6日、FA女子コンチネンタルリーグカップ準決勝のアーセナルvsアストン・ビラがメドウパークで行われ、4-0で勝利したアーセナルが決勝進出を決めた。歴代最多となる過去6度の優勝を誇るディフェンディングチャンピオンのアーセナルが、初の決勝進出を目指すアストン・ビラに力の差を見せ付けた。
試合開始から1分も満たないうちに、イングランド女子代表FWアレッシア・ルッソに決定機が訪れたアーセナルは、勢いのまま9分に先制点を奪う。ノルウェー女子代表MFフリーダ・マーナムのスルーパスにスウェーデン女子代表FWスティーナ・ブラックステニウスが反応して右ポケットへ侵入すると、強烈な右足の一撃でニアを射抜いた。

さらにその2分後には、イングランド女子代表FWベス・ミードのクロスをルッソが頭で折り返し、再びブラックステニウスがネットを揺らすと、18分にマーナムがボックス手前右から鮮やかなコントロールショットを左上隅へ流し込み、アーセナルが序盤で大きなリードを奪う。

アイルランド女子代表DFケイティ・マッケイブのFKがクロスバーを直撃するなど、なおも攻勢の続くアーセナルは40分、相手のクリアが小さくなったところを見逃さず、イングランド女子代表DFロッテ・ウーベン=モイの折り返しをブラックステニウスが頭で押し込み、前半だけでハットトリックを達成した。
クロスは幾度か上がるものの、フィニッシュまで至らないアストン・ビラは、古巣対戦となったイングランド女子代表MFジョーダン・ノブスのミドルが枠を捉えるが、これが唯一の枠内シュートに。

完勝を収めたアーセナルが7度目の戴冠へ向け、2大会連続の決勝進出を果たした。

決勝の相手は、なでしこジャパンのMF長谷川唯を擁するマンチェスター・シティか、FW浜野まいかを擁するチェルシー。シティvsチェルシーは日本時間7日の28:15キックオフで行われ、国内からもでもFA Playerにて視聴可能となっている。

なお、決勝は31日にモリニュー・スタジアムで行われる。

モーガンとブロンズが6度目! W杯準優勝のイングランドが最多7名選出の女子ワールドイレブンが発表!

アーセナルやエバートンで活躍したケビン・キャンベル氏が54歳で逝去…

15日、アーセナルやエバートンはOBの元イングランド人FWケビン・キャンベル氏が54歳で亡くなったと発表した。 ジャマカにルーツを持つキャンベル氏は、アーセナル下部組織出身のストライカーで、18歳時の1988年にファーストチームデビュー。レンタル移籍も経験しながら1995年まで在籍し、クラブ通算228試合に出場し59ゴールを記録した。 その後はノッティンガム・フォレスト、トラブゾンスポルと渡り歩き、1999年にエバートンへレンタル移籍。完全移籍に切り替わると、黒人選手としてクラブ史上初のキャプテンも務めた。 エバートンでは2005年までプレーし、通算164試合51ゴールを記録。ウェスト・ブロムウィッチ・アルビオン(WBA)、カーディフ・シティでキャリア晩年を過ごし、2007年に現役を引退した。 引退後はメディア上で解説者としても活躍。なお、息子のタイリース・キャンベルもプロサッカー選手で、チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のストーク・シティに在籍している。 エバートンは5月に、キャンベル氏が大病を患い、入院していることを報告。「非常に体調が悪い」と発表していた。また、アーセナルは「元ストライカーのケビン・キャンベルが短い闘病の末に亡くなったと知り、大きな悲しみに暮れている」としており、病に臥したことを伝えている。 2024.06.15 22:04 Sat

日本代表DF冨安健洋(アーセナル)が、シリア代表戦を振り返った。 11日、エディオンピースウイング広島で2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選の最終節が行われ、日本はシリアと対戦した。 日本は6連勝をかけての戦いに。対するシリアは、負ければ2次予選敗退が濃厚となる難しい一戦となったが、日本は5-0で圧勝。アウェイに続いて2試合連続続けて5ゴールを記録。2次予選は6連勝、24得点無失点という圧倒的な強さを見せつけた。 3バックの一角で先発出場し、後半は右サイドバックに入った冨安。試合を振り返り、「勝てて良かったです」と6戦全勝で終われたことを喜んだ。 3バックについては「ビルドアップのところでもノッキングはなかったですし、個人的にもやりやすくやれました」と一定の手応えがあったとのこと。同サイドのMF堂安律については「守備のところでできるだけ律を前に出してやりたいという気持ちもありましたし、それはできたと思います」と語り、「律も勝手に行ってくれるので、後ろを調節して、ポジティブな内容だったと思います」と、コンビネーションでも上手くバランスを取ってやれたようだ。 後半はDF伊藤洋輝を入れて4バックの関係になったが、「選手を入れ替えて、特徴的に4枚に見えたと思いますけど、ビルドアップの時は4とか3は相手を見て変えました」と、相手の動きに合わせて、立ち位置を変えていたという。 また「前半上手くいっていたので、4だから、3だからとあまり変わらないようにと後ろでは喋っていっていました。立ち位置のところは相手を見ながら意識してやりました」と、ピッチ上でしっかりと判断し、上手く対応したと振り返った。 どちらのシステムもプレーした冨安は「個人的に言えば、前半の方がやりやすさがありました」と、[3-4-2-1]に手応えがあったとし、「後半は立ち位置のところでは有効的ではなかったかなと思います」と、少し後半は問題を抱えていたという。 具体的には[4-4-2]の相手に対し「埋めるべきスペースがあって、それを全員が共有できているわけではないです」と、コメント。「ただ、このチームが求められていることでもないので、選手との関係で調整していく感じですね」と振り返り、チームとして上手くポジションを取り切れなかったとした。 MF遠藤航が途中交代したことで、キャプテンマークを巻くこととなった冨安。「特にはないです笑」と、特別な感情はなかったとしたが「年齢的に上になって来ていますし、代表だけでなくアーセナルでも。もう若くないなと思っています」と、そういった役割を担う年齢になっていることを感じているという。 アジアカップでは苦戦した日本。最終予選ではその苦しんだ相手たちとの対戦が待っている。 「まずはしっかり無失点で2次予選を終えられたことはポジティブです」と語った冨安は、「最終予選はレベルが数段上がると思うので、また集まったときにしっかり勝てる準備をしたいですし、それぞれ自分のチームでの時間の方が長いので、出場時間を伸ばすだったり、体調を整えたりすることが大事ですね」と、良いコンディションで9月を迎えることが大事だとした。 現在の日本代表は、ディフェンスラインは海外組ばかり。今回のメンバーは、DF長友佑都(FC東京)以外は全員海外組。長友も長らくヨーロッパでプレーしたため、カタールでプレーするDF谷口彰悟以外は高いレベルを経験した選手ばかりだ。 冨安はディフェンスラインについて「間違いなく厚みはできていると思います」と、選手が揃っているとコメント。「今までの代表だと前の選手のタレントが見られがちでしたけど、今はチーム全体的にどのポジションにも良い選手たちがいることは間違いなく良いことです」と、守備の選手たちを含め、チーム全体の個々のクオリティが上がっているとした。 2024.06.12 06:45 Wed

今季18試合32得点がバイエルンを魅了...アーセナルが16歳チド・オビの流出を阻止すべく必死

ミランがザークツィー争奪戦を一歩リード? アーセナル&ユナイテッドの関心よそに個人合意か

ミランがボローニャのオランダ代表FWジョシュア・ザークツィー(23)の獲得を進めているようだ。 フランス代表FWオリヴィエ・ジルーが退団し、ストライカーの獲得を目指しているミラン。今シーズン躍進を遂げたボローニャで、公式戦37試合12ゴール7アシストと本格開花の兆しを見せたザークツィーが有力候補となっている。 7月から有効の契約解除金4000万ユーロ(約67億6000万円)を支払う準備もあるとされるミランは、ザークツィー側との交渉も推進。イタリア『カルチョメルカート』によると、ボーナス込みの年俸400万ユーロ(約6億8000万円)、5年契約の条件で合意に達したという。 一方、ネックとなっているのが代理人に支払う手数料で、当初は1500万ユーロ(約25億3000万円)の大金を要求されたとのこと。しかし、ミラン首脳陣はこの引き下げに取り組んでおり、前向きな感触が得られているようだ。 なお、イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、アーセナルとマンチェスター・ユナイテッドもこのストライカーの動向を注視。関心が噂されていたユベントスは、現在、他の選手に目を向けているとのことだ。 2024.06.10 13:48 Mon
