アストン・ビラは23日、スイス女子代表FWアリーシャ・レーマン(24)との契約延長を発表した。
契約期間は2026年6月までとなり、1年間の延長オプションもついている。
ヤングボーイズでキャリアをスタートさせたレーマンは、2018年夏にウェストハムへと移籍。エバートンへのレンタル移籍を経て、2021年にアストン・ビラに加入した。
アストン・ビラでは、2シーズン在籍し公式戦54試合に出場し、10ゴールを記録している。
スイス女子代表として、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)にも出場していた。
レーマンは自身のインスタグラムを更新し「滞在できるのがこの上なく嬉しい!」とコメントしていた。
「最もセクシーなサッカー選手」としても話題を呼び、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1500万人を超えるほど。アストン・ビラとの契約が切れる予定の中で長期契約を結んだが、今シーズンもピッチで躍動する姿を見せてもらいたい。

バレンシアは30日、アストン・ビラからアルゼンチン人MFエンソ・バレネチェア(23)を1年間のレンタル移籍で獲得したことを発表した。
母国のニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズの下部組織出身のバレネチェアは、2019年に加入したスイスのシオンでヨーロッパでのキャリアをスタート。その後、2020年1月にユベントスNext Gen(U-23チーム)に加入。セリエCに所属するクラブで主力を担うと、2022年11月に行われたパリ・サンジェルマン戦でユベントスでのファーストチームデビューを飾った。
ダイナミックなセントラルMFは昨シーズンにレンタル先のフロジノーネでセリエA36試合に出場し、今シーズンはユベントスのファーストチームでの活躍も期待されたが、ブラジル代表MFドウグラス・ルイスの獲得オペレーションに際してU-21イングランド代表MFサミュエル・イリング・ジュニア(20)と共にアストン・ビラへ完全移籍していた。
そして、今シーズンはバレンシアの地で研鑽を積むことになった。

マンチェスター・シティはイングランド代表MFジャック・グリーリッシュ(25)をイングランドフットボール界初の1億ポンド(約155億8600万円)プレーヤーとして獲得する準備ができているようだ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えた。
アストン・ビラのシンボルプレーヤーとしてだけでなく、キャプテンも担うグリーリッシュ。今季はケガの影響もあり、フル稼働できなかったが、公式戦27試合7ゴール12アシストを記録し、チームの中心選手として変わらずの存在感を示した。
そんなグリーリッシュの契約は昨夏に延長され、2025年6月まで。ユーロ2020の代表入りも果たしたグリーリッシュを重要視するディーン・スミス監督はイングランド史上最高額の移籍金が積まれない限り、地元のヒーローを手放すとは考えにくい。
だが、シティは高額がかかるのを承知した上で、ジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督も長らく称賛するグリーリッシュの獲得に意欲。移籍金のみなのか、トレードを含めた交渉になるのか不明だが、イングランド史を塗り替える移籍金を投じての獲得を目論んでいるという。

プレミアリーグ最終節、マンチェスター・シティvsアストン・ビラが22日にエティハド・スタジアムで行われ、3-2で逆転勝利したシティが2年連続8度目のリーグ優勝を決めた。
2位のリバプール(勝ち点89)との熾烈な優勝争いを繰り広げたシティ(勝ち点90)は、痺れる状況を継続したまま運命の今季最終戦を1ポイント差の首位で迎えることに。連覇を懸けたホーム最終戦では、リバプールのレジェンドであるスティーブン・ジェラード率いる14位のアストン・ビラ(勝ち点45)を迎え撃った。
グアルディオラ監督はこの一戦に向け2-2のドローに終わったウェストハム戦から先発2人を変更。ジンチェンコに代えて負傷明けのストーンズを右サイドバックに置き、カンセロを左サイドバックに。さらに、グリーリッシュに代えてフォーデンを復帰させた。
熱狂的なエティハドの声援を後押しに集中した入りを見せるシティは、フォーデンとカンセロが並ぶ左サイドを起点に序盤から際どいシーンを作り出す。
以降は70%を超えるボール支配率で相手を押し込むシティだが、自陣に引いて中央を締める相手の守備に苦戦。幾度となくボックス内へ侵入するが、フィニッシュまで持ち込めない状況が続く。24分には相手CKからのロングカウンターを発動し、デ・ブライネの持ち上がりからガブリエウ・ジェズスがボックス内に侵入。丁寧な折り返しをフォーデンに届けるが、右足で放ったシュートはDFに触られて枠の左に外れる。
この決定機をキッカケに攻撃のギアが上がったホームチームは、好調のジェズスがボックス付近で積極的な仕掛けを見せ、この試合がビラでのリーグデビューとなるGKオルセンを脅かす。
だが、決定機はおろか枠内シュートまで持ち込めない状況が続くと、相手の狙いの形から痛恨の先制点を奪われてしまう。
37分、前線からのプレスを剥がされてドウグラス・ルイス、ジェイコブ・ラムジーと中央をドリブルで運ばれる。そして、左サイド深くのディーニュにクロスを入れられると、大外から中央に絞ってきた右サイドバックのキャッシュにカンセロの死角から飛び出されてヘディングシュートを浴びると、GKエデルソンの手をはじいたボールがゴールネットに吸い込まれた。

アストン・ビラに所属するスイス女子代表FWアリーシャ・レーマンが自身のファンに失望しているとした。イギリス『タイムズ』が伝えた。
レーマンはヤングボーイズの女子チームでファーストチームのキャリアをスタートさせ、2017年10月22日に長野Uスタジアムで行われたなでしこジャパンとの試合で、当時18歳でスイス女子代表デビューを果たした。
その後はイングランドのFA 女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)、ウェストハムに加入し、エバートンへのレンタル移籍を経て現在はアストン・ビラに所属している。
そのレーマンは自身のSNSで多くのフォロワーを抱え、特にインスタグラムでは1150万人のフォロワーがいる人気インフルエンサーに。同胞でテニス界のレジェンドであるロジャー・フェデラーよりもフォロワー数は多い。
レーマンのインスタグラムでは、トレーニングの様子やサッカーの投稿はもちろんのこと、ピッチ外での姿も多く投稿され、ドレスアップした美しい姿やセクシーな水着姿も数多く投稿されている。
人気を博すレーマンだが、ファンの反応について失望しているとインタビューで話し、サッカーをする姿も見てもらいたいとした。
「多くの人がインスタグラムを通じて私の人生のソーシャルな側面だけを見て、実際にどういうサッカーのプレーをするのかを見ていない」
「このことについては、毎日ハードワークしているから、時々ガッカリする。毎日トレーニングをしているし、最高の選手になりたいと思っているわ」

今シーズンのレーマンはFAWSLで12試合に出場し1ゴール1アシストを記録。インフルエンサーとしてだけでなく、しっかりとフットボーラーとしての側面も見せている。
「私がみんなに伝えたいのは、文字通り、どんな風にだってなれるし、サッカーもできるということ」
「化粧をしたり、自分が好きなことをしたり、ネイルやまつ毛をつけたりする。でもサッカーもできるの。それは何かを選ばなければいけないということではないわ」
「人に言われて変わるのではなく、自分が変わることが大切なの」
「若い頃に多くの人が『化粧はしてはダメ。まつ毛はプレー中につけてはいけない』と言ってきたわ。でもある時『なぜ?』と思ったの。それが普通だし、誰も傷つくことはないわ」
一流のフットボーラーを目指す上で、おしゃれや化粧など伝統的に女性が嗜んできたことを捨てる必要はないというレーマン。インスタグラムを観ている1000万人以上のフォロワーが、プレーをしっかり見てくれる日が来ることを願うばかりだ。
