【プレミアリーグ第6節プレビュー】優勝候補のチェルシーとシティが激突! ノース・ロンドン・ダービーも開催

前節は、トッテナムとのロンドン・ダービーに快勝したチェルシーをはじめ、リバプールやマンチェスター・ユナイテッドなど開幕から好調を維持するチームが揃って白星を挙げ、5試合終了時点でその3チームが勝ち点「13」でトップ3に君臨している。

その座を奪わんとするマンチェスター・シティは今節、首位チェルシーとのビッグマッチをアウェイで迎える。プレミアリーグにおける両者の対決は、ここ12試合では一度も引き分けたことがなく、シティが7勝、チェルシーが5勝となっている。

だが、直近3度の対戦は、昨季のチャンピオンズリーグ決勝を含めてチェルシーが3連勝中。グアルディオラ監督率いるチームが同じ相手に4連敗した前例はなく、チェルシーが勝てば史上初めてのこととなる。

両クラブはこの一戦のあと、CLにてシティはパリ・サンジェルマン、チェルシーはユベントスとの大一番が控えている。お互いに次の試合も睨んだ戦い方が求められるが、百戦錬磨の両指揮官の出方は果たして。

2位のリバプールはアウェイでブレントフォードと対戦する。リーグ戦での対戦は1947年5月以来となるが、グリフィン・パークでのその一戦は1-1の引き分けに終わり、ブレントフォードは2部降格、リバプールはリーグ優勝が決まった試合でもあった。

プレミアリーグにおいてはブレントフォードは初昇格のため、今回が初めての対決となる。リバプールは昇格組相手に過去27戦で22勝4分け1敗と圧倒的な戦績を残しているが、その1敗は昨シーズンのフルアムとのホーム戦だった。

なお、サラーがゴールを決めれば、リバプールではスティーブン・ジェラードの持つ、リーグ戦におけるロンドンでの13得点に並ぶことになる。

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドはホームにアストン・ビラを迎え撃つ。プレミアリーグでは37勝を挙げている相手で、同リーグにおいて、同一の対戦相手からこれほどの白星を挙げているケースはない。

今季もここまで4ゴールと好調のブルーノ・フェルナンデスは、リーグ戦で過去にアストン・ビラと対戦した全3試合でゴールを決めており、その全てがPKによるもの。プレミアリーグにおいて、同一の相手に対し、100%PKのみの最多得点記録は、ユナイテッド相手にトロイ・ディーニーが挙げた4得点となっている。

今節はまた、アーセナルとトッテナムによるノース・ロンドン・ダービーも開催される。アーセナルは開幕3連敗と最悪のスタートを切ったものの、ラムズデールがゴールマウスに立ったここ2試合はいずれも無失点勝利。アーセナルにおいて、デビュー戦3試合連続でクリーンシートを記録したのは、アレクサンダー・マンニンガーとダビド・オスピナの2人だけだ。

トッテナムは対照的に、ここ2試合はいずれも3失点で連敗中。3試合ぶりの白星を挙げたいところだが、同クラブの歴代監督で最初のアーセナル戦に勝利したのは、過去10人でわずかに1人。ジョゼ・モウリーニョが昨年7月に勝利している。

「美しいユニフォーム」「これは好き」ドルトムントが本拠地の50周年を祝った特別ユニフォームを発表! 喜ぶファンからは悲鳴も「何枚買わせるつもりだ」

「相手に恐怖を与える赤」ストイコビッチ監督率いるセルビアがユーロ用のユニフォームを発表!アウェイは「大会で最も優れたデザインの 1 つ」

「有刺鉄線?」珍しいストライプには困惑も?前回大会8強のスイスがユーロ用の新ユニフォームを発表

チェコ代表がユーロ用の新ユニフォームを発表!アウェイは史上最強と名高い2004年のデザインをイメージ
