チッチ退任のブラジル代表、ブラジル王者パウメイラス指揮官が後任候補か

チッチことアデノール・レオナルド・バッチ監督が退任の意向を固めているブラジル代表。後任候補にパウメイラスのアベル・フェレイラ監督(43)が挙がっている。

カタール・ワールドカップでクロアチアに敗れ、準々決勝敗退となったサッカー王国ブラジル。これに伴い、以前から今大会を以って退任を決めていたチッチ監督とは袂を分かつことになる。

再建に向けて適正のある指揮官招聘が必要となるブラジル代表だが、ブラジル『GloboEsporte』によれば、現在後任として最有力となっているのがアベル・フェレイラ監督なのだという。

ポルトガル人の同監督は、かつてはスポルティングCPやブラガのリザーブチームの監督を務め、ここ数年はブラガやギリシャのPAOKなどでトップチームを指揮。2020年10月にPAOKを退任すると、同日にパウメイラス就任が発表された。

パウメイラスでは就任初年度からコパ・リベルタドーレスを2連覇し、2022シーズンはカンピオナート・ブラジレイロ・セリエAを制覇。クラブ・ワールドカップで準優勝した2021年には、南米年間最優秀監督に選ばれた。

ブラジルで申し分ない実績を上げているアベル・フェレイラ監督だが、『GloboEsporte』によれば、ブラジルサッカー協会は43歳指揮官のプレースタイルにやや不満を持っている様子。また、2024年まで残すパウメイラスとの契約もネックとなっているようだ。
