アメリカ、ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)の開幕節が現地時間16日から17日にかけて行われた。
現行のリーグとなってからは12シーズン目を迎えるNWSL。新たにベイFCとユタ・ロイヤルズの2チームが参入し、14チームで争われる。
2回戦総当たりでレギュラーシーズンの優勝者(シールド)を決定し、上位8チームがプレーオフに出場。トーナメント制のチャンピイオンシップが行われる。また、昨季に続いてVARも導入されている。
なでしこジャパンのMF杉田妃和の所属するポートランド・ソーンズFCは、カンザスシティ・カレントとの開幕戦で、派手な打ち合いを演じた。
ベンチスタートとなった杉田は1-3とビハインドの62分から途中出場。その後さらに2点を奪われ、一時は4点差とされたポーランドは、ここから怒涛の反撃。71分にジャニン・ベッキー、その3分後にソフィア・スミスと立て続けのゴールで差を詰めると、90+1分にはベッキーが見事なミドルシュートを突き刺し、1点差まで迫る。だが、反撃及ばず、4-5で敗れた。
キャパシティいっぱいの2万2000人が本拠地に詰め掛けたエンジェル・シティFCは、新規参入のベイFCを相手に0-1で敗戦。遠藤純はケガで欠場、大宮アルディージャVENTUSから新加入したスタンボー華はメンバー外だった。また、ベイFCの記念すべきNWSL初ゴールは、バルセロナから加入のナイジェリア女子代表FWアシサト・オショアラがマークしている。
三浦成美、小林里歌子、松窪真心の日本人3選手が所属するノースカロライナ・カレッジは、永里優季が加入したヒューストン・ダッシュと対戦し、5-1で勝利を収めた。
三浦は先発して74分までプレー、松窪は62分から途中出場して1アシストを含む3点に絡む活躍を披露。小林は故障者リスト入りのためにメンバー外、永里はベンチ入りするも出場はなかった。
INAC神戸レオネッサでもプレー経験があるベヴァリー・ゴーベル・ヤネズ監督が今季から指揮を執るレーシング・ルイビルFCは、ブラジル女子代表MFマルタが先発したオーランド・プラウドと2-2のドロー。レーシングに新加入した黒﨑優香はメンバー外だった。
4年ぶりにNWSL再参入となったユタ・ロイヤルズは、シカゴ・レッドスターズとの敵地戦で0-2と敗戦。初勝利や初ゴールはお預けとなった。旧名称に戻し、エンブレムも一新したシアトル・レインFCは、ワシントン・スピリットをホームに迎え、1-0で勝利している。
また、昨季のシールド、サンディエゴ・ウエーブFCと、プレーオフを制したNJ/NYゴッサムFCの一戦は、両者が15日にスーパーカップに該当するチャレンジカップを戦ったため、後日に行われる。

ノースカロライナ・カレッジのU-20日本女子代表MF松窪真心が、早々に結果を残した。
U-20日本女子代表の一員としてAFC U20アジアカップに参加していた松窪は、4日に行われたグループステージ初戦のU-20ベトナム女子代表戦で、圧巻のハットトリックを達成。チームの10番として、ノックアウトステージ進出とU-20女子ワールドカップ(W杯)出場権獲得に貢献していた。
11日にはチーム事情により。代表を離れることに。17日(現地時間16日)に控えるアメリカ、ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)開幕節へ向け、クラブに帰還し準備をしていた。
クラブに必要とされて引き戻された松窪は、その開幕節、早速のアシストで期待に応えた。
ホームでのヒューストン・ダッシュ戦に62分から途中出場した松窪は、2-1とリードして迎えた77分、中盤でシンプルに縦へ付け、自らも全力でスプリント。ボールホルダーを追い越すと、リターンのスルーパスを受けて右サイド深い位置からダイレクトでクロス。同じく途中出場、ビアンカ・セント=ジョージズのゴールをお膳立てした。
また、86分にも裏抜けから前線でタメを作り、後半アディショナルタイムにも中盤での収め役となっていずれの得点にも絡んでいる。
昨季は、マイナビ仙台レディースから期限付き移籍で途中加入ながらも、チャレンジカップで優勝を手繰り寄せるゴールを挙げてMVPを受賞。リーグ戦でも7試合1得点1アシストの数字を記録していた。
途中出場2人がゴールに絡んだノースカロライナは、最終的に5-1で勝利。初陣を大勝で飾っている。
また、ノースカロライナの三浦成美も先発出場し、74分までプレー。小林里歌子はケガで欠場、ヒューストンの永里優季はベンチ入りも出場せずに終わった。

現在は9人、イングランドでプレーする日本人女子選手の増加傾向を英紙が注目「今後も続く可能性が高い」
イングランドのFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)には、現在9人の日本人選手が所属。アジア人プレーヤーが増加傾向にある理由を、イギリス『BBC』が探った。
マンチェスター・シティのMF長谷川唯を筆頭に、ウェストハムにはDF清水梨紗とMF林穂之香に加え、今季からはFW植木理子も在籍。リバプールではMF長野風花が主軸を担っている。
オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)得点王の実績が評価され、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドにはMF宮澤ひなたが加入。チェルシーにはローンバックでFW浜野まいかが復帰し、今冬にはレスター・シティへ宝田沙織と籾木結花が籍を移した。
なでしこジャパンが2011年ドイツ女子W杯で優勝、2012年にロンドン・オリンピックで銀メダルを獲得した直後にも、2013年にチェルシーへ永里優季(現:ヒューストン・ダッシュ/アメリカ)が、2014年にアーセナルへ大野忍(スペランツァ大阪監督)や近賀ゆかり(サンフレッチェ広島レジーナ)が加入と、イングランドでのプレーを選択する日本人が続いたが、現在は当時とは異なる風向きで、勢いも加速している。
WSLで頭角を現した最初のアジア人選手と言えば、チェルシーで6度のリーグ優勝を達成した韓国女子代表MFチ・ソヨン(2014-2022年5月)をおいて他にないが、『BBC』では、続く存在として長谷川を挙げ、増加傾向にある日本人選手を特集。スカウティングへの投資、テレビによる世界的な女子サッカー中継の増加、移籍市場での競争の激化など、いくつかの要因を挙げた。
「映像が得られるという点で、スカウティングリソースは劇的に増加した。我々には2人の素晴らしいアナリストもいて、間違いのない選手を特定するのに役立っている」と、宝田と籾木を獲得したレスターのウィリー・カーク監督の言葉を引用。ウェストハムのレハネ・スキナー監督は、国際大会を通じて植木の才能を買っていたと話す。
また、イングランド内における女子サッカーの地位が高まったことによる、待遇の変化にも注目。給与の向上や移籍市場の変化により、WSLが選手にとってより魅力的なものになったと伝えている。
各チームの監督ともに、日本人選手の良さに「規律や戦術理解度、技術の高さ」などを挙げる。『BBC』は「これらの要因により、アジア系の才能ある人材がイギリスに流入することになり、最近到着した選手たちの成功を考えると、この傾向は今後も続く可能性が高い」と結んでいるが、まさしくその通りになるだろう。
最後に、各指揮官によるコメントを掲載。日本人選手、特に自チーム所属の選手を大いに評価している点がユニークだ。
「(WSLでプレーする)日本人選手はどんどん増えてくるだろうし、その理由も分かるだろう。非常に規律があり、聞く耳を持っている。強度も高く、ゲームの理解度もとても高い。もちろん、個々の能力は異なる。(長谷川)唯は非常に知的でゲームの読み方は誰にも負けないだろうし、信じられないほどの才能があると思う」(マンチェスター・シティ/ガレス・テイラー監督)

ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のヒューストン・ダッシュは13日、シカゴ・レッドスターズの元なでしこジャパンFW永里優季(36)と11日に契約合意に至ったと発表した。2025年までの2年契約となる。
過去にドイツやイングランドでプレーするなど海外経験豊富な永里は、2017年5月にシカゴ・レッドスターズへ加入し、初のアメリカ挑戦。その後はオーストラリアのブリスベン・ロアーや、当時は神奈川県2部リーグだった男子チームのはやぶさイレブン(現・厚木はやぶさFC)でもプレーし、2021年からNWSLに新規参入したレーシング・ルイビルFCへ加わった。
2022年にはシカゴ・レッドスターズへ再加入。復帰2年目となった2023シーズンはリーグ戦19試合に出場し、3得点を記録した。
3度の女子ワールドカップ(W杯)出場経験を誇る元なでしこジャパンFWはヒューストン・ダッシュ加入に際し、クラブを通じてコメントしている。

なでしこジャパンのFW浜野まいかがチェルシーでの第1歩を踏み出した。
2023年1月にチェルシーへの加入が発表された浜野は、直後にダーム・アルスヴェンスカン(スウェーデン1部)のハンマルビーIFへ期限付き移籍。 ハンマルビーではカップ戦の優勝に大きく貢献し、リーグ戦でも7ゴールをマークするなど、海外で研鑽を積んだ。
オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)でも活躍が期待されたが、開幕直前の練習中に肩を負傷。わずか数分の出場にとどり、大会後にはチェルシーへレンタルバックしてリハビリに励んでいた。
チェルシーのSNSでは次第にトレーニング姿が取り上げられるようになり、エマ・ヘイズ監督も試合前の会見で「もしかしたらマイカもチームに加わるかもしれない。彼女は先日のアカデミーの試合でゴールを決めました……素晴らしい、本当に素晴らしかったです」とのコメントを残していた。
新天地でのデビューが期待されるなか、17日のFA女子スーパーリーグ第10節のブリストル・シティ戦で、浜野はついにベンチ入り。3点リードの74分、イングランド女子代表FWローレン・ジェームズに代わってピッチに立ち、チェルシーでの公式戦初出場を飾った。
なお、チェルシーで日本人選手がプレーするのは、2013年から2014年まで所属していた元なでしこジャパンのFW永里優季以来となる。
19歳のストライカーは試合後に自身のインスタグラムを更新し、英語と日本語で想いを綴っている。
「ワールドカップで2度の脱臼をし、ロンドンで手術を受け、ここまで簡単な道のりではありませんでしたが、チームメイト、フィジカルスタッフ、スタッフ、家族、友達に支えられて、チェルシーのユニフォームを着て、試合に戻ってくること、夢の舞台に立つ事が出来ました。まだまだ始まったばかり!全ての人に感謝しますありがとう!」
浜野の投稿にはチームメイトのオーストラリア女子代表FWサマンサ・カーも反応。同じくこの日がチェルシーでのデビュー戦となったイングランド女子代表GKハンナ・ハンプトンも「yokuyatta」との言葉を残すなど、同僚からも愛されていることが垣間見える。
浜野の戦線復帰は、リーグ5連覇や女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)の戴冠を目指すチェルシーにとってはもちろんのこと、来年2月にパリ・オリンピックアジア最終予選を控えるなでしこジャパンにとっても大きい。トレードマークのシャツインスタイルが、再び注目を集める日も遠くないだろう。

ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のシカゴ・レッドスターズに所属する元なでしこジャパンFW永里優季が、再婚したことを発表した。
永里は、神奈川県厚木市出身で、日テレ・ベレーザ(現:日テレ・東京ヴェルディベレーザ)で2001年から2009年までプレー。その後は海外クラブに所属し、ドイツのポツダムやイングランドのチェルシー、ヴォルフスブルク、1.FFCフランクフルト、アメリカのシカゴ・レッドスターズでプレーした。
2020年には男子チームである神奈川県2部リーグのはやぶさイレブンに加入し話題となると、2021年はNWSLに新規参入したレーシング・ルイビルFCに加入し、2022年からは再びシカゴ・レッドスターズでプレー。今シーズンはNWSLで19試合に出場して3ゴール2アシストの数字を残していた。
私生活では、2011年7月に大儀見浩介氏と結婚したが、2016年に離婚したことを発表。その後2022年1月に交際中の外国人男性と婚約したことを発表していた。
永里は、13日に自身のX(旧ツイッター)を更新。着物姿の自身とタキシード姿のお相手の2ショットを添え、周囲への感謝とともにお相手への思いも綴っている。

現地時間15日、アメリカのナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)はレギュラーシーズンの全日程が終了し、サンディエゴ・ウエーブがクラブ史上初のシールドを獲得。また、チャンピオンシップ・プレーオフに進出する6チームも決定した。
2位で最終節を迎えたサンディエゴ(勝ち点34)は、ホームに9位レーシング・ルイビル(勝ち点27)を迎え、アレックス・モーガンのゴールなどで2-0と勝利を収めた。
他会場では、首位のポートランド・ソーンズFC(勝ち点35)が8位エンジェル・シティFC(勝ち点28)にまさかの大敗。この結果、サンディエゴが逆転でのシールド獲得となり、ポートランドは前年に続き2位でフィニッシュ。また、エンジェル・シティが5位に浮上し、クラブ史上初となるプレーオフ進出を決めている。

エンジェル・シティFCに所属するなでしこジャパンのMF遠藤純が、なでしこジャパンの活動を前に弾みを付けた。
遠藤は現地時間17日に行われたアメリカ、ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)第19節、アウェイでのシカゴ・レッドスターズ戦に56分から途中出場。[4-2-3-1]の左サイドハーフに入り、勝ち越しゴールをマークした。
互いに1点ずつを奪って迎えた71分、エンジェル・シティは最終ラインから縦パスを出し入れしつつ機を伺うと、右サイドから前進し、高い位置で開いて受けたクレア・エムスリーがポケットまで侵入して低弾道のクロス。外からゴール前に顔を出した遠藤がタップインでネットを揺らした。
遠藤は5月7日のカンザスシティ・カレント戦に次ぐ今季リーグ戦2ゴール目。23日に北九州スタジアムで行われるアルゼンチン女子代表戦へ向け、結果を残して合流することとなった。
なお、勝ち越したエンジェル・シティだが、4分後に被弾し、試合は2-2の引き分けに終わった。また、シカゴの永里優季は先発出場し、66分までプレーしている。

シカゴ・レッドスターズの元なでしこジャパンFW永里優季が、見事な組み立ての仕上げをした。
3日、シカゴはナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)第18節で、ワシントン・スピリットとアウェイで対戦。永里は2トップの下がり目、トップ下のような位置で先発し、今季3点目を挙げた。
1点リードのシカゴは60分、自陣からショートパスを駆使して前進。永里は中盤右サイドでボールに絡むと、中へ預けて自らは回り込みながら前線へ顔を出す。
右深い位置からのクロスは合わなかったが、チーム全体が押し上げてボックス内に人数を掛けていたシカゴはこれを拾い、今度は左ポケットからペネロペ・ホッキングが折り返し。ゴール前の永里がきっちりと仕上げた。
GKを起点とし、一度も相手に奪われることなく10人がボールに絡んだ見事なゴール。永里自身も「チームとしていい形で取れたのが何より良かった」と、得点シーンを振り返った。
リードを広げたシカゴはそのまま逃げ切り、2-0で勝利。順位こそ11位だが、プレーオフ出場圏内の6位まで4試合を残して6ポイント差と、可能性を残している。

ノースカロライナ・カレッジへ加入したU-19日本女子代表FW松窪真心の新天地デビューに、高評価が寄せられているようだ。
2022年U-20女子ワールドカップ(W杯)の準優勝メンバーでもある松窪は、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯へ臨むなでしこジャパンのトレーニングパートナーに選出。7月にはマイナビ仙台レディースから期限付き移籍でアメリカ、ナショナル・ウィメンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のノースカロライナへ加入した。
現地時間27日、第17節のシカゴ・レッドスターズ戦に三浦成美と揃って先発出場し、新天地デビュー。21分に退場者を出す難しいチーム状況の中で、75分まで堂々たるプレーを披露している。
NWSLの公式インスタグラムやX(旧ツイッター)も初陣を飾った松窪をピックアップ。「WEリーグのマイナビ仙台からローンで来た10代の気鋭、松窪がカレッジでのデビューを飾った」と紹介した。
数字に直結する結果は残せなかったが、試合を見たファンからは「素晴らしいデビュー!!」、「いいパフォーマンスだった」、「(加入後)初めての試合だとは思えなかった」、「来てくれて嬉しいです!」と高評価。上々の第1歩を踏み出している。
