、11月に入ってボカのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ会長(当時は副会長)が自身に関するコメントを寄せると、今度はその直後に公の場で青黄のボカカラーの服装を着てまでして“お偉いさん"へアピール…ちょっとしたお騒がせ男となっている。
コロコロ復帰で落ち着けば良いのだが...。

元アルゼンチン代表MFのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ氏(45)が、ボカ・ジュニアーズの新会長に選出された。『AP通信』が伝えている。
現役時代にバルセロナやビジャレアルなどでもプレーし、アルゼンチン代表では背番号10を背負ったリケルメ氏。2019年からは選手キャリアの大半を捧げた古巣ボカで副会長を務めている。
リケルメ氏は前回の選挙でホルヘ・アモール・アメアル会長を支援し、同氏の当選に伴って現職に就いていたが、今回の選挙ではアメアル会長の後援を受けて自ら立候補。
今回の選挙では元会長であるマウリシオ・マクリ氏の推薦を受け、立候補していたアンドレス・イバーラ氏との一騎打ちとなったなか、17日に本拠地ボンボネーラで行われた投票では4万3637票が投票され、投票率46%はクラブ新記録になったという。
『AP通信』によると、半数弱の開票時点でリケルメ氏は得票率64.4%、イバーラ氏は35.3%だったという。
なお、現時点でリケルメ氏の公のコメントはないが、イバーラ氏は「我々がしてきたことはすべてクラブを守るためだった。ボカは全てのもの、そして誰よりも優先する。ボカは平和と団結を取り戻す必要がある」とのコメント共に自身の敗北を認めた。
リケルメ氏はボカで通算267試合に出場し、72ゴール68アシストを記録。在籍期間に5度のリーグ優勝と3度のコパ・リベルタドーレスを含む11個のトロフィーを獲得した。
ボカは先日のコパ・リベルタドーレス決勝でフルミネンセに敗れるなど、近年は思うような成績を残せていないが、レジェンド新会長の下で新たな黄金期構築を目指す。

『Ole』によると、この本拠地拡張計画では緑地環境の設置を大前提にしており、商業施設の併設も視野に入っているとのこと。過去にも何度か計画が持ち上がったものの、近隣の住宅などを取り壊して補償する必要があり、進展していなかったという。すなわち、議会に要請書を提出したのは今回が初めてだ。
今夏にウルグアイ代表FWエディンソン・カバーニを迎え入れたボカが新しい時代に向けてスタートを切った。

アルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシがインスタグラムを更新。妻のアントネラ・ロクソさんとの2ショットを公開している。
2シーズン過ごしたパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)を退団し、メジャーリーグサッカー(MLS)のインテル・マイアミ加入を決断したメッシ。代表での活動を終えた後は、元アルゼンチン代表MFマキシ・ロドリゲスと、MFフアン・ロマン・リケルメの引退試合に参加していた。
オフシーズンも引っ張りだこのメッシだが、ようやく休暇にありついたようだ。28日にインスタグラムを更新すると、夜の砂浜で妻のアントネラさんと肩を寄せ合う2ショットを投稿した。
家族写真こそあったものの、メッシがアントネラさんとの2ショットをSNSに投稿するのは1月以来。久しぶりの2ショットにはファンも「永遠の愛」、「こんな関係になりたい
」、「女王と王様」、「最高のカップル」、「私の理想」とコメントを寄せていた。
なお、メッシは少しばかりの休暇を取ってから、アメリカに向かう予定。7月21日のリーグカップでのデビューの可能性が伝えられている。

アルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシが、かつてのチームメイトでありレジェンドでもある2人との別れに心境を綴った。
今夏パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)を退団し、新たなキャリアをアメリカのメジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のインテル・マイアミで過ごすこととなるメッシ。オフシーズンを過ごしている中、母国へと戻り、2人の偉大な選手との最後の時間を過ごした。
その2人とは、元アルゼンチン代表MFマキシ・ロドリゲスと、MFフアン・ロマン・リケルメ。ニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズで現役を引退したマキシ、現在はボカ・ジュニアーズの会長でもあるリケルメ氏のお別れのイベントが先週末行われた。
マキシとリケルメの2つの引退試合に参加したメッシ。母国のファンからは大きな注目を集めたが、メッシ自身はアルゼンチン代表で共に戦った2人のレジェンドとの別れを惜しんだ。
自身のインスタグラムを更新し、2人とのショットを投稿。そして感謝の気持ちを綴った。
「素晴らしい2つの夜。マキシとロマン、招待してくれてありがとう。とてもとても楽しい時間を過ごすことができた」
「そして愛を与えてくれた全ての人々に本当に感謝している」
試合には多くのアルゼンチン代表のレジェンドが参加したものの、1番の注目はメッシ。新天地でのパフォーマンスも大きな注目を集めることになりそうだ。

メジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のインテル・マイアミは23日、スペイン代表MFセルヒオ・ブスケッツ(34)の加入を発表した。
今シーズン限りでキャリア一筋で過ごしてきたバルセロナを退団したブスケッツ。公式戦722試合で18ゴールを記録。歴代3位の出場数を誇り、レジェンドの仲間入りを果たしていた。
バルセロナとの別れを決断したブスケッツだったが、インテル・マイアミへの加入を決断。今夏パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)を退団し、かつてはバルセロナでプレーしていたアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシとアメリカで再会することとなった。
インテル・マイアミはツイッターに動画を投稿しブスケッツの加入を発表した。スペイン『アス』によれば、2025年までの契約を結ぶことになるという。
この動画では、ブスケッツに対して語られた様々な人のコメントを紹介。元スペイン代表監督のビセンテ・デル・ボスケ監督の「試合を見れば彼がわかるわけではない。しかし、彼を見れば試合がわかる」というコメント、レアル・マドリーでライバルとしてプレーしてきたクロアチア代表MFルカ・モドリッチの「これまで対戦した中で最高のミッドフィールダーの1人」というコメント、選手、そして監督として共に仕事をしてきたバルセロナのチャビ・エルナンデス監督の「彼は過去20年間で最高であり、歴史上最高の1人になるだろう」というコメントを紹介した。
それ以外にも、バルセロナ時代に指導したマンチェスター・シティのジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督の「彼は非常に知的で、すべてを理解している」というコメントや、元バルセロナの選手でボカ・ジュニアーズのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ会長の「唯一無二」というコメントも紹介。そして最後には再びチームメイトになるメッシの「ピッチ上では常に5番を着ているけど、実際には選手としても人としても10番だ」というコメントを紹介した。
初めてバルセロナ以外のクラブでプレーすることになるブスケッツ。メッシと共にどんな魅力的なサッカーを見せるのか注目だ。

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)の名シーンが早くもタトゥーとなって刻まれたようだ。
初の冬開催、初の中東開催となった今回のW杯。中3日という超過密日程で選手たちは連戦をこなし、ケガ人もいつになく多くでた大会に。また、様々な出来事が世界中で大きな話題となった大会でもある。
日本代表で言えば、“三笘の1ミリ”とされるスペイン代表戦でのラインを割ったかどうかという判定。その他にも、サウジアラビア代表がアルゼンチンに勝利したり、韓国代表がポルトガル代表に勝利してグループステージを土壇場で突破したり、モロッコ代表がベスト4に進出し、アフリカ勢初の快挙を成し遂げたりと、名シーンは数々生まれている。
その中の1つが、準々決勝のオランダ代表vsアルゼンチン代表のワンシーン。イエローカードが乱発する大荒れの試合となったが、アルゼンチンのエースFWリオネル・メッシがゴール後に見せたパフォーマンスが話題となった。
メッシは、オランダのベンチに向かい、両耳に手を当てて見せびらかすポーズ。これは、元アルゼンチン代表MFフアン・ロマン・リケルメが見せたパフォーマンスだが、そのリケルメを批判したことがあるのがオランダ代表のルイス・ファン・ハール監督だった。
また、試合後には持ち味とも言える減らず口を叩いたことに、アルゼンチンの選手たちは怒りを覚えており、試合後には一悶着あるなど後味の悪い試合ともなっていた。
このシーンは、アルゼンチンで早速タトゥーになった様子。「Boris Gibaut Tattoo Studio」に訪れたお客さんが、太ももにこのシーンを彫ったのだ。
これには「天才だ」、「アルゼンチン人はみんな望んでいる」、「こりゃいいや」、「ブラボー!」というコメントや、「これはいくらでできる?」と興味を持っている人も多数いる状況。このシーンの人気ぶりを見る限り、アルゼンチンが優勝したら、カップを掲げるメッシのタトゥーが大流行りしそうだ。

かつてはアルゼンチン代表としても活躍、バルセロナでもプレーしたフアン・ロマン・リケルメ氏が、後輩であるアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシについて語った。
リケルメ氏は現在は古巣であるボカ・ジュニアーズの副社長を務めているが、現役時代は2002年7月から2005年7月までバルセロナに在籍。アルゼンチン代表としても51試合で17ゴールを記録していた。
アルゼンチン代表ではメッシとも共演を果たしていたリケルメ氏。そのリケルメ氏は、『ESPN』のインタビューに応じ、今夏バルセロナからパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと移籍を果たしたメッシについて言及した。
「メッシがパリで楽しんでいることを願うよ。変な話だが、彼がムバッペやネイマールと一緒にプレーしている姿を見て、みんなで盛り上がっている」
「今チャンピオンズリーグで優勝できなければ、きっともう優勝はないだろう」
ブラジル代表FWネイマールやフランス代表FWキリアン・ムバッペとの共演を果たす他、多くの代表クラスの選手を揃えているPSG。悲願のチャンピオンズリーグ制覇には今シーズンしかないとリケルメ氏は考えているようだ。
また、メッシについては、最終的にはバルセロナへと戻り、引退するだろうとの見解を示した。
「メッシはPSGでチャンピオンズリーグを優勝し、バルセロナで引退すると思う」
果たしてリケルメ氏の言う通りになるのだろうか。

ボカ・ジュニアーズへの移籍が取り沙汰されているマンチェスター・ユナイテッドのウルグアイ代表FWエディンソン・カバーニ(34)だが、イングランドでは幸せではないようだ。
昨シーズン限りでパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)を退団したカバーニは、ユナイテッドに加入。ここまで公式戦24試合の出場で7ゴールを記録するだけでなく、ポストワークや前線からのチェイシングといった献身的な働きを見せている。
1年間の契約延長オプションがあるものの、行使されなければ今シーズン限りでの退団となるが、ボカ・ジュニアーズ移籍を望んでいるとされていた。
そんな中、カバーニの父親であるルイス・カバーニ氏がアルゼンチン『Tycスポーツ』でボカ・ジュニアーズ移籍についてコメント。母国に近いアルゼンチンへ行く可能性がやや高いだろうと語った。
「エディンソンが南米に戻る可能性は60%だろう。とても心配だ。我々はいつも彼を訪ねていたが、周りの人が彼を快く受け入れてくれる美しい場所にいた」
「彼は自分自身を愛し、多くの友人を作ってきたが、今は彼はどこにいても快適ではない」
「家族の近くにいたいと2年以上前から考えていて、それが理由で南米のクラブでプレーすることになるのではないかと考えている」
また、カバーニはボカ・ジュニアーズのフアン・ロマン・リケルメ副社長とも会話をしたとのこと。そのため、ボカ・ジュニアーズ行きを望んでいると考えているようだ。
「エディンソンと話をした。そして、彼はリケルメと多くの会話をしていたので、いつだってボカに向いている。我々が彼と近くなれるように、彼は自分の国の近いところでプレーしたいと考えていると理解している」
父親は息子が母国の近いところへと帰ることを望んでいると考えているようだが、当の本人はインスタグラムに「このシャツを着ていることを誇りに思います」と投稿。ユナイテッドへの愛を伝えている。
